New friend?

I am Eito Tanaka, My given name means "Prosperous person" or a successfully wealthy man but in my case, I guess not yet, I live in a small house with my cute little sister, Riku Tanaka, our parents live abroad and we have no other relatives here so we have no choice but to live alone, But at least I'm with her, however, I can't take a good care on her, instead she is the one who takes care for me, she cooks, do laundries, taking care of the house, and cleans my room. She maybe happy but, she sacrificed her studying for me because she believes I could be successful than her, I could be lazy or what but I don't want to waste Riku's efforts just to help me reach my goals.

And here is my friend or guess I could call him my best friend, Toshiaki Otosaka, he has a average height like me, always prioritize his looks rather than studying which he was bad at it, I don't have a friend since I was at elementary but one day he ask me if he was handsome enough to make his crush like him but I respond

"Tch... I look better than you, so stop being delusional"

He cries and I apologize to him, I am arrogant before but this guy teach me how to be friends with. Since then, he was always asking me if he looks good and I always agree to what he says, however, I didn't realize that we were always together and talk about a lot of stuffs like Anime, games, movies, and even girls. We were friends until now, and I think that could last forever I guess.

And here I am now, next to the line for lunch and by my side, there's a girl who stares at me like she would kill me, the girl who kick me for a foolish reason earlier.

"Jeez, it's been a long time since I eat at schools lunch... and Toshiaki did not tell me that he had bring a lunch, letting your friend eat alone eh?"

Eito have his lunch at the small table for two persons, hoping Toshiaki will sit with him, but suddenly Emiko appeared at his front to seat with him.

"What's wrong with her?"

"Let me take a seat, can I?"

"Sure... seriously, now I'm sitting with her"

"I'm sorry"

"What?"

"Nothing..."

"Come on say it, you're~"

"I already said it once, and I will not say it twice"

Eito just shut his mouth to avoid Emiko get mad at him again, but, Eito feels like Emiko wants to say something to him as her face turns red.

"Eito..."

"Hmm? What's that?"

As she was about to speak, she inhales deeply like she was about to dive in a pool.

"Could I be your friend?"

Eito was shocked by what her said, he can't hide his face for being surprised.

"Is this for real?!... This lunatic just wants to befriend with me? Or did I just heard wrong but no, I heard it clearly... Oh man, what would I respond? This is the first time being asked by a girl to be her friend, or maybe, she was taking me off guard then kicks me again? No no, as if she would do this in front of many students... Man what would I do, I guess I have to answer now"

Eito inhales to respond to Emiko

"YES!!!"

Eito was so nervous that he shouted his answer that everyone in the lunch place could heard him.

"You little idiot"

Emiko turns away and ran to the hallway, Eito was so embarrassed that he just eats his lunch as if nothing happened.

"Why she have to be like that? There's something strange with her... I wonder why"
