708 B.C - Midgard: Southern Ireland

Asera observed her surroundings. She was in a small clearing inside of a forest. Asera's main goal in coming to Midgard was to find the mentor that she had read about. She was supposedly in a place called the Land of Shadows, of which the gate was in Northern Ireland, so that's where the young goddess decided to go.

Now though, she had her power unsealed, so she might be able to figure out how to access it on her journey to the Queen of the haunted land. Then again, she had no idea what her power was, she just knew it apparently was powerful and dangerous enough for her father to seal it.

Asera set down her bag, searching through it and retrieving the spear she had stored in there. She looked upon the spear, it was rather simple. It had a wooden handle and simple steel blade.

She placed the bag on her back and decided to head north, the only direction she had being that the Land of Shadows being towards the north.

706 B.C - Midgard: Northern Ireland

Asera could be seen, sitting in a tent, practicing conjuration magic. She had been surviving in Midgard for the past few years and had long since perfected her control of magic.

Therefore, the young goddess had been training in the arts that she had said she would. She had practiced and nearly mastered all of the branches of magic besides Runes and Conjuration.

She had rather amazing talent for magic, yet her talent for the spear was slightly worse than it, so she had put extra training into that, hoping to be ready for when she began her training with Scáthach.

Asera placed her book inside her bag that was now covered in dirt and grime. She stood, grabbing her spear that was resting next to a tree and continued her journey, leaving the tent there, only for it to fade in a green light, showing it had been an illusion.

706 B.C - Land of Shadows: Entrance

Asera looked around, finding purple ground, barren trees, and a castle in the distance. The young master mage smiled to herself, knowing that her long journey for her master was near completion.

The goddess began jogging towards the castle, throwing a conjured sword at an undead every now and then.

Asera stood before the steps to the castle entrance, smile on her face. She would finally be able to get a proper master, someone who could push her limits and break them time and time again.

So, she continued up only for her mind to drift slightly into the future, something she had figured out how to do over the years, and saw a spear rushing towards her.

Asera pulled out her own spear, waiting for the spear to be thrown. Then, like a flash of lightning, a red spear was thrown at her, only for Asera to parry.

A beautiful woman stood before Asera. She had long purple hair with red eyes. She was wearing a full body outfit that showed her well-endowed features with metallic shoulder pads.

Asera smiled, knowing this must be Scáthach, the one she wished to teach her.

Scáthach rushed towards Asera, ready to strike while Asera turned invisible and appeared behind Scáthach, trying to strike.

Scáthach felt her instincts scream at her, so she stopped her rush and focused on defending when a plain looking spear made of iron tried to strike her.

She used her superior speed and strength to not only block the attack, but kick Asera up the stairs.

Asera rolled, a step forcing her into a complete stop before she shakily got up, not used to being attacked with such an amazing amount of power.

Asera through her spear towards Scáthach and turned invisible once more. Scáthach easily parried the attack, only for four spears to rush at her from the cardinal directions.

Scáthach skillfully block each an every spear, not a single movement wasted, then, she grabbed the spear thrown from the north and threw it at the still invisible Asera.

Asera widened her eyes slightly in shock, before barely dodging the spear.

Neither party had managed to land a hit on the other one, yet Asera was trying her hardest while Scáthach seemed to only be barely interested in the fight.

Scáthach threw her red spear at Asera, the spear blurring from speed. Asera barely managed to make a shield of an emerald green energy before it struck.

The spear easily pierced Asera's rushed shield and struck the girl in the shoulder.

"Admirable effort, not enough to be taught by me though." Scáthach began walking towards the downed Asera when she faded into a green light.

Scáthach raised her eyebrow in intrigued before slightly moving to the left, dodging the still wounded Asera's strike.

Asera was now in possession of Scáthach's spear, and was now wielding the red spear.

Then, Asera rushed at Scáthach, ready to prove herself worthy of being taught.

Asera struck, parried, and dodged, barely any of her attacks fazing the gorgeous woman.

The two jumped backwards, exiting their clash.

Asera was clearly winded, breathing heavily and slouching slightly, something she hadn't done in years.

Scáthach on the other hand, was still standing straight, not at all appearing tired. Then, the master spearwoman chuckled a bit. At first she simply thought Asera was a spearwoman with large talent, but no drive.

Yet, when she saw that Asera continued to fight, wounded as she may be, just trying to earn her approval, she realized she was wrong.

"Very well, I will teach you." Scáthach said, soft smile on her face.

Asera's face however, lit up. She was extremely happy, she was getting the training she had wanted for years, and her father had yet to retrieve her.
