Training

The combination of the bright sun and a breeze of wind brought a heatwave to strike the city. As the wave of hot wind caused many people to go inside to escape it, the warriors within the Warrior Traning Courtyard dripped of sweat as they honed their skill in their martial arts and spell arts.

Those training in martial arts were mostly muscular as they needed strong bodies to effectively use these martial arts while those who focused on spell arts had smaller bodies but each time they moved their hands in a certain pattern or chanted the spell would have immense damage potential.

If warriors were to train out in the open the entire area would have been destroyed. This is why the Training Courtyard had individual Training Rooms which were made out of Spirit Obsidian, one of the strongest materials in the domain that was impossible for those under the Master Warrior Rank to even make a mark on.

Of course, the trade-off for such defensive ability is that it is incredibly heavy so people cannot use it as an indestructible armor or use it to make a weapon.

Another reason the Training Room was special was that the rooms contained a spiritual array called the Qi Gathering Array that was set up by a Rank 1 Spiritualist using 5 Spiritual Runes that transformed into 5 Qi Gathering Runes. This made the rooms practically treasures as it was able to increase the amount of Qi one can gather as well as hone their control over the Qi allowing them to advance faster. Also, the increased amount of Qi made it easier for the warriors to recover so they can train for much longer than in a normal area. This was what made the rooms worth 1 Spirit Stone per day.

Entering the Training Courtyard, he saw a soldier standing next to a box and a stand filled with badges. These badges were what allowed the warrior to enter and exit the rooms and the badge would detect how many days the person stayed in the Training Room. It would then be put into a slot in the box and it would display how many Spirit Stones the Warrior had to pay.

Shen Tian got a badge and entered a Training Room in the far right. He felt like this room had the strongest flow of Qi so it would be most beneficial for his training.

Entering the room, a wave of Qi rushed at him like a gust of wind when you walk the beach of an oceanside. He closed the door behind him and when he put the badge into the slot next to the door it locked itself and it wouldn't unlock unless he took out the badge.

Looking around he saw exercise equipment around the floor which Shen Tian could use to learn how to control his newfound fleshy body strength, but what interested Shen Tian more were the 10 white humanoids that were in the right corner of the room.

These white humanoids were actually called Combat Puppets and their worth was equal to this room itself. These puppets were also made by Spiritual Rune transforming them into runes that allowed the puppets to gain a sort of consciousness when awakened to defend themselves. This was how Warriors would train their techniques as they would practice fighting these puppets.

They were made out of White Ancient Wood which was a mysterious material that had the ability to retain these transformed Spiritual Runes for incredibly long amounts of time. These puppets had the ability to change its combat strength from Apprentice Warrior to Disciple Warrior and so even a True Warrior would struggle fighting against 10 Disciple Warrior Puppets. This made for training that was hardcore and pushed the Warriors to the limit as no matter what they did these puppets didn't feel pain and they would continue attacking unless deactivated.

The Fire Cloud Step Martial Art was a movement martial art that had 2 abilities: creating a smokescreen to cover the user and increasing the speed of the user to their absolute limit.

Shen Tian also readied his hands as he was ready to unleash his Flaming Buddha Palm Martial Art and his Violet Sun Orb Spell Art.

To activate the puppets you had to shout the difficulty level and how many he wanted to activate "Active 5 Puppets at the Disciple Warrior Rank!"

5 of the 10 puppet's eyes started to glow as they stood up. The Spiritual Runes of the puppet exuded its full power as they all at the same time launched their fists towards Shen Tian. Using his speed from the Fire Cloud Step he dodged the combination attack from the puppets and Shen Tian started the hand signs to summon the Violet Sun Orb Spell Art.

Shen Tian knew he could activate his eyes to create the spell in an instant without the chant but he didn't want to expose his eyes so he decided to practice without using his eyes. It took him 2 seconds to create the Violet Sun Orb because his body's speed was immense compared to before and he was able to control his Qi and Body perfectly while executing the Fire Cloud Step. This was a feat Shen Tian wouldn't be able to do without the Eternal Mind and the Immortal Skeleton.

Shen Tian launched the Violet Sun Orb towards the puppets and the puppets didn't have a chance to dodge the orb and all they could do was block as much damage as possible using their spiritual runes. The room shook as the explosion from the Violet Sun Orb was massive and even Shen Tian covered his face as the residue flames hit him.

The 5 puppets had been killed instantly but a normal Disciple Warrior would most likely only suffer some external injuries and might be slowed down due to the danger of the violet flames. This showed that the puppets were a bit weaker than normal disciple warriors.

The puppets that had been somewhat chipped by the orb deactivated as the Spiritual Rune worked to fix the puppets. In that time, the remaining 5 puppets activated to replace the 5 deactivated ones, and Shen Tian once again got ready. It seemed the puppets had increased both their strength and vigilance as it saw the other puppets fall from one strike.

This surprised Shen Tian as he would have never expected the puppets to learn from battle, just like a human would learn from battle. Shen Tian thought to himself "Maybe the city lord is allowing people to use these puppets, not to protect the city but to allow them to learn in battle before using them as a force of his own."

Shen Tian chuckled to himself as this was a ridiculous theory as he couldn't think of why the City Lord would allow such treasures to be used by random Warriors paying one Spirit Stone per day.

He saw the puppets surround him this time instead of giving him a way to use the speed from the Flame Cloud Step to back away, but Shen Tian shook his head as he stomped on the ground causing a rush of black smoke to fill the Training Room. The puppets couldn't see Shen Tian, but Shen Tian could clearly see them using his eyes.

Normally, this smokescreen ability was used as a means to retreat from danger but now because Shen Tian's eyes were so powerful that he could see threw walls not to mention see threw a bit of smoke, it could be used for combat.

His palm was filled with a golden flame that seemed to have a bit of divinity as if it was a flame blessed by Buddha himself and when he struck out that palm was filled with intense strength as his Immortal Chakra merged with his palm as well giving it even more strength. His fleshy body was incredibly powerful so when it struck the puppet it flew straight into the wall and what shocked Shen Tian was a dent was made in the wall. With his fleshy body alone, Shen Tian was able to create a dent in one of the strongest materials known to the mortal world.

He smiled as his body seemed to disappear as on his foot, a golden radiance appeared as his Fire Cloud Step merged with the Immortal Boots created by his Immortal Chakra making him even faster and his body was covered by the Immortal Aegis created by Immortal Chakra allowing him to become almost indestructible as the puppets descended onto the spot Shen Tian had attacked 1 of the 5 remaining puppets.

For the rest of the 3 days, Shen Tian continuously honed himself using the 3 Arts that he would use in battle at the Sect Selection Tournament.
