What’s behind lucky door number 7?

The group of teens searched for a door that they trusted, for if they picked the wrong one, they would be deceased. "So this is it...my death. I always thought it would be somewhere less depressing." Sakasu mumbled.

Near the back of the hall, where the rows of doors ended, Itai was counting his fingers. He whispered, "didn't they say there was eight of us?"

He looked around and counted only seven. He started shaking and soon felt adrenaline kicking in.

Jace was standing there and smiling. Kessho glared at him and leaned over to Tsuki, "Hey, Tsuki was your name, right?"

Tsuki raised an eyebrow. "I wouldn't get too friendly, doosh."

Kessho lowered his eyebrows to show an expression of anger. "Call me what you want, I don't care. But I get some bad vibes from that butler. What do you think?"

"What I think? I get bad vibes from this whole game. Now go away, I don't want to get executed for you making it look like we're teaming up."

Kessho walked away and felt annoyed.

Jace stepped up unto a windowsill. "Five seconds."

They all rushed into a door, Tsuki with Itai, Sakasu with Tamachi, Akumu alone, and Kessho holding the passed out girl, Hen. Akumu screamed and then went silent. "You may all come out now." Jace stated.

The group walked out and had serious expressions on their faces.

Tamachi watched Jace jump off of the windowsill. "What happened to that girl?" He asked with caution.

Jace turned to him with a smile. "Akumu? She's either dead or didn't hear us."

Itai gulped. "Good thing I picked room number 8, one more over and I would've died like Akumu." He mumbled.

There was banging on door number 7. "Gah!" Hen woke up.

Kessho glared at her. "Well it took you long enough. I didn't exactly enjoy carrying a girl all the way to door number 10."

Hen looked around the room and was confused. Jace happily smiled. "Well at least you lived."

Tamachi looked over to Itai. "Wasn't that the door you saw Akumu walk into?"

Itai got startled. "Well, ummm, yes in fact.."

Sakasu walked over to door number 7 and opened it. It was empty. "Where's Akumu?" Tsuki asked.

Kessho looked at Itai and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "You were in the room next to Akumu! Did you sneak in and kill her?!"

Itai's eyes filled with tears, "What do you mean? I wouldn't kill someone! I'm already scared enough!"

He let Itai down, "True."

Jace turned to Kessho. "You can still kill Itai if you want. That's not against the rules you know.."

Itai turned back to Jace with his eyes widened with fear. "Please no."

Kessho narrowed his eyes at Jace. "I don't like you."

Jace smiled. "I don't have any regards for you either. In fact, I would enjoy seeing your slow torture."

Kessho shivered. Tamachi looked at Jace. "Cut it out, would you? We could all team up and kill you, you know."

The lights turned out and they heard a grunt. They turned back on and Jace had Tamachi in an arm bar and was going to break his arm if he pushed down any harder. "Are you sure, beauty?"

Tamachi grunted again as Jace pushed a little bit harder into the arm bar. "Stop, dammit."

The lights turned back off and then on and Jace was in his original place, but Tamachi was on the floor. Kessho helped him up. Then, a door at the end of the hall opened. "That's your next challenge. Walk through and I can explain what you need to do."

They nodded and walked in. The door tightly shut and then locked behind them. They were displayed with a slightly different room. The differences were; there was only one door, no paintings, there was now a table with psychic reading cards, and the butler was gone. The intercom came on —"Do you know how psychic cards are normally phony bologna? These ones will decide your fate; whether you live or die. Hahahahaha! They will also give you one chance only to get a free item. But here's the twist—the item is either a vile to help with healing...haha!..or it's poison!"

They all looked at each other. The table was circular so they could all fit around it easily. The intercom shouted again —"like always, good luck!"
