The next day, Sabrina woke up with a headache. She held her head as she sat on bed.
She looked around the room and realized that it wasn't her room, it was Alexander's. As she scanned the room, she saw Alexander sleeping on his sofa.
"How the heck did I end up here?" Sabrina whispered to herself. She got up from bed and headed down stairs to grab some water.
Arriving at the kitchen, she saw Kenzie and Grey preparing breakfast.
"You guys making breakfast?" Sabrina asked them as she approached the refrigerator to get some water which made both Grey and Kenzie jump in shock.
"Sabrina, you're awake," Kenzie said with a slight tone of surprise in her voice.
Sabrina, holding the cup to her mouth, turned to face the both of them and looked at them weirdly, "Why are you guys so tense?" she asked them.
"Uhmmm Sab…" Kenzie started.
"What?" Sabrina raised her brows on Kenzie.
"You might want to cover that, Kenzie pointed at her.
"Cover what?" Sabrina asked Kenzie. She looked at her body but she didn't see a thing.
"Go look at the mirror," Kenzie answered.
Sabrina placed down the cup she was holding and rushed to the bathroom to take a look at what Kenzie was pointing at.
"Oh my gosh," Sabrina said as soon as she saw the love bites on her body, "Alexander!" she shouted as she ran back to Alexander's room.
She opened the door with force and rushed towards Alexander. She threw punches at him as soon as she got close to him.
"Ouch!" Alexander complained, "Ow! Stop! It hurts!" he cried.
"What did you do to me last night huh?" Sabrina questioned him while she punched his chest.
"Baby it hurts!" Alexander grabbed both Sabrina's wrist and pulled it closer to him, "What a violent woman," he said.
"Violent? I'll show you what's violent," Sabrina lifted her head and head banged Alexander.
What was that for!?" Alexander shouted. He sat up and held his forehead.
"It's for this!" Sabrina pointed the love bites on her neck, "Care to explain?" she asked.
Alexander lifted his head to look at Sabrina, "Don't you remember what happened yesterday?" he asked.
"Yesterday? What happened yesterday?" Sabrina asked in confusion.
"Are you playing dumb with me here baby?" Alexander raised his brows on Sabrina.
"You think I'll head bang you just to play dumb?" she looked at Alexander in disbelief, "It hurts you know!" Sabrina said while she rubbed her forehead.
"What's the last thing you remember yesterday?" Alexander asked her.
"I just remember practicing my lines while waiting for you yesterday, then I asked Kenzie to bring me a drink and then…"
"And then?"
"And then my body felt hot so I took a shower and then I was feeling really sleepy so I slept. Then next thing I know I'm in your room, in your bed, with love bites!" Sabrina said.
"You don't remember begging me to sleep with you?" he asked.
"What!? Are you nuts?" Sabrina raised her voice.
"Oh so you don't remember throwing yourself at me yesterday?" Alexander smiled as he crossed his arms.
"Me? Throwing myself at you? Are you okay?" Sabrina asked with a tone of mockery.
"Go call Kenzie here," Alexander said.
"What does she have to do with this?" Sabrina raised her brows.
"Just call her."
Sabrina stomped her foot and headed downstairs with heavy steps. She went straight to the kitchen and dragged Kenzie up to Alexander's room.
"Kenzie's here, now what?" Sabrina asked Alexander.
"Why are you asking me? Ask her," Alexander answered.
"I'm sorry! I really didn't mean it, I swear!" Kenzie suddenly spoke while she raised her right hand.
"What are you talking about Kenzie?" Sabrina looked at her in confusion.
"You remember that I gave you a drink yesterday right?" Kenzie looked at Sabrina nervously.
"Yeah, that was really good," Sabrina spoke.
"And so uhmm… It's actually a cocktail that uhm…." Kenzie rubbed her palms together as sweat started to come out.
"And?"
"The cocktail kind of had a high alcohol content and it had a late effect on you and… you know how you are when you're drunk right?" Kenzie lowered her head to avoid Sabrina's eyes.
Sabrina had a bad habit of not remembering anything when she got drunk. She also had the tendency to go wild like she was on aphrodisiac.
"You know you're dead right?" Sabrina glared at Kenzie.
"Uh-oh," Kenzie said. She immediately ran away from Sabrina in a flash.
"Get back here!" Sabrina yelled as she chased after Kenzie.
Alexander, who was left inside the room, stood up and fixed his pillow and blanket. He also took a shower and went to his study room after.
While going through some documents, he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in," he said. The door opened and Grey entered inside, holding a folder on his hands.
"I came for the report Sir," Grey said, lifting the folder in his hands.
"Have a seat," Alexander closed the report he was reading and turned to Grey, "What did you find?" he asked.
Grey sat down and opened the folder in his hands, "Julian Walker, 46 years old, currently living in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Married to Tracey Finn with two daughters, Patrice and Erika Walker. He currently works as a director for Hollywood."
"What about his family history?" Alexander asked.
"Director Walker was the son of Mr. George Walker. Not many knew about his background because he was kept hidden. Although his surname was 'Walker', nobody suspected him of his connection to the Walker family," Grey said.
Alexander raised his brows upon hearing Grey, "What do you mean?" he asked in confusion.
"Well Director Walker was a bastard. He was Mr. George's son from an affair," Grey explained, "When he was 5, his mother took him to the Walker mansion and begged them to take him in because she was sick. She handed Director Walker to them and disappeared right after," he added.
"So you're telling me that Director Walker was an illegitimate child?" Alexander questioned.
"Yes Sir," Grey answered.
"Why was his identity as a part of the Walker family kept hidden?"
"The madam of the Walker house, Ysabel Walker, didn't like him. She was against Director Walker stepping into the Walker house. She despised him to the point where she forcefully sent him here in LA to live all by himself," explained Grey.
"So Director Walker was hated by the legal wife and she sent him here?" Alexander asked and Grey nodded in response.
"Now that makes sense," Alexander whispered to himself.
Several days ago, Alexander made a phone call to Sabrina's father to ask him about Director Walker. He asked how his relationship with him was.
"I say we're pretty close," Javier said.
"You didn't have any issues with each other? Like a fight or something?" Alexander asked.
"As far as I remember we had none," Javier answered, "Why are you suddenly interested Alex?" he asked.
"I just need to confirm some things," he answered.
"We didn't have a fight but our mother and he did."
"May I ask why?"
"Well, ever since we were young our mother really hated him. She always made things hard for him. I was a witness to every hardship Julian faced inside the Walker house. I'm really glad that he decided to leave and pursue his dreams in the states," Javier said.
"Do you know why your mom hated him?" Alexander asked.
"I think it's because he's a--- I'm coming! Javier shouted, "I'm sorry Alexander can we continue this call sometime? I need to handle some things right now."
"It's fine you, thanks for your time Uncle," Alexander said and ended the call.
Inside his study room, Alexander rubbed his chin as he turned his chair around.
"You think it has to do with some family issues Sir?" Grey asked Alexander.
"I think so," he answered, "But what I don't understand here is why he's going after Sabrina?" Alexander said.
"I'll dig up some more information about him Sir," Grey said then left Alexander's room immediately.
Alexander fell into a deep thought. This was definitely about family issues, he was sure about it.
But why was he targeting Sabrina who was innocent?
And what's his reason for doing this?
Revenge?
Power?
Both?
There's definitely more to this story that Alexander needs to find out.
