Calian POV
"Looks like the city has totally plunged into chaos," I looked at people screaming and running for their lives, I honestly think that they have less than a percent of a chance to make it out alive. "Quite the astute observation Calian, I wouldn't have noticed," that sarcasm in her sweet little smile is oh so unnerving, my lips twitched for a second.
"I report what I observe," maintain the fake smile, keep it calm, keep it nice. I looked around and we looked at those zombies behind the fence barriers, it won't hold for long. I shifted and saw Jill blew 3 bullets into the zombie's head, this is very unrealistic if it's up to my opinion. How did a zombie take up multiple shots to the head while humans can't even take one shot at a time.
The brain is the center of the human nervous system and if there is so much as even a small internal bleed, you'll land into a long and unsure coma. But these zombies, they have been infected with a virus that might take control of your brain and actions but what I do not understand is that viruses kill cells and that includes brain cells.
Even if somehow, the virus doesn't damage any brain cells, they aren't human and can't control a human's body just like you can't be an astronaut unless you're one. Virus is a virus and human is a human. Two different physiology can't join with each other. But somehow the T-virus managed that and can control a human body.
Even then, shots to the brain still damages the nerves and if nerves are damaged, they can't transmit neuron waves to even as simple as moving your body. And here we are in zombieville where my intelligence in Biology is turned upside down by the terminology of 'zombies'. Jill ran right into the nearby alley beside a shop by the name of Amiset, wonder what it sells before.
"Oh great a blood splatter, this will be the safest route we can take," a pool of blood and some splashes of it was painted across the wall and garbage dump. "At least we can clear up the alley of any 'misfits'," yeah, you must have a lot of 'misfits' in these alleys but these 'misfits' are no longer rapists but cannibals, entirely different case.
"Do people just have handgun ammo lying everywhere around here," Jill grabbed a case of handguns and their surprisingly full, which fool would leave that there. "Welcome to Raccoon City then, where placing rifles on diners is entirely legal," not even Texas does that, at least I don't think so and Jill just chuckled and continued.
I shrugged and follow her behind to another turn round the way, in which she backed off from something. Of course, three zombies in an alleyway, sounds like some racy erotic found on shady proxy websites. I gently took my umbrella opening it under Jill's bewildered eyes, aimed the canopy to the zombies, they're going to be launched!
I pressed a button and the canopy hurled forward and in a flash, the three zombies were thrown off the ground and past the steel mesh door and fence. "That is... useful," I'm glad she looks speechless, and coupled with the time the game took place which is in 1998 where apple hasn't even launched their prized phone yet.
This umbrella truly is a technological marvel, a built sniper rifle, net launcher, bulletproof shield and detachable grip, and very fictional. "Of course, spy gadgets, I wish could have one of those," Jill muttered something out of hearing range and I kicked the steel door open and looked left right for anything dangerous.
Is that Megaman, I came to a toy shop across the street, peered into the glass and saw Megaman, that's so nostalgic. The shop is locked but some shots will hurt. "What are you doing Calian, miss your childhood days?" Jill grinned and joined to see what's in the store. "I'm here to see Megaman," blowing the locks and opening the door, some chimes sounded to alert the clerks which sadly must have died.
"What's that box," Jill came buy and held some fancy box and opened it up. I was expecting some bullets but close enough, it might not be a bullet, it is a green gem. Not only that, it's the diamond shaped gem fit for the commemorative furniture back in the subway entrance. "Keep it for now, I'm curious what happens if its inserted into one of the holes."
Jill put it into her pockets, her very deep pockets as I can't help but see her stuff everything in them. I got out the toy store and looked around, the road further is blocked by all the crashed cars it'll be hard to get through them and the other plausible side is only the meshed fence blocking a couple of zombies behind it.
"Come here Calian, I've learned that bullets can destroy locks and it must be able to cut some chains," you mean the supermarket, all right then if you want some snacks for the road, I'm totally fine with it. I shot only one bullet on the flimsy rusty chain and it broke right away. "Look here, another fancy box."
These boxes are really random aren't they, we just found one in the toy store and another in the supermarket. "Is that a blue gem," another one of those gems for the furniture, they don't look fake so I can't fathom why these gems could be in somewhere random like a store and a mart. "Don't you think it's insulting to call this a gem, it's more fitting to be named a jewel."
"What's the bloody difference," living in Britain for a few months really changed a few of my vocabulary, I even love drinking tea nowadays and I hate tea, not anymore but once in the past I do. Anyway, gem and jewel is basically the same thing. "A gem could be referred to a precious unprocessed rock while jewels have been cut and processed into valuable stones."
Fine then, have it your way, there's still no bloody difference, one's processed and the other's not, in the end it's still an expensive rock. I went to the shelf behind, this supermarket is emptied, the display fridges have nothing and powerless, the shelfs and cashiers have nothing. Aside from a spray can and a jar of some sort.
"Well ya lookie here!" This is not supposed to be in a supermarket, that I know for sure.
