50,000 years ago, Hell was destroyed because of too much Foul from the resentment of the souls that later turned to Soul Eaters and devoured everything in their wake, leaving nothing of Hell. The gods above in Heaven, in order to take care of the newly-died souls, created the Afterlife Department comprised of grim reapers. 

Huo Ling was delivering food that day when he met Yi Bing and the guy gave him a warning. When he arrived to the customer's unit, he was killed.

Afterlife Department

Stable World, Lower Heaven, Afterlife Department.

Gu Shi's face is extremely gloomy after he received Yi Bing's and Jin Wu's messages. Shen Sheng has already left, and he doesn't know whether Shen Sheng noticed what happened to the Lower Heaven having their minds all played by the culprit behind the scenes, and that Shen Sheng didn't tell them because their minds control wasn't harmful to their bodies.

It was just that, this resulted to the existence of many Collapsed Worlds, which caused by the delay of them all noticing the abnormalities in these worlds.

Suddenly, the door of his office opened without a warning and Hai Ba appeared.

"Gu Shi! Gu Shi!" Hai Ba called as he panted, catching his breath.

"What?" Gu Shi answered and frowned.

Hai Ba could see that Gu Shi's mood is extremely bad, but he doesn't care about it right now. "San Di returned and is now in the infirmary!" he answered. He is referring to Di San.
