The Great Council of Kauven

The strategy included focusing the main brunt of the attack at the gorge where the majority of the beasts will be forced to enter. There are also three other battle fronts which will have a division of adventurers designated to it. The first one is the Wind raider Adventurers who will focus on the air combat aspect of the subjugation. There are Pterodactyls, Pteranodons, and other flying beasts that need to be kept from getting closer to the city.

The second group is the Forest enforcement that are primarily comprised of Earth adventurers. They are located to the left side of the gorge and whose main objective it to keep the beasts from entering Forlorn Forest and reaching the nearby villages and the road to the Capital.

The third one is to the right of the gorge manned by mostly water adventurers and the novice grants. Their job is to keep the monsters from crossing the river and help funnel the beasts back into the gorge. There is also the reinforcement adventurers who are currently marching here from the city. They will be arriving sometime midday. A small portion of the defense force is designated to stay in the city to maintain the Dome shield. The citizens have also been getting ready to defend the city since most of them are also blessed and granted individuals.

Hunter Maze has always been considered physically strong since he was born. His Earth element has allowed him to buff his physical strength even more. When he was granted, his blessing has evolved into a perfect Earth element. This allowed him to control all aspects of Earth and have access to all Earth spells. His prowess in battle is only second to Wentlas. Nowadays, he is the guild master of Kauven and has decidedly grown more mellow in contrast to his more rash youth. Though, make no mistake, he is still a force to be reckoned with. This is why he is currently in charge of the second division located in the forest.

While the other adventurers are focused on the different monsters running amok, his job is to contend with the more powerful and burlier beasts. After having effortlessly killed three magician beasts, a pair of giant orcs catch his eye. Using Earth gauntlets, he punches the male giant orc straight in the face. The orc stumbles back but does not show any hesitation. Before he could recover, Hunter uses Rock drill to stab the orc in his stomach but the orc's skin is tough. The drill manages to penetrate but not bifurcate.

The female giant orc swings her arm clumsily to try and swat Hunter. He was ready for this and uses Earth wall as a shield to keep the female orc from hitting him. Hunter then uses Earth burial, which swallows both giant orcs along with the 20 or so foot soldier orcs into the ground. They can be heard viciously pounding and trying to escape but after a couple of seconds all movement and noise stops.

"You shall serve as good fodder for the trees in this forest!" says Hunter as he moves on to the next giant monster he sees.

The flying division is having a much tougher time. Though there are significantly fewer flying beasts, the fact that they can maneuver and have much more room to spread out makes the subjugation harder. The Wind powered adventurers are accompanied by a handful of Ice element users. Ice is an excellent element to use in long range attacks. Most Ice attacks are also AOE which allows great efficiency in a terrain with little to no obstruction. In groups of two and three they hunt the Pterodactyls and Pteranodons that have spread across the sky. The winged beasts are easily foiled by Wind slice that attacks their wings. While, the Ice users are spamming the flying dinosaurs with Ice daggers that perforate their bodies. However, more and more beasts are joining the fray and the limited number of adventurers are overwhelmed quickly. A group of Pteranodons rips a Wind element user into pieces, then another. Some of the adventurers have landed to gain cover from the assault.

A woman of tall stature can be seen walking up to this horrible scene. She is covered in light chainmail and what can only be described as a white ninja outfit. In her back are two quivers that are not filled with arrows, but what looks like very pointed metal cones. Hundreds of them are stacked neatly inside the circular encasement of the quiver. She casts a skill called Wind Annihilation. The tiny metal cones start floating and reveal themselves to actually be the tip of Wind arrows. They leave her quiver and home in on all the flying monsters. As it rips a hole in one it finds another monster. This does not stop until all the flying enemies are gone. The last pterodactyl falls from the sky about an hour later. Feather Wisp puts her hood down as the last of the metallic cones return to the quivers on her back. She moves to help the wounded Air raiders.
