The 'Alien' Strikes III

Calian POV

So the long road down, that's what we're taking. Ideally, we would be descending via the ladder conveniently placed there but we all know how slow ladders are. So we take the alternative route, via umbrella hook-handle! "Hold on tight," this seems a bit intimate but I swear I haven't got a single sexual thought on my mind, at least not right now.

I spread my right arm across Jill's waist and proceeded to push her off the platform together with me as my umbrella's handle hooked some rails as it detached into ropes downwards. And... touchdown. "We need to somehow kill that beast," Jill said as soon as we landed as I whipped up my umbrella, bringing the handle back down for connection.

Oh boy, that alien is still very very angry, and he isn't stopping ever. Crash!!! He leaped downwards as the alien roared in front of us, this is terrorizing. "Follow the cables!" I did a quick look around and found that all the cables are leaving down a rather wide corridor to someplace. Figure I'd take a chance, cables carry electricity and wherever it brings us will brings us to its source of energy.

My lord, what have I come across. It's a circular room but not spherical, more oval than anything. it's got high roofs but a depth more than twice the former's height. It became apparent to me once I looked downwards that I've arrived at a gigantic reactor. It's not a nuclear reactor by the looks of it, either way, it's huge, and not to mention, dangerous.

There's all sorts of metal tubes which was connected by all the cables and in the middle, a floating ball of light, no more words to describe it other than that. But I knew then that if I were to fall off this platform right into that ball, I'll die in an instant, smaller than a fraction of a second! Those footsteps, the alien has caught up!

"You've run a long way and I'll give the long way out," I can see the evil grin through the earthly helmet. This is like some sort of fighting game where I'm fighting the final boss who remains invulnerable until I took his armor off but in any case, the good guys (almost) always wins! The distance between us and the alien is only about a meter's length which only amkes this confrontation even more difficult.

He stepped one foot forward, we stepped one foot backwards and over and over again until ten. This is an intimidation tactic, and well, I'm not really intimidated (a lie). "Time to go!" The alien screamed and raised his arm before something made him stop. that something is his armor, yellow gas slowly seeping out thought he surface, like a swift evaporating puddle of water in a hot summer day!

"This! I'm out of range!" Heck yeah! What he meant by out of range is obviously regarding the beacon he put down, now we've got a fair fight! Two vs one! How're you gonna play HUH!!! The alien's armor swiftly disintegrated, leaving him defenseless, only skin and cloth is what separates me and Jill from blowing him up!

"Tch! No matter, this will still be easy," the alien gazed at us with an insulting look as if saying 'you are mere ants below my feet', he then moved to a fighting stance, time for a UFC match. But of course,, you never bring fists to a gun fight. Actually... never mind, I'll totally swallow my words for what I've witnessed.

Just then, Jill was holding her shotgun, so easily pointed at the alien. But God, that alien does move fluidly, considering how crass he had been just moments ago with his armor and elemental abilities! Closing the distance in a second, the alien managed to rob Jill of her shotgun in one forceful pull, throwing it behind his back.

Then came a jab, Jill blocked it, and a hook, defended by the left forearm, that'll leave a bruise! I discarded my umbrella back into my inventory as I rushed to lend a helpful hand against the stronger opponent. I threw a punch aimed at the head and a hand intercepted me midway, forcing me two actions, change direction or retract.

Simply moving forwards isn't an option, especially with the alien's physical strength. I change direction, redirecting my punch though it would result in lost of momentum, but a hitting chance weighs more on my scale. I passed through an opening, swerving my hand like a snake and strongly grasped his inner elbow.

Pushing it with strength, I managed to staggering him back, distracting him enough for a fist to connect to that skin! Punch! First blood belongs to Mr. Aurelius! Some imaginary crowds cheered for me from within my mid as the alien stumbled backwards, one hand on the hurtful cheek. The alien threw a spit of blood out of his mouth down to the reactor as he growled at us.

"ARGH!!!" The alien screamed and threw an immature punch forward with I, blocking it with both my palms. And Jill, coming in for a downwards sweep, her legs smashing on the alien's two ankles as he shrieked and fell to the ground in shame! You're outnumbered fella. Even an extraordinarily strong man would fall under numbers.

"RAWRR!!!" The alien tried once more before I and Jill spread way for his rush and kicked his charred back with powerful force! "AAAHHHHHHH!!!" Ugh, I can feel the pain, ooh, that kick might be just too cruel but considering our stand, it's not so much as such. "Come," Jill said to me as I raised my brow, seeing at what she's to do.

The alien is till laying on the ground face first, hurting from our kick to his charred back. Then, Jill lifted on both his shoulders. Ah... I see. I pulled the alien's legs by my hands as the alien finally realized our intentions. "No! Stop! Stop!" He struggled but... off he goes! "NO!!!!!!!! SELANIA WILL RISE AGAIN!!!"

And poof! The alien turned to air upon touching the ball of light. That was hard, now, now I need a drink.
