The Great Council of Kauven (part 2)

The gorge is the hotbed of all the action. A group of Council members and City Elders are taking turns using highly destructive attacks to thin out the monster herd. Most prominent of the group are Wentlas, the head druid and battle commander using Light Blast and the Fire Mage also known as the Great Smithy, Plasma Break using Fire Canon. The Great Healer of Kauven, Makro was initially also with them but as more adventurers are injured, he was called back to the Medic Tents. As the monsters are taking longer and longer to fill up the gorge, Plasma decides to enter the fray at the mouth of the bottleneck. She casts her Fire boosters and flies to where there is the greatest screaming and shouting. The source of the sound are the beasts who have started fighting amongst themselves. Plasma lands on a rock and takes out the two handles that protrude from her back. They reveal a double whip. Once she casts the spell, Fire whip, the whips are alit with fire. She runs towards a group of lizard men. The monsters are trapped and have nowhere to go. She continues her barrage Fire whipping the monsters trying to attack her. At the same time, she also casts Fire fall and literal tongues of fire drop from the sky like giant rain slowly burning the beasts to death. Howls and screeches of pain can be heard everywhere. But with nowhere to go, they helplessly died in place.

There were no more beasts heading his way. Gil Pelage using his Water sensing skills quickly checks where the most vicious battles were still happening. He has used so many Water skills to kill the enemy that the water around him has just turned deep red from all the dead beasts. He senses a battle further down the bend. He jumps into the river and creates a Water wave that he rides to the location of the raging battle. He sees Koi protecting a handful of new grants from some bloodied goblins. As his disciple, he knew that Koi will be able to handle such weaklings. He continues to the source of the magical explosions he sensed. What he sees is a wave of beasts overwhelming 5 young adventurers. A young woman had just killed a Goblin Lord and had exhausted her mana casting a giant Fire vortex. Gil had just arrived in time to catch the girl with white hair before she collapsed. Gil casts a Water wall 40 meters high and easily 200 meters long on the other side of the river bank which keeps the beasts at bay. He puts the Althea next to her sleeping friends. He shouts Water Ball and the wall of water starts enclosing and trapping all the beasts within it. Hundreds of beasts drown in the giant Water ball 100 feet tall. Bryce tries to use Dark Flicker but he too had collapsed from the fatigue. Gil uses a Water spell to carry the boy over to his friends.

With less adventurers fighting on the field, the number of injured keeps increasing. The handful of medic tents are now overrun with bloody bodies. Mistress Juliette and a slew of Light mage healers are doing their best to triage the situation. More adventurers enter the camp but there is no more room for them so they are laid outside until more room can be vacated. On top of this, some beasts have broken through and are now attacking the people outside. This was the scene that Makro arrives to. Using his magic staff, he immediately casts Holy ground, a magic that allows friends to enter and enemies to be repelled out. A handful of monsters were forcefully repelled. Some even dying from the sheer force of being thrown. A nearby aid runs up to him informing him that there are four people who are in need of immediate medical attention. He nods and immediately cast Healing rain, an S rank healing spell capable of saving those who are on the brink of death. Droplets of Light fall and heal the injured, even those who were moments away from dying. The beasts outside the Holy ground is still trying to penetrate the defense but to no avail. Adventurer Mild Loam looks at the Head Healer completely amazed at how powerful he is. The time of Healing is dependent on the severity of the damage. To be able to heal this many near death people in moments while also maintaining Holy ground is outside the bounds of what can be considered as human. Makro can now be seen walking outside the confines of Holy ground killing the beasts outside.
