Chapter 309: Mother would have been proud

Despite the tense atmosphere outside the border and the constant sounds of booming spells, the wedding arrangements had come out perfectly. One would think that everything was normal, seeing the rush of the wolves in putting up the last-minute decorations. Children were running around squealing happily as they rushed past the elders. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow on the garden below.

The pack had refurbished the hidden garden behind the packhouse to prepare a decent venue for the ceremony to take place. Elize let out a deep sigh as she stared out the window. Though it was at least three miles away, she could see everything from where she stood. The place held an awful lot of bad memories for her.
