Chapter 163: Black visit Mary Geoise a second time.

…

Meanwhile, the entire world just didn't know yet that an earth-shattering event had just happened in the sacred place known as Marie Geoise.

Indeed, the still remaining people up there were still in the process of figuring out just WHAT in the freaking name of the D happened that night! What went wrong? Why? And How?!

Everything was fine, the ambassadors, whether corrupt politicians or not, were doing their things, that is talking…

The guards were on duty and yet none could prevent what happened next.

"Sigh, I can go home in a minute, thanks, God…" A guard sighed in relief.

"Lucky you, I have eight more hours to go on, tch!" Another said and then added. "I guess, I will have only the moon as a companion…"

He said and they both unconsciously lifted their heads to appreciate the beauty of this heavenly body but instead of the beautiful silver light, they only saw an eerie pink light covering the moon.

"What the heck?"

"The red moon is tonight?"

"The fucking what?"

"The red moon, the damn phenomenon, it's not supposed to be now!"

"Are you blind!? It's pink, not red dumbass!"

A moment later, they spot a figure up there glowing a similar dark pink color. He was perhaps nearly 1 kilometer away, but with his presence, they could clearly see him.

"What the fuck!? There's- someone is flying!?"

"Oh shit, oh shit! Q- Quick, we've got to call in reinforcements!" One of the two shouted and was about to move when they saw the figure high up in the sky suddenly flashing and reappearing much closer than before, about a hundred meters away.

They could see him clearly now, the moonlight that shone from behind him was seemingly filtered out and turned pinkish colored as they passed by him as if he was transforming the silver moonlight into pink, dyeing the landscape below him in a new color.

In normal times, the guards down below were one to easily make fun of people they could afford to offend, being guards of the sacred land, they had their pride and could afford to offend some people. And well, seeing a person covered in pink was not the most effective way to be respected by the masses. In fact, it was very easy to be made fun of especially since the intruder was clearly a man from the outstanding and certainly chiseled body he had which easily showed through his clothes, drawing out profound jealousy out of them.

But, despite that, despite their duty, despite their narrowed minds, their jealousy toward this unknown person, none of the two drew their spears, swords, or guns or even opened their mouths to speak. However, do not misunderstand though, this was not done out of politeness no…

But out of fear…

At the very sight of the scythe, he held onto his hand….

A fear which probably came out of their very souls…

A fear so deep that it froze them on the spot…

They were only ordinary humans after all…

In his presence, they felt like bowing and pleading for forgiveness…

A very soft, and silent melody followed by what seemed to be a choir humming in grief and melancholy escorted this strange man… Death…

…

This was the only thing that the witnesses had reported before the tragedy happened.

No, this was the only thing they could report for their very souls were still shivering in recollection of that man.

…

"Dammit!"

Boom!

In an incredibly large office, an above middle-aged and the rather massive built man punched his office desk out of anger and exploded it to pieces.

This man was Kong! The commander in chief and former fleet-admiral of the Marine!

"F*ck…" He gritted his teeth as he thought about the current situation.

This was no less than a tragedy! No, this is a catastrophe!

In his hand, a piece of paper written on and actually being the feared reports of that night. As he read it again and again, his eyes showed confusion, anger, indignation, and fear as well.

The reports he got could literally plunge the world into panic if he handled it in a bad way.

While he was pondering over various things, his den den mushi rang as he took it.

"Yes?" He replied with a grumpy voice.

"Chief Kong, the elders require your presence immediately…"

"...I'm on my way…" Kong said with a somber expression and hung right away and stood right away before making his way out of the office with the reports in hand.

It didn't take too long for him to reach the intended place.

Entering the meeting room though, a gloomy and heavy atmosphere welcomed him in.

"..." The five old geezers were completely silent at this.

However, as silence was not a viable solution to their problems, one of the old has-beens finally spoke.

"This is a problem…" The bald old geezer said with an ugly expression.

"I know…"

"A very huge problem…" Another said as well.

"How could this have happened… the consequences are unfathomable…"

"The vast majority of the 19 bloodlines have been slaughtered… However, fortunately, some of them are still alive…"

The old geezer with a long mustache said and then glanced at Kong. "Do we know the reasons behind such an act…?"

Faced with this, Kong really felt like giving them a disdaining and stupid look.

'No kidding, the reasons? Really now? There are way too many to list them all.' But of course he couldn't say it out loud.

"Not really, but we can certainly infer a few things from this…"

"Do tell us…"

"The reports said that out of the ten thousand members of celestial dragons, there was only a handful that got out alive and from each family at that," Kong said as he looked at his report and continued.

"Moreover and coincidentally or not, the ones left alive are all part of the celestial dragons favorable for harmony, and equality with the masses… that is to say the minority and last good peop-… cough…I mean, this is the gist of it…" Kong stayed his tongue noticing the old geezers giving him silent stares.

"So, that means that the enemy favors the Union party?"

"No, that's not necessarily the case…" Kong shook his head.

"Hum?"

"After the slaughter, the reports indicate that some members of the union were also found dead. Following the good and bad logic though, it is easy to deduce that they weren't actually for the union and were simply playing around. All these celestial dragons have at one time been seen giving way to their impulses in public…"

"The enemy can see through people's thoughts?" The elder holding a katana pointed and then asked in a worried tone. "But doesn't that mean that this person knows about the national treasure?"

Kong then replied with a gloomy tone. "Most probably… but…"

"...?"

"This incident doesn't seem to be from the coveting of the treasure but more like… umm, a vengeance?" Kong said with an uncertain expression.

"Uh-huh, and what makes you think that?"

"Well, the attack was targeted on the celestial dragons only, as no other beings were hurt be it the guards, the officials, the slaves, or the cattle… and also…" Kong then added.

"Given that stranger's power, he could have easily stolen it and made use of it anytime…"

"What…?" The five elders were very confused about that.

"Ryokugyu fought with him…"

"What? That inactive person? He made a move?" The elder with freckles on his face blurted out and looked at his fellow elders.

"How strange, we left him off the hook for a year now, and he didn't bother to move as we ordered but now he did? And what was the result of it?"

"He didn't go into details..." Kong read the report with a very conflicted expression and then said with difficulty. " And he… personally wrote a few words down…"

"Which are?"

"{Don't bother fighting him, only death await you…}"

"Apparently …there was… hardly any fight…"

"..." All the people in the room including Kong sucked a deep breath in.

Ryokugyu… the newly appointed Admiral… he was without the shadow of a doubt a guy who knew how to fight, clearly standing very high in this world's food chain.

And this is the reason the confusion and worry were present on all their faces.

He was very arrogant, selfish, and most of all an exceptional lazy ass.

But the one truth was that he was never a coward.

And yet, here he was acting cowardly?

"This is nonsense!" One of the elders was offended by this.

"I agree, what kind of nonsense is this, no matter how lazy he is, he cannot just spout out such words carelessly…" Another elder calmly said after recovering from the shock.

"We cannot just give in to this stranger just like that, we don't even know who he is, what he wants, and if he's truly such a powerful existence… it could be a trick for all we know…" The long-bearded elder said, clearly not accepting such an outcome.

"Indeed, it could be just a trick-...!?"

RUMBLE ...….!!!!

...!????

Before the elder with a katana could end his words, a malevolent and oppressing aura suddenly surged and came crashing down as if the four Blue Seas were abruptly released upon them. It wasn't necessarily targeted at them, it was covering and encompassing the entirety of Mary Geoise.

"Wh- what is that?!"

"It's…" Kong had a look of realization. "It's the same presence from that night!"

"Wha-? He came back?! Why?!"

"I don't know!" Kong said and rushed outside.

Bam!

Did Kong slam open the great and big door of the house? Mansion? Or the palace they were in, and as he did so, he immediately followed the direction and flow of this overwhelming presence, he wanted to see for himself just how incredible this person was…

But, as his eyes landed on him, he stiffened on the spot.

The same black-clothed person from that night, corresponding to every detail of the report. Black clothes, spiky black hair, a white cracked mask with strange symbols inscribed on it, and lastly a pinky glow that would normally invite mockery and ridicule from the masses.

The elders didn't take too long to come out too, because curiosity can kill the cat…

The guy was simply standing up in the air and overviewing what was below him with a deadly calm demeanor but…

This simple passivity of him told everything they had to know… Their previous thoughts resurfaced in their minds.

It could be a trick?

It got to be a trick right?

No, it was not.

As the saying goes, idiots only know death when it faces it head-on…

Watching him from afar, they knew, all their assumptions were true nonsense and stupidity.

Tricks?

To fool them?

What for?

There was no point in tricking them if he could simply butcher them like cattle anytime he wanted.

Does he covet their national treasure?

Would such a supreme being covet their belonging? Idiocy…

"Oh, God…" After recovering from their primary shock, they all started to sweat profusely.

Survival of the fittest. They were people with years of experience in their bags, and this being so, knowing their limits and evaluating the person before them was a must to live on.

There was a limit to what human power could reach no matter what, he was clearly beyond that said limit.

And, heck… even their Majesty probably couldn't stand up to this person.

They didn't know how well the word God suited this person.

…

…

Meanwhile, Black was as seen by the elders, Kong, simply standing calmly in the air, deep in thoughts.

Of course, the elders and Kong weren't the only ones who had spotted Black at his arrival. A lot more were observing him from afar, whether they were a group of white-clothed people or even someone hiding behind the curtain deep inside its palace.

But, how could they possibly hide from his eyes and his divine senses? Unlike yesterday night, his soul and his awareness were now clearly a lot more refined as compared to when he awakened.

He was now clearly aware of what he was doing and felt that he could even refuse to comply with the orders if he wanted to, however, he didn't feel like doing it.

He felt like Edam's orders were a bit more profound than just helping the people that were enslaved, it was about comprehending the humans. Not to accept their ways, but to simply know why? The intricate concepts of good and evil are a mystery to even the Gods, and his former self thought he had deciphered its secrets.

As his pink-colored eyes landed on the people beneath him, he could see them stiffened on the spot in fear and worry at his sight. Their malevolence and all negative thoughts were easily seen through by him.

As Black pondered over various things, Kong, being the chief in command obviously had to establish some communication with this stranger.

"Sir, I am Kong, the Chief in command here, and the one to communicate with you, could I ask for your identity and the reasons for your visit?" Kong looked up as Black was still standing in the air at 500 meters high and away.

However, his question only earned him a casual and simple but frightening glance from Black whose eyes darted toward him.

"..."

"..." Faced with this, Kong didn't piss himself off. He was a man who had surpassed the fear of death a very long time ago.

"Yesterday night, you attacked us for no apparent reason, did we offend you somehow?"

"..." Black stayed silent for a full minute and just as Long was about to ask another question, Black replied.

"...Today, I will take back all the humans known as slaves to you with me…" His emotionless voice sounded out quietly but clearly.

"What-?" Kong didn't really expect him to reply, to begin with. "Can I know the reasons?"

Black glanced at him, making him skip a beat out of fear, and replied. "Those are the orders…"

*Gulp*

Not just Kong, but anyone with sufficient abilities that could hear these words either gulped or sucked in a deep breath of fresh air.

Even someone like this was being ordered around? What the heck…

"Gulp, all-, all the slaves? but-..." Kong wanted to argue a bit but…

"Your attempts at negotiating are futile human…" Black cut in heartlessly.

'Human?

"...Beside…" Black then turned back toward the capital and added in the next instant.

"...We are already done…" As his words dropped, the people observing him saw to their shock and surprise multiple clones of Black suddenly appearing in the blink of an eye, quickly amounting to a hundred clones.

And behind each clone, one to five slaves could be seen standing in the air with the help of a floating disk of solidified ki while they shivered in fear and worry.

After years of being played with as toys, some of the slaves had dead eyes not caring about their life or death. While some still had some will to live.

Some others had even refused Black's help in fear of the celestial dragon's retaliation.

However, Black at no point in time heard that they had a choice and could refuse his help from Edam.

…

Meanwhile, in Hell…
