Flash Burn

As Sora whispered in my ear my secret that I haven't told anyone, and the only one that knew was Leon; so how the hell did he know. With fury coursing through my body, a gust of wind exploes through the room everyone shielding they're face from the gusts of wind eminating from body the walls begin to shake, and the air begins to buzz. "Hey you need to calm down, Leon told me through the missive!" As the thought occurred to me Leon would try, and reach out but why would he just out right tell him my secret? "You mean to tell me Leon, just wrote in a letter that I'm a variant, and by some magical way the guards didn't arrest me; ya I'll believe that when I see the proof." Sora with a tired look in his eyes reaches over on the table, and grabs to be what seemed to be a letter with a broken seal on it. The seal looked to be Leons, the crest of an eagle with an olive branch in one talon, and a scroll the symbol for house Horton. As I read the contents of the letter, no where in it did it mention I was a variant; actually it just looked like regular order form that he would ship out for pick ups ahead of time before we would hit a town. "What is this?" Asking midly confused. "This looks like a typical order form from Leon, and no where does it mention I'm a variant so please explain." Sora grabs the scroll and holds it near a flame, and all of sudden the order form changed to a letter with words instead of numbers; explaining who I am and my powers. "Do you believe us now?" With a nod, I ease up but still keep myself on guard incase of anything. "I see Leon has trained you well, especially to hone your powers in such a manner." Sora begins pacing the room as he explains the organization he founded, "we are the order of Fujin, our main purpose is to topple the the leading faction in the eagle kingdom, that being said the variant of hurricane is the son of the current zephyr so we're in a bind, and that's we're we believe you can come and help." Suprised by such a plain explanation I get the gut feeling he's hiding something from me. "To understand this variant, you need to prepare yourself to be absolutely merciless, cold, and calculating." Confused as to why the general question of "why" escapes my mouth. Sora quickly explains because he isn't afraid to use civilians as hostages, and he will exploit that." Disgusted by the thought of having to kill innocent people to defeat him, "I asked if there is anyother way of taking him out?" Sora sits down and looks me in the eyes and blanetetly says "no." Frustrated I press on the matter "how do you expect me to just out right kill innocent people?" Slamming my hands against the table, Rey grabs onto my shoulder and tells me to "calm down." I take a deep breath in, and breathe out, "I just don't understand is all."  Sora with a breath explains there's no choice in the matter, for the fact that apparently the hurricane variant has no control over his abilities, and goes beserk when he unleases his hurricane winds. Having understand the situation, the situation changed from me accepting the idea of killing innocent people to there's no way to avoid it, because odds are he'll be killing all the people in the vicinity of him. "So then if that's the case, I'm going to have to drag him out of the castle walls to fight him if that's the case." The true question remains at the end of the day though how would we start this revolution, and how am I supposed to help in this. Sora leans back in the chair, and begins to look up at the ceiling, "That's a cute idea and all, but how do you plan on doing that when he's never left the city for anything, and on top of that he's known to be the strongest fighter in this city, so no one has ever challenged him; so what do you plan on doing?" With no ideas flowing through I need a break after all this. Rey steps in, and asks if she should show me to my quarters, and get my gear ready. With a wave of Sora's hand Rey grabs my arm, and pulls me towards the door. Walking down the corridor silence is all that stays between us, but I can smell her she has a scent that reminds me of home. The scent lf lavender and sunflowers. The sunflowers is what brings me home really if anything, and for some stupid reason I ask her where she's from, but all I get is silence I go on to say "you smell like my home." Still unfazed by the statement, I go on to say that the scent reminds me of Culsè, and the moment I said Culsè she turns around, amd slams her arm in my throat, and effectively pinning me to the wall. "What the hell do you know of Culsè?!" Shocked by her sudden change of attitude I tell her that actually I was born there, and before this crazyness, I was deemed the weakest of the Wolf clan. Shocked by what I said she shows me her necklace in the shape of a wolf, and with a shock I realize she's a member of the wolf clan as well! She begins to drop her arm, and we begin to walk, and within a few a seconds I arrive at my quarters. On the bed lies black armor with throwing knives for a cross holster on my chest, and leather greaves, and boots. "Sora said you can keep your bow, and sword it's  a memento of the Hortons so he doesn't mind." Looking around the room all I see are brown walls with no decoration, the scent of empty fills my nose I turn to Rey for confirmation. She looks me in the eyes plainly as if to say it does not get better than this so enjoy. With a deep breath I walk out of the room we return to Sora. "Ah you're back wonderful how do you like your room?" With a plain look of pure, and absolute sarcasm I say "wooo the room is like palace housing let me tell ya." Sora irritated points to the map and explains each location is where he needs me to flash my lightning, and cause havoc, but I need to make a ruckus and quickly leave before the other variant get's there, or guards to prevent any unnecessary casualties. Understanding I nod my head, and told him what locations I was going to hit. Headed to my room I grab on my new gear put on my mask and throw on my hood. Rey rushes over to me and explains she is to come with me. As we leave the hideout we begin leaping up onto a roof. As we reached the top we began to leap across the rooftops; I tried to start a conversation with Rey, but I guess she didn't care to hear me. By the time we got there I realised the first tagret I chose was a Barracks for imperial soldiers. A simple building really square in looks, and no real fancy design other then the eagle clans flag mounted on the walls. With a breath I step forward focus hard, and begin to channel lighting I begin to invision a lighting bolt dancing across the sky, hard winds blowing  through, rain, the works I wanted a massive amount of energy. As I was channeling thr lightning the atmosphere outside began to change the clear sky began to give birth to dark clouds, lightning dances across the clouds and thunder booms over head. Focusing my gaze on the building I let out a breath feeling the lightning course through my body I stretch my hand out and say strike. With a massive flash lightning strikes the barracks completely destroying the building leaving nothing but cinders, after the lighting struck the thunder wipped the area clean like it never exhisted the shockwave blasting me, and Rey back me landing on my back, and Rey landing on her feet. "What the hell?!" Screaming cause my ears are ringing very confused as to what just happened it shouldn't have been an explosion like that! Rey confused as to what just happened I motion to run away. As we begin to take off, and head back to the hide out I notice a glint from the corner of my I scream "DODGE THE ARROWS!" As we run arrows zip pass me from all angles. Rey dropped from the roof and began running through the streets. An arrow nicks my leg causing me to miss my landing, and to slam into a chimney. I think to myself how the hell did they get here so fast, and how did they know it was us?! I here clash of metal below me meaning that Rey has engaged the enemy. I recover, and drop to the ground I see Rey trying to fight off three city guards men I jump over the crowd forming my hand into a blade and unleash my attack Gale Slash! The attack misses the guardsman, and strikes the ground near them causing a smoke screen using the smoke as cover we find  a sewer, and decend removing my hood and mask I shout " what the hell was that?!" Rey trying cath her breath holding her arm "I don't know we have to tell Sora the plan is shot they were ready for us that's for sure"  As we began to make our decent throw the sewers we heard a massive explosion. The explosion was so intense we felt the shockwave from where were. "The hideout!" We both shouted. We began sprinting all the way through the tunnels till we reached a collapsed portion of the tunnel that lead to the hideout. Our worse fears confirmed we've been betrayed.
