Tsuki looked around the table. Kessho glared at Itai. Tamachi was staring blankly at the card in front of him. Hen was about to cry. Itai was biting the nail of his pointer finger. Sakasu looked at the speaker for the intercom. Everyone was nervous. This was a risky game to play. "One...two...three!" Sakasu bravely flipped over a card.
She jumped up, "Yes!"
She had drawn a "You live" card.
Tamachi drew a card too, hoping he would get the same luck. His eyes widened, "item.." he stated.
Tsuki looked at Tamachi and then back at a card to the left of her. She drew it. "You live. Huh...I expected to die."
Kessho gained his confidence and pulled a card. He drew a "You live" card. "Phew.."
Hen drew a card. "You...*sniff*..die?"
Kessho looked at her. "Are you being serious?"
She nodded and displayed a card that read; "you die".
The lights went out and they heard a scream. When they turned back on, she was gone. Itai hesitated and yelled, "This isn't funny! Why are you doing this?!"
The intercom turned on—"hahahahaha! Because it's fun. Not funny, but fun."
The cards on the table shuffled. "Now...Itai, draw a card. Because you spoke up, there's only one "You live card left"! Hahahahaha! Good luck!"
They all looked at him. Itai confidently drew a card and it said "item". "You may have said there's only one "You live" card left, but that doesn't mean there's not an "item" card left." Itai stated.
Jace walked out of the shadowy corner, clapping and smiling. "You're smarter than you look, Itai. But there's a chance you get a poison vile."
Itai looked at the dark oak floor boards. "Maybe so...but I have hope. An enlightening hope that your kind can never even think of."
Jace walked back into the He shadows and disappeared again. The door across from them opened. The room looked like a doctors office—but bloody and scarier. They walked in and gasped. There were the bodies of Akumu and Hen. They were bloody with multiple scars and their eyes were closed. The intercom came on for the fourth time—"hahahahaha! To let these two live, you will have to operate on them. If you fail, they die! Hahahahaha! If you don't fail however...they will live and will be given a chance to kill the remaining four of you in the finals. You have the choice to operate or not. Like always, good luck!"
Tsuki stepped up onto the platform next to the bed their bodies lay on. "I think we should try and if we don't succeed, then we don't."
Kessho looked at her in disagreement. "Are you crazy?! More competition, the more possibility of being killed!"
Itai walked over to Tsuki and put his hand on her shoulder. "Tsuki...for once, Kessho is right."
Tamachi stepped over to Hen's hospital bed and looked back at them again. "I think we should pick one to operate on. Majority rules."
"Ok. Raise your hand for Hen."
She looked around and,out of the five out of them, only two raised their hands.
Tamachi looked at Sasaku, "I think we'll be operating on Akumu."
Tsuki walked over to Akumu's bed, "Yeah, majority rules.."
The intercom turned on—"just to make this more interesting...only Tsuki and Itai can operate. The others can't give hints, help in anyway, or they'll be executed. Hahahahaha! The game keeps getting better!"
Tsuki and Itai looked at each other while the intercom was laughing. Jace walked in smiling. "Was this your card?" He said, holding up a card that had a broken heart on it and the words; "heart procedures".
He dropped the card and then walked into the shadows of the corner and disappeared as he always did. Tsuki turned to Itai, "any experience?"
