"What are you wearing?" I ask as I look at him from head to foot. He seems more relaxed now compared to his tense expression moments ago. However, I couldn't help myself but laugh at what he's wearing.
"Why? What's wrong with my outfit?" he asks while checking his clothes.
"You are wearing a pajama with Barney prints. And, it's rainbow color," I comment as I laugh.
"It's comfortable!" he shrugs.
"Hmmmm.... odd!" I simply say.
Then, I notice that he isn't wearing his ring, so I ask, "Where's your ring?"
"I am not sure!"
"Find it!"
"What? You said that it's bugged. Why do you want me to find it? Tsk!"
"To avoid suspicion. Go. Find it and wear it!"
He goes back to his bathroom and without a minute, he comes back with his ring on his finger.
"Where's Rob?" he asks.
"No idea. He should be here by now. I wonder where he might be!" I say while dialing my phone.
I toss him the car key after ending my call with Rob.
"He's not coming?"
I nod. "He needs to fix things," I reply.
"Ah... hop in then!" he says while opening the car door.
"Turn on the stereo. I wanna listen to some music!" I command as I strap my seatbelt.
"Yes. Your Highness!" he answers as he presses the button.
"I close my eyes as soon as he starts driving, accompanied by the drum beats from the intro of 'Ghost Love Score' by Nightwish.
"Hmmmm. Why do you love listening to these kinds of music? They're kinda noisy," he asks out of curiosity.
"You mean~ symphonic metal music?"
He nods.
"Well... I judge songs through their musicality. Most songs nowadays are pure trash! The lyrics are trash and the musical instruments are pure crap," I reply. He chuckles.
"So, you're a song critique now, huh?"
"Maybe, it's just your opinion coz of the generation gap!" he teases. I raise my brow at him before punching his arm.
"Hey, I am driving!" he yells. I stop when I realize that there are some cars in front of us.
"Sorry~" I apologize.
"Hmmmm... this is good stuff!" he comments at the song.
"Told you so!" I exclaim.
We drive for about five minutes until we arrive at the mansion.
"They're here!" Leo shouts as we enter.
"Where's your father?" I ask Ron who shrugs his shoulders.
"Useless child!"
"Whoa! Aunty, I've just arrived here!" Ron exclaims.
"Dad is in Jay's room," Ben replies. Jason and I exchange a look.
"Jay hasn't come out of his room since he found out about the incident!" Mon says.
"I see!" I say.
"Aren't you gonna go up and talk to him?" Jason asks me as I sit on the sofa.
"No need. Rob is there. Let them have a father and son moment!"
"Anyway... nice outfit uncle!"
The lords tease and laugh while commenting at his Barney clothes. Their room is filled with laughter as Jason hits them with throw pillows.
"That's enough, boys!" I yell when they start playing like children, running, punching, and screaming. They are all panting as they dive and sit on the sofa.
"Is that how you cope with your lives without the ladies around?" I ask.
"Better than throwing punches and bruising each other!" Leo replies. Then, they all look at Ben, who stands up and walks away.
"What's with him?" Jason asks as he looks at the lords' mischievous smiles.
"He and Letizia~"
"I can hear you! Damn! You open that mouth again... you'll regret it!" Ben roars from the kitchen. They chuckle at his reaction. I just shake my head.
In Jay's room...
"You love her that much, huh?" Rob utters while Jay lies on his stomach with his face away from his father.
He remains quiet.
"You must be. You won't be killing yourself here, drinking, if you don't. You didn't even touch your food!" his father continues.
"Dad... enough. Please..." Jay replies in a soft voice.
"Jay Harrison! Get up and look at me!" Rob yells as he removes the pillow Jay used to cover his head.
"Eish! What do you want?!" he says irritatedly while facing his dad.
"Do really wanna completely ruin yourself because of her?"
He sobs.
"Son, I understand your pain. I've been through it many times, but I didn't let it crumble my life!"
"I trusted her, dad! And I loved her--- really loved her! What am I suppose to do now?"
My brother sighs. Then, he holds his son's shoulders and says, "Don't beat yourself too hard. You must get back on your feet. How about a gap year? You can pursue anything you want to refresh your mind!"
"I don't wanna delay my graduation."
"Then, focus on your studies. Make yourself busy."
"I am already busy with my studies!"
"What do you want then? Tell me."
He thinks for a moment.
"Dad... can I ask a favor?"
"Depends on what you're gonna ask."
"Ah... can I have the plane for two days?"
"No! What are you planning to do?"
"Don't worry, dad. I don't have any intentions ending my miserable life!"
Rob looks at him in doubt. Jay forces a smile.
Jay is well aware that their dad is the most skeptic person among the Spencer siblings, so he is forced to say the truth.
"I wanna visit my friend in Tokyo!"
"Hmmmm..."
"Dad... please! If you want me to feel better~"
"Fine!"
"Really?!"
"Under one condition!"
"Whatever it is!"
"Your brother will fly the plane, not you!"
"Seriously?! Dad! I wanna go there to relax. If Ben tags along, I am sure all of them will. Dad, please."
"Take it or leave, Jay Harrison!"
"Eish! Fine!" he grunts. Rob smiles.
"The plane will be ready by midnight!" he says before leaving Jay to pack.
As soon as Rob comes into the living room, the lords begin throwing questions at him.
"How's he?"
"Is he still alive?"
"Did you talk about her?"
"What did he say?"
Rob raises his hands with a smile on his face.
"He'll be fine."
There is an expression of relief.
"Where's Ben? I need to talk to him!" he asks.
"I'm here, dad. What's wrong?" he says, emerging from the dining room door with a glass of iced water.
"Ah... I want you to fly to Tokyo with your brother---- tonight!"
"What?!"
"Tokyo! Why do I have to fly to Tokyo?!"
"If you don't want to come, DON'T!" Jay yells. We all watch him descend the stairs with small luggage and a carry on bag.
"Oh my god! Tell me I am not dreaming," Mon says, rubbing his eyes in disbelief. Leo punches him. He shouts.
"Do it for your brother, please!" Rob whispers at Ben. He sighs.
"Okay. Boys, let's pack our things. You're coming, too, uncle!" Ben exclaims.
They cheer.
"Tokyo, here we come!"
