The 3 Sects

Shen Tian's body was filled with the stench of his sweat and impurities dripping out. He reached the mid-level of the Apprentice Rank and a faint appearance of a ring could be seen appearing around his God Core. He also cultivated a 2nd God Rune and filled it with Immortal Chakra

The puppets were all destroyed and piled in the corner of the room but they would soon repair themselves and go back into their peak form. Shen Tian had learned a lot about combat through these puppets and he even thought about forging some for himself to use as his own private army as he would need to fight against armies of people if he wanted revenge.

The God Qi in his God Core was no completely free of impurities and due to his constant refinement under training his martial arts and spell arts the control of his fleshy body got better and control of his Qi which was already excellent got better.

Using the Cleaning Spell Art he was able to clear himself of all the sweat and impurities in his body before putting on a new set of clothes from the Spatial Ring and leaving the Training Room.

He had spent 3 days in the room training constantly feeding himself with only Qi and using his willpower to push through. Now that he had left the training room and he had cleaned himself up he felt some refreshment as he reenergized himself to get ready for the upcoming tournament.

He put the badge in the slot of the box where the soldier stood next to and on the display it put the number '3' telling he had to put in 3 Spirit Stones in the box. He placed 3 Spirit Stones in the box before speeding towards the Hall of Sects.

Using Qi in civilian streets was forbidden and to enforce this there were always guards roaming the streets and there were Qi Detectors and Surveillance Orbs that would keep a close eye on everything in the city. Obviously, since this was a city of wealth it would also attract a lot of thieves and bandits who hoped to make a fortune from stealing off a poor man's store or even try to rob the Silver Leaf City Bank which had happened once before.

The man who had tried to rob the bank was now among the row of rotting hanging corpses outside the city warning those who dare try to rob in Silver Leaf City.

But what was shocking was that he created afterimages as he ran towards the Hall of Sects without even using the slightest bit of Qi to aid himself. The citizens watched in shock as they saw the afterimages of a child flash through the streets without the Qi Detectors going off and they wondered if they were broken.

Shen Tian eventually reached the Hall of Sects and he glanced at the pagoda designed structure and sighed as it reminded him of the Spirit Flame Clan's Clan Hall where he used to run around and play with his friends as their parents attended meetings in the upper floors. Shaking his head, his face went back to its cold and indifferent expression and he walked in.

He glanced around at the massive entrance room and saw a table where a huge line of kids stood to get signed up for the tournament, a ton of kids who had already signed upstanding to the side, and in the middle where 10 huge arenas that were set up for the tournament.

He entered the line, and 10 minutes later it was his turn. He paid the one Spirit Stone fee to enter the tournament and gave his information to the worker of the Hall of Sects "My name is... uh, Wang Lin, and I have the Fire Elemental Spirit."

She looked at him weirdly before nodded her head and put down the information while Shen Tian had a wry expression, he forgot to think of an alternate name as he couldn't go around saying he was Shen Tian so in a hurry he thought of his father's pet bird, Wang Lin.

She then asked him to place his hand on a white stone and when he did some words came out of a projection of light "Bone Age: 12 Years Old. Rank: Apprentice Warrior."

He was one of the youngest kids here as most of them were around 16 years-old to 18 years-old. This was why she looked at Shen Tian weirdly, he was too young to have such cultivation. This caused her to nod her head in amazement despite having a normal Elemental Spirit his talent for cultivation was astounding.

Shen Tian entered the group of kids who were waiting for the tournament to start, he looked around and noticed that everyone was at an Apprentice Warrior so he knew with just his fleshy body he would be able to destroy anyone he tried to face him.

He listened to the line listing their name and spirit, but one of them made him look up "My name is Jian Fan and I have the Spear Spirit."

The crowd burst into conversation after hearing this:

"The Spear Spirit? Isn't that a special Spirit that the Divine Spear Clan Disciple is able to summon once every thousand years?"

"Amazing! I have done a lot of research into Spirits but I have never seen anything other than an Elemental Spirit in real life. The Spear Spirit allows the wielder to control spear as if it was a part of their own body. It gives them an immense battle power and the Spear Spirit specifically is able to increase their body strength according to written records."

Shen Tian's eyes flashed over as he noticed 2 old men and 1 old woman suddenly appear in one of the balconies on the first floor that looked over the first floor. His eyes focused on the old woman and when he looked through his memories he remembered seeing her face slashing and killing one of his family's oldest and most loyal servant, someone Shen Tian considered his family.

Suddenly his eyes seemed to activate unconsciously as the golden lotus seemed to be corrupted by a crimson vine that wrapped around it. Killing intent flooded his body as his eyes seemed to want to obliterate the old women right then and there.

Sadly, Shen Tian couldn't not only would he be killed but she was too powerful. This old woman was an Ambassador of the Joyflower Palace meaning she had to be at the Master Warrior Rank or higher which was something Shen Tian was incapable of facing currently.

As the 2 old men were arguing about who would take the Spear Spirit Boy the old women noticed a strange aura being directed at her and when she looked into the crowd she had surprise on her face when she saw a young boy looking straight at her attempting to hide his killing intent.

The old woman laughed as she spoke "My, my. That boy has killing intent at such a young age, he must be talented if he is able to be an Apprentice Warrior while being so young. I wonder what I must have done to receive such anger from a slave like him."

The old men directed their attention to the boy she was talking about and one of the old men's eyes squinted as he was able to catch a golden glint in the boy's eyes before it disappeared. The old man was the Life-Killing Sect Ambassador and he took a mental note of the boy's appearance before telling himself "That child, he seems to have a special pair of eyes. Even if he has a normal Elemental Spirit, it seems that his cultivation talent if immense and his eyes don't seem to belong to any of the 3 Ancient Eye Clans that exist so he might become a pillar of my sect. I cannot lose him."

The Joyflower Palace Ambassador gripped the railing of the balcony as she looked at the boy and licked her lips "That little boy is a little bit special, and his affinity to Qi must be great. I must make sure she becomes my slave so we can dual cultivate. I can steal his lifespan and talent, hehe. He is also my type since he will probably try to resist me, but that makes me want him so I can break him. My sect must have done something to him because I don't ever remember seeing him or else he wouldn't have such strong killing intent towards me."

This women's deranged appearance didn't escape the eyes of the other two ambassadors and inside their hearts, they shouted "Insane Senile Women!"

The Life-Killing Sect Ambassador stepped forward seeing that the kids had all finally received their tokens for the tournament and he shouted quieting everyone instantly "Welcome to the annual Sect Selection Tournament!
