Here's to a Great Start!

"..Do ya think he's awake yet Blue..?" a young boy dressed primarily in red exclaimed albeit he tried to stay quiet and the other boy dressed in blue responded, "Well if he hasn't then he has now loser!" as they were about to argue, a high pitched female voice yelled at them.

"Blue and Red, stop being so loud! Go in and get Adam ready for Prof. Oak." Both turned meek as they entered my room "How's it going with Leaf, Blue? Going to confess yet?" I stated straightforwardly as Blue became more cautious and stared at the door he just entered from.

"Idiot! I told you that in secret and now Red knows! Hopefully Leaf didn't hear anything.." I looked at Blue with a smirk and a glint in my eye but looking at Red he seemed to not have registered the information I blurted out.

"Well you don't have to worry about Red but it's not like it's a secret, it's just that you, Red, and Leaf are denser than Mt. Silver." It became dead silent in my house and even the chirping Pidgey's weren't heard until heavy footsteps was heard outside my door and I opened the window in my room to escape from the future beating.

"Later boys tell me about your torture later, I'll be at your dad's place, Blue!" As I hurriedly escaped from my own house two blurs were running towards me, a pink and black blur. Both crashed onto me and I got back up as it was an everyday occurrence.

"Espeon relax and you too Umbreon. You know I would never leave you behind to be sacrificed to Leaf." I chuckled at my response 'Well two less obstacles for me but she'll restrain herself in front of the professor, at least a little.'

I then began to slow my pace towards Professor Oak's lab until I heard heavy steps behind me and I quickened my last few steps into the lab but was caught by two zombi- I mean Red and Blue with black eyes. "Damn it bastards! I didn't do anything to you, you were just too slow!"

Ten minutes passed as Red, Blue, Leaf, and I appeared inside Professor Oak's Inner Laboratory with Professor Oak following us wearing his khaki pants and a metallic blue shirt which were worn under a clean white lab coat. "Haha you guys messed with Leaf again right?" He obviously saw our conditions, I had a black eye, disheveled hair, and my shirt collar was ripped.

"You have our starters for us Professor?" I asked exhausted and he replied "Of course! I have a Charmander for Red, Squirtle for Blue, Bulbasaur for Leaf, and an Elekid for you!" I asked a question after I received Elekid's Ultra Ball.

"By the way, why are we given Pokemon instead of catching our first Pokemon like you tell other Trainee's?" I questioned.

"Well because you are inhabitants of Pallet Town!" Professor Oak exclaimed happily but I felt suspicious and I whispered to our group "You guys think this is a bit weird? This seems like he's buttering us up, he might ask us to do something.."

Red and Leaf answered optimistically "Well I mean he saved us some trouble so I don't mind. / Professor Oak wouldn't give us that hard of a task! He probably just needs help with the stables again."

Though Blue knew this was already suspicious and replied "Dad trapped us already so let's just get this over with."

He explained the task given to us but it seemed that each of us had a different objective so he further explained the real issue "Unfortunately my aides already have the jobs that I gave to them so I require your assistance in these tasks. Red, I would like for you to catch every Pokemon known to Kanto and then afterwards, the Pokemon of Johto. Blue, I want you to obtain every evolutionary stone and record ecological habitats of the surrounding regions starting with Kanto."

He continued, "Leaf, I would like you to travel to Unova to study the region's history and biology under Professor Cedric Juniper and eventually the other regions. Now lastly, Adam. I would like you to represent me and Kanto in the international U-18 Pokemon League which will be hosted in Hoenn."

Our group was dazed by the vast requests that were asked of us as it required nearly the next seven years to complete our individual tasks. We were also given the option to not accept the given tasks but we all stubbornly declined. Leaf and I were departed to leave a week later while Red and Blue was going to start their task five to six years later.

Pallet Town held a going away party for Leaf and I but we weren't going to depart from the same location as Unova was not on the archipelago with Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh but was located on another continent.

As for Hoenn I would be going by ship, the S.S. Pyro which is owned by Blaine the Head Cinnabar Research Scientist and one of the Regional Guardians of Kanto. Leaf would be going by plane which would depart from Vermilion City.

'I wonder if Blue confessed already.. though I wouldn't be surprised if he chickened out and does it when he meets her next..'

As I went towards the Pallet Town Shore I found Professor Oak waiting with a Dragonair, "Ah, Adam I presume you've finished saying your goodbyes to your mother as well as to Red and Blue too?"

I replied to Professor Oak, "Yes I have and I'm ready to begin my travels to Hoenn, Professor."

Approximately one hour before the meetup, "Son we won't meet for quite a while but we'll be able to talk when you arrive at Hoenn. Look for a wooden box in my bedroom drawer and inside will be a white watch." My father stated but he wasn't present in Pallet Town but away in his home region.

"Yes after you get your father's gift I will present my gift to you as well Adam." My mother spoke afterwards. I walked towards my parents bedroom and found the said wooden box and looked inside to find a sleek platinum watch with a white band that had a blue engraving of a Latios. As I put on the watch I walked towards my mom and the entire case was lifted, showing a imprint of a diamond shape.

"It's a Z-Ring! But it won't be that useful until I get a Z-Crystal and it's only obtainable in Alola." I ran back towards the living room and thanked my father and anxiously awaited my mother's gift.

"Haha I guess you know what gift can be comparable to the Z-Ring, I lived most of my childhood in Sinnoh but I was born in Kalos so here you go." My mother gave me a necklace with a bright blue jewel that was encased in a silver capsule with a snowflake on it, "Whoa, a keystone! Thanks mom!"

As I finished recalling what I got from my parents I stepped onto Professor Oak's Dragonair as it flew us towards Cinnabar Island. When we arrived on Cinnabar Island I encountered a Magby that I wanted to catch as my 'first' Pokemon. I told Professor Oak that he could continue towards Blaine and that I would catch up later.

'Let's do this!' I threw Elekid's Ultra Ball towards Magby's location and initiated a Pokemon battle, "C'mon Elekid use Leer and Meditate, then follow it with an Ice Punch!"

The Magby was dumbfounded by the sudden Elekid and tried to use Ember on it but was interrupted by the Leer. The time taken to recover from that Leer was enough for Elekid's Ice Punch to land on Magby and deal enough damage to make its health in the red.

"Alrighty then, go Pokeball!" I blushed as I threw the Pokeball and Magby was caught inside making the Pokeball toss and turn 3 times until I heard the final click confirming that Magby was caught. "Nice I caught a Magby!"

After the battle I went to the Cinnabar PokeCenter and then arrived at the Cinnabar Laboratory to meet up with Blaine.

"There you are Adam. I presume you've caught that Magby?" Professor Oak asked and I replied "Yep Professor, I'm going to raise both Elekid and Magby to be a great duo Champion level Pokemon."

As I got onto the S.S. Pyro I saw a middle aged man with white hair wearing a clean white lab coat like Professor Oak and standing by him was a Magmar.

"Hey there kiddo, you must be Adam huh? I've battled your folks before and I believe your mother was Catherine and your father was Ikaika?" As Blaine spoke he also started up the ship, he then looked at my keystone and whistled, he then started to talk to Professor Oak for a few minutes and returned back to the Pyro.

I waved at Professor Oak and about an hour into the trip we ran into some wild Tentacruel and Gyarados to which Blaine took care of using his Magmar.

"Wow even at a type disadvantage Magmar is still pretty strong in a battle. What are your training methods, Blaine if you don't mind." I asked him and he replied back with two words "Control and power."

I contemplated the words and released both Elekid and Magby out, "Elekid imagine eletricity running throughout your body towards your hands. Magby use your Ember on passing rocks and make sure to concentrate on making your ember as condensed as you can, I want you to learn Flamethrower as soon as possible."

As I gave Elekid and Magby their training Blaine was watching intensely 'Hmm.. I only gave two words as advice and yet he's already developed a training regime for his Pokemon..'

Both Elekid and Magby finished training but Elekid only did its Thunder Punch training for only an hour before it switched to doing basic punching and kicking movements. However Magby still continued on its Flamethrower training for two more hours, both of my Pokemon trained for hours until the Pyro eventually reached the harbor of Lilycove City.

"Finally we've arrived in Hoenn! What am I supposed to do now Blaine?" As Blaine docked the Pyro he responded "Go to the PokeCenter and tell Samuel that we've arrived in Lilycove City, afterwards you can do what you want. I'll have Magmar send a Fire Blast in the sky to alert you to come back."

After I notified Professor Oak about our arrival I walked west to Route 121 to find some Pokemon but before I did I had noticed a big dojo situated right next to the PokeCenter labeled the 'Poke' Adventurer Association'.

I took about half an hour to travel from Lilycove to Route 121, 'Hmm it's currently 7 pm so maybe I'll be able to find some Pokemon with a lot of potential.' I kept looking around for some Pokemon and found some Poochyena, Mightyena, and Oddish. I caught one of each and found a fairly rare Shiny Duskull wandering around.

"Let's go Elekid! Use Ice Punch." As Ice Punch landed on Duskull, it flew backwards and hit the tree behind its back and was further damaged by inertia.

I threw a Pokeball at the Duskull and caught it after a few seconds and I saw a person approaching from my peripherals.

"Hey there! I saw that you caught a Duskull, would you like to trade with me?" I glanced at the person who shouted at me and I saw a girl in a tight red dress which accentuated her vermilion irises. As she started walking towards me she showed her long pearl legs as she did a slow catwalk towards me which highlighted her thin spaghetti straps on her shoulders and her vermilion heels. "What Pokemon are you going to trade me for this Duskull?"

The girl walked closer towards me and pushed her breasts together and replied "Well can't I exchange something else for it?"

I looked down at her breasts and looked back up and stated "No. I would rather much prefer a Pokemon instead, maybe a ghost type."

The girl looked at me confusingly and back at her breasts apparently looking over her clothes as well and seeing if this situation was really real. "Interesting guy.." she whispered and I looked at her and responded "Is your mind still there? I want to trade Pokemon please." She threw her Pokemon out "Alright.. trade me all your Pokemon then." she asked as she released a Mightyena and Camerupt. "Though I prefer not to hurt sexy girls like you I still very much value my pride and Pokemon mademoiselle, excuse my vulgar language." I looked her in the eyes as I spoke 'Holy shit! She must think I'm pretty suave eh?'

I saw a silhouette in the corner of my eye and jumped backwards "Who's there!?"

A man appeared from the shadows and stated "Hmph, Spectre you still haven't completed this mission? It's merely a new Rookie Trainer who was obviously a Trainee recently, just kill him!"

I was outnumbered two to one..

I released both Elekid and Magby to watch both Spectre's Mightyena and Camerupt while I looked around for any escape routes, I also saw the Fire Blast that Blaine said he would use when it was time to return.

"You will regret trying to involve yourself with me!" the man looked at me and laughed, "Magma Corps fears no one. Spectre, finish him off and return to Gamma Base." the man left as he issued his last standing order.

Spectre grabbed a knife from Arceus knows where and rushed towards me, stabbing towards my stomach to which I jumped backwards to avoid but my torso was still cut resulting in me bleeding. She continued to slash towards my shoulder and continued to cut my torso as I repeatedly tried to dodge them. I countered by trying to disable the hand holding the knife but was unable to get the weapon away due to my clumsiness and inexperience.

"Listen you crazy chick! I get that you're a super secret agent of some organization but you can't hide yourself from me in the future!" I exclaimed but I thought otherwise 'Crap am I going to bleed to death from this chick?'

I saw Blaine rushing towards this area on his Rapidash and Spectre began retreating back to escape him as his presence could be felt hundreds of meters away while his Rapidash could be felt from even further away.

"Adam, you okay? You look pretty messed up though, haha." Blaine looked at my current condition and I got irritated "Damn it old man! Hmph, they better not meet me when I evolve my Elekid and Magby into Electivire and Magmortar!"

Blaine continued laughing and released a Ponyta for me to ride on, though now that I looked more closely both Rapidash and Ponyta seemed to have saddles and girdles equipped on it. "Hey old man what's with the gear on Rapidash and Ponyta?"

"Well Rapidash and Ponyta are registered as my Ride Pokemon so they would have to be equipped with riding gear to assist in traveling or simply being pack mules." as Blaine finished explaining about Ride Pokemon his Rapidash snorted at the words 'pack mules' and we travelled towards Lilycove City arriving in about ten minutes.

Blaine looked more closely at my injuries and threw me a pouch and told me to go to the big dojo near the PokeCenter. I looked at the pouch questioningly while I rode Ponyta towards the dojo.

"Hey kid, what business do you have at the Adventurer Association?" a heavily scarred man questioned me as I was about to approach the entrance of the dojo.

"I'm here to uhh.. well I got roughed up and someone told me to come here." I responded and the man looked over my wounds "Not too bad but pretty rough for someone your age. Alright come in I can bring you to our medical expert, Expert Ferguson."

"Expert Ferguson? Why isn't he called a doctor like the rest in the world?" I asked and he responded as if this question was asked everyday "Doctors are medical experts for humans while people referred to as 'Expert' are people who have excellent knowledge and experience with Pokemon and humans. There are numerous jobs that hold ranks within their parameters, the ranking system starts with [Trainee], [Apprentice], [Novice], [Expert], [Professional], and [Legend]."

"Seems a bit precarious. How do you establish this to every trainer, I doubt most of them are weak or at least aren't just canon fodder." I asked and the man's eyes grew wide.

"Well kid I'm impressed with your result just from what little information I gave you. You see our organization is composed of numerous Elite trainers and two Master trainers. Trainers are divided into rankings of [Trainee], [Rookie], [Novice], [Advanced], [Elite], and [Master]."

He continued speaking while leading me to the Expert, "Most organizations are publicly composed of numerous Elite trainers but usually have only one Master trainer. What makes us stronger is that our Master trainers are both Regional Master trainers and a majority of our Elite trainers are Purple Elite trainers. Starting from [Advanced], trainer rankings are split into further classes. [Advanced] is composed of Copper, Bronze, Iron, Steel, and Titanium; [Elite] is composed of Green, Blue, Orange, and Purple; [Master] is composed of City, Regional, and Continental. Regional Masters are also referred to as Champions."

As he finished talking about the classifications he led me to a mahogany door with the caduceus insignia imprinted on it. I opened the door that showed four rows of beds separated into two halls, two rows of beds faced each other and it was the same in the other hall. Near the door was a couple of offices and stations that were manned by doctors and experts with nurses or novices following their respective jobs.
