Chapter 15

After that, getting Kunlun's monks to sign a magically binding contract to prove their loyalty was quite easy, I only had to put on a show with the help of 'Shou-Lao' by getting him to acknowledge me as his master. This was quite a shock to the poor old monks.

Anyway, after gaining new minions, I left a permanent portal to connect Kunlun to my hidden islands since it could be used in the future as a training ground for martial arts and Qi cultivation.

I then teleported to my office, inside of my company's building to confirm a few bits of knowledge I acquired from my clones.

I had left them to monitor the sentinels, who could find mutants to potentially recruit or eliminate, and to confirm a few things for me.

The first is that the current number of mutants all over the Earth is less than ten thousand, which can make sense since the mutations needed to trigger the X-gene are not always easy to achieve, even more so when people are unaware of it. (AN: I'm basing this on the fact that mutankind is a step of humans evolution and that it takes a long time for mutants to appear (and it is currently around 1926) while there is also the fact that they were officially discovered only around 1976. Additionally, their number is never large in the X-men movies.)

Secondly, is that mutants make amazing workers. I sent clones to secretly recruit them while offering many advantages, like a living space without discrimination, and I have to say, it was a good idea. The construction rate in the islands increased by more than ten times since they arrived, and I could finally see the HQ taking shape.

Thirdly, I was able to track the parents of a few important mutants, like Charles Xavier, Mystique and Magneto. I plan to wait for their birth and to let them grow before recruiting them. It should begin by the time the Second World War takes place.

Also about that, I already tracked Wolverine and placed him under observation, to let him get some more experience outside. But It's just a matter of time before I take him in too since I'm not letting that sweet healing factor go.

I was able to get a few blood samples when I had first found him, at that time I didn't take any risk and just put him to sleep using a spell. I've already put some clones to work on extracting and replicating Wolverine's healing factor, which I plan to combine with a bit of dragon blood to get a bunch of Ban-level undying warriors.

As for the dragon's heart, I will probably use it on myself while adding Wolverine's healing factor to increase my odds of succeeding in the first opening of my Eight Divine Gates.

I shake my head to get out of my thoughts, and look out the window, feeling the warmth of the last few rays of sunlight peeking through the skyline as the sun sank in the horizon. I put down the glass of fruit punch in my hand and finish eating the serving of steak and fries in front of me before placing it on a huge pile of empty plates that would leave a Saiyan in admiration. What, I'm a black hole, so don't judge.

"Sigh, if only that dragon's body didn't turn into ashes…"

I sigh as I shake my head.

'Alfred, give me a review of the Pink Panther Plan.'

'Yes, thank you, Alfred.'

'Oh, do tell, is it a flaw you found?'

I briefly chuckle.

'Ohh that. Don't worry, it's the most fitting one I found. You see, Wakanda was built around the belief of a certain cat goddess which plays a central role in their society. Now, as an analogy, take note for this one, if you ever find yourself in a negotiation, then the best way to strike a good deal is to find the other party 'balls' and to 'monkey steal peach' them.'

'Now, back to Wakanda, if I take Bast, their goddess, as my pet, then what would they become?'

'Good guess haha. No, they would become loyal subjects that I can use to build something bigger.'

My own A.I is praising me, it's making me blush.

I then rise from my seat and open a portal to another dimension, a certain (pink) panther's dimension.
