'I should hold back a bit more next time…'
I sighed as I cast another spell. I was currently working on the restoration of Bast's world since I felt responsible for nearly destroying it.
It wasn't something easy to do, especially so with the scale of this world, luckily, I had a few tricks in the hat, namely, spells. It was wonderful to record the freezing of an active volcano and the accelerated 'global warming' effect on the frozen sea. I used my Mokuton-equivalent spell to recreate all the forested areas, feeling like a certain Senju blockhead.
In the meanwhile, I had Bast begin preparation for the next step of the plan. Basically, she would use the connection she has with her believers to give them a certain message in their dreams, which is the coming of their leader, me.
Knowing human nature, it won't give me immediate access to the throne, but it would at least be the credentials needed for a better starting point.
To better help my cause, I would let her give them those dream-messages for a while before I personally go there. And for the records, yes, those were not-so-subtle subliminal messages.
After evening the countless craters that scarred the ground, I was finally done with my construction work. I proudly looked at my 'renovations' as a gentle breeze ran through the grassy plain in front of me, making the freshly 'made' grass follow it's current, swaying in a calming manner.
Beyond this plain, the vibrantly green forests seemed to be scattered emeralds in the distance. On the other side, the pearly white beach would put international high-class resorts to shame while the seawater was a beautiful turquoise that deepened with its depth.
'Mm, I'll add Environmental Designer to my resume.'
I turned to Bast, who was laying on a beach chair in her cat form and called out to her.
"Hey Bast, what do you think of this? isn't it better than before?"
She suddenly had a tick mark on her cute cate face.
"Yes, Arthur, you have done a good job to bring everything to what it was, though I feel something crucial is missing."
I tilted head to the side, acting like I was clueless while trying to repress the growing smirk on my face. I love teasing people.
"What could be missing?"
Her eyes twitched for a second before she pointed around her.
"Life! Aside from plants, everything else is dead!"
I had a shit-eating grin on my face as I snapped my finger, summoning a skeletal cat on my side. This was one of the forbidden spells I had learned, Summon Undead. Her widened cat-eyes were immediately stored in one of my folders.
"Here, this is Garfield, he may not be 'alive', but he can be quite lively too."
At my word, the skeletal cat flipped with a jump before landing on his paws, looking at me his empty eye socket. How cute.
I don't think that Bast liked the joke since she just 'banished' him from existence. How sad. Garfield, I wish you can find your lasagna paradise.
"You know this is not what I meant!"
I chuckled.
"Alright alright, you can just pick a few living specimens of your choice on Earth and breed them here."
She seemed satisfied with that as she returned to laying down on her beach chair. I turned around, walking while thinking.
'Now that the first step of the plan is completed, I can wait a bit before resuming with the next step. Time is of the essence if want to complete my Eight Divine Gates soon. I also have to meditate on my sword path to go beyond the Force to reach the Essence. That's about it for my to-do list.'
Cultivation and sword training are a few good ways to increase my strength, though the best is still to increase the mass of my black hole since it has the most direct impact on my abilities. Besides, I already planned to get a shit-ton worth of mass when I'm able to reach the negative zone, that place is a real 'all you can eat' buffet that I'm salivating to find.
I stopped my musing as I arrived on the central island of my hidden islands. The sight was amazing. The mutant workers I took in did an outstanding job and constructed buildings and infrastructures that wouldn't look out of sort in a five-star resort.
I landed in the most central building, a beautiful white villa that had a view on the majority of the island. I had chosen this spot to be my vacation house, as well as a place to retreat to when I wanted to do some research and cultivate in peace.
With my clones, I didn't need to worry about work outside, so I could turn my whole attention to develop my Eight Divine Gate.
Thus, I sat cross-legged and went into my mindscape, ready for the numerous experiments that were coming.
'Alfred, let's start Test-C23'
