50,000 years ago, Hell was destroyed because of too much Foul from the resentment of the souls that later turned to Soul Eaters and devoured everything in their wake, leaving nothing of Hell. The gods above in Heaven, in order to take care of the newly-died souls, created the Afterlife Department comprised of grim reapers. 

Huo Ling was delivering food that day when he met Yi Bing and the guy gave him a warning. When he arrived to the customer's unit, he was killed.  
Huo Ling: you set up a death flag for me!
Yi Bing: I'm a grim reaper. I'm the flag myself. Let me help you solve the mystery of your death.

"You already know that Liu Lin is the traitor?!" Huo Ling asked after he listened to Yi Bing summarizing everything that happened outside the Rainbow Tower while he was inside.

"Yes." Yang Jie answered while Zhang Jun, Feng Wu and Tang Jiming nodded in affirmation. Yang Jie has already told them about his and Yi Bing's guesses.

"I see." Huo Ling muttered as he ate the snacks that the two couples cooked. "Liu Lin really hid deeply… I don't know what is his reason for betraying the Afterlife Department, but he needed to be stopped." He told them.

They all nodded in agreement and ignored him eating their snacks.

"What did you find inside the Rainbow Tower?" Zhang Jun asked Huo Ling.

Huo Ling looked at him. "Oh. The truth that I am lord Zero." He answered as he sipped his juice drink.
