Chapter 9

"sigh…"

it's been five minutes since I landed on Earth, and it's been five minutes I have been sighing.

'Where are my chicken nuggets? my French fries? My jumbo all-toppings pizza?!'

Looking at the 'New York' I teleported into, and the newspaper at my feet, I sighed again.

"Sigh…"

It was 1920. With no internet or 'good' food. I then slapped my self on the cheeks to dispel my depressed state.

'Alright, time to think about my situation. I have knowledge of the future and advanced technologies, so money is not going to be a problem. On another hand, my power takes a long time to grow and won't have any explosive growth unless I find a way to go somewhere like the negative zone. Since I'm so far in the past, it means that there are no real superheroes, developed technology or large scales agencies like S.H.I.E.L.D yet.'

I recast the invisibility spell I had on me while walking and musing to myself.

'I don't really want to join anyone since I like being free, so I'll have to be my own boss. I know that there are quite a few talented guys that came from Earth that could be useful to have. Alfred, use my memory to build a list of the most possible members I could recruit.'

(AN: Alright guys, leave your suggestions for potential members here. I already have a rough idea in mind but don't want to miss any good find you may have. They can be mutants, scientists, future protagonists, even aliens. PS. they can be from the future since the members will be recruited gradually as the timeline advance and not in one shot haha.)

'Since Earth will be my main base in the future, I'll have to be in complete control of this stage. Hehe, I guess I could be a 'power in the shadow-type'.'

"First thing is capital then…"

/////

It was quite easy to get a 'loan' that 'never existed' from a few banks using wide-scale genjutsu. I also 'received' the shares of many shareholders in the oil sector. The capital was enough to launch the Dawn corporation which grew to a wide scale in 5 years by constantly offering 'cutting edge' technology of that time in various sectors such as automobile, energy and pharmaceutical amongst others.

I was now Alexander Dawnstar, a young SINGLE handsome billionaire. Man, I didn't expect to see a whole group of Sakura-level fangirls crowding around me whenever I left the company building. I think now I understand better why Minato developed his Hiraishin now…

On a side note, I had sole ownership of the corporation since the whole board of 'directors' was made up by me, myself and I. Transfigured Clones made by Prana were really useful in that regard.

My current appearance was a modified version of myself which would act as my father from whom I will eventually 'inherit' the legacy to quell any suspicions about why I'm not ageing. This was perfect since my real body still looked like a 10-years old. It seems that I aged slowly.

In these five years, I managed to discover and uproot the many facilities of the Hellfire Club, then used genjutsu to gain many of their not-so-corrupt subjects' loyalty and killed all of the Council of the chosen while replacing them with clones since they would just be a pain to deal with. I then transferred all of their fortunes to myself and 'disposed' of them. I used their many low-levelled members to do my bidding around many areas of the world and to begin the construction of several branches for the future.

I also worked on their eastern equivalent, The Hand. I had to completely sever each finger and to seal their souls just to be sure and then nearly eradicate all of their members since their mind-washed minions were too big of a risk to leave alone. I was fortunate to gain a few good seedlings from them as well as their ninja's legacy and research. Since I also possessed shinobi knowledge from the Elemental Nations, I added the formation of a ninja division to my To-do list. It would be a terrifying sight to the enemy.

I thus silently gained a foothold as an international organization, now I just had to think of a name. (AN: leave your suggestions for the name and for eventual members please. The goal of the organization will be to protect the whole earth (Aka Arthur's goal as a territory for the main base) from external and internal threats, so something along those lines would be good.)

I used Hellfire Club' sentinel technology to reproduce a similar effect to Cerebro mutant-searching ability powered by Prana. I was sure to find good seedlings with my Tenshingan to gauge their potential. So I left a few clones with their eyes activated to monitor the sentinels' progress and to gain knowledge about possible candidates. (AN: in the comics, the Hellfire Club had sentinels that could track mutants and kill them if they couldn't be controlled. Cerebro is the machine that allows Charles Xavier from the X-Men to discover new mutants.)

I also bought a few grouped islands which I plan to use as an HQ in the future. It was still under construction, but I already connected them with Sigil gates while I covered them with countless Sigils to make them completely hidden, to not have people find them by chance (like a notice-me-not charm from Harry Potter) and to make unrelated people who did not sign a binding Sigil contract forget about their existence (Fidelius charm equivalent). (AN: the idea for the islands is from Burnable work: Post-apocalyptic Potter from a parallel Universe. Give it a try if you had yet to read it, it's an amazing work :) )

The recruitment of personnel was quite easy since I wasn't stingy with their pay and even offered paid leave (which was rare back then) while I used genjutsu to make everything look normal. Since things were running on tracks, I could leave for a while and come back when needed. So I, as the responsible boss that I am, travelled while leaving all the work to my clones and minions for their personal development.

////3rd POV//////

In a luxurious office in a tall building at the heart of New York, clone A of Arthur looked at clone B while he sighed.

"He does know that he'll still gain all of our memories, right? So he would have worked whenever he likes it or not."

Clone B wryly smiled as he nodded.

"He's just too lazy to do the effort himself when he can achieve the same results with clones."

A sweating young man hurriedly entered the office with a cup of coffee in hand which he carefully handed to clone B.

"Here's your Vienna coffee sir."

"Ohh thanks for your hard work, Jones."

Clone B turned to A while pointing to the young man.

"This is the hard-working trainee I talked to you about, Indiana Jones." (AN: No, it's just for fun haha)

Clone A nodded in appreciation. "I heard about you, always eager to learn and enthusiast about your work, keep working like that and you will soon have a permanent place within the company."

Young Jones was excited as he slightly bowed, while clone B had a gleam in his eyes.

"There is a new famous donut shop on the other side of manhattan, why don't you go fetch a dozen for us?"

Jones was speechless as he nodded and hurried away, afraid to receive other nonsensical orders.

Clone A stared at B for a while before asking. "Why did you do that? You could just teleport over there if you wanted those donuts."

Clone B just chuckled as he leaned back on his chair, trying to find a comfortable position.

"I'm lazy, too."

/////Back on track////

My destination is on the other side of the world, in Asia. Planes would take too long and would garner attention. So I just teleported all the way over there while keeping an Invisibility spell to avoid accidents.

My goal was to further my magical research and maybe add new things to my arsenal. So, naturally. I landed in Nepal, facing one of the few magical wonders on Earth, the residence of the Ancient one, home to countless sorcerer books, Kamar-Taj.
