General POV
"So, who's Sakura again?" In a dark building, a cute feminine voice questioned as weapons were spread around a table. "She's a poor girl. Well, that's to the extent of my memory, Nagisa," a short black haired woman said to the other, dressed in light military uniform, her hands packing a sniper rifle into its case.
"I thought you told me that information is above all, hmm... Yamamoto-san?" a blue haired girl(?) shrugged her(?) shoulders, her right hand spinning a butterfly knife in expertise. This is the so called hide out of the Japanese team, Yamamoto Hayami and Nagisa Shiota. The former a girl and the latter a boy, yes a boy, you did not read it wrong.
This feminine looking blue haired guy wearing a blue vest, white buttoned up shirt and a tie, is a man. "That is why we must immediately go for her, you know engage in a conversation, establish a tie, gain information, and help her win the war! See the simplicity of the matter," Nagisa twitched hearing Hayami's words. Easy for her to just say that.
"I mean, you're a student, you'll do the talking," Nagisa saw what was implied in that sentence, she as a genuine student suddenly came and strike up some chat with Sakura, another student, get along with her and yada yada yada. "Or we can just, you know, talk to her without these needless acting?" Nagisa gave her opinion.
"Or we can do that, we'll do that," Nagisa's eyes twitched again, then why would I need to give you a suggestion when you're going to do it anyway??? "Well, what about him," Nagisa sighed and pointed to the sofa on the other side of the room, where a man was tied up and knocked out senselessly.
"Leave him there, he'll eventually wake up," yes this is how a 30 year old respectable army major went downhill into crimes after arriving in this insane game of Gods. But she isn't exactly complaining, she loves adrenaline, this gives her adrenaline, a win win situation for her. And Nagisa just tags along after she quite literally kidnapped her from her world.
Nagisa isn't exactly pleased but she's promised that she could return so she'll just put up with it. Plus, she got free ticket to heaven so she isn't complaining either. There are a lot of guns scattered around. Heckler Koch submachine guns, pistols, knives, everything a military man loves. Surprising yet unsurprisingly, the guns slowly disappeared as the two's hands hovered above them, returning each weapon into their inventory space.
"Why do we look like doomsday merchants," Hayami asked rhetorically with a hint of a smile. "You're the one buying all of it," Nagisa only gave a small response to it. "Besides, where is Sakura, currently? Still in the supermarket?" Nagisa questioned with a swipe of her hand, opening the front door for an exit.
Hearing that, Hayami's eyes flashed into a void, her entire eyes turned terrifyingly black! But if one would pay close attention, they would discover the stars contained within. This is the sky eye, an ability capable of discovering and spying on anyone in a one mile radius. Of course, there's a duration and cooldown involved.
"Yup, still selecting groceries," Her eyes came back into normality as they strolled down the hall, stopping in front of the elevator. Their height different is quite apparent, the boy with a height of 159 centimeters and the colonel standing at 176 centimeters. Standing side by side, they do look strange, especially when one is dressed in militaristic style and the other like a semi-butler.
"What time is it?" A sudden voice broke the silence as they waited for the elevator. A man and a woman pair had joined behind them, presumably to also stand by for the elevator. Nagisa secretly peeked, definitely not Japanese, but Asian, maybe Korean or Chinese. "It's morning, we don't need a fixed schedule today," the woman spoke as the man simply shrugged.
Ding! The elevator opened as the 4 crowded in. No one spoke a single word as the two different groups bode not to as they realized a certain fact. 'These two aren't ordinary,' this is the thought that passed each of the temporary inhabitants of this lonely elevator, each feeling the power from another and vice versa.
They soon realize the second idea, they are both contestants! Of course, it isn't ideal to fight in an elevator or even fight in broad daylight so they kept their lips shut throughout the entire journey down. Tense is the feeling everyone is sensing at the moment. But, Ding! Every situation has an ending and this is it.
The two sides calmly walked out and went in the completely opposite direction, no confrontation, they'll lead that to a different date. "I can sense a bit of dislike from their eyes though not much," Nagisa gave her observation, yes not malice or wickedness, but dislike which is odd for her knowing they've never met.
"During the Imperial Japanese invasion, the Northern Chinese and Korean territories fell under the cruel imperial rule where a lot died and violated and other war crimes were done. Both the Koreans and the Chinese have since developed some innate form of hate against the Japanese. Koreans not so much anymore but the Communist Chinese, that's another story."
Hayami sighed, in the end, it's all the Imperial Japanese's fault. Sometimes extremities are better not used, especially in war where the winning side could always coincidentally become the losing side. "Oh, right..." Nagisa could not sigh nor have any opinions on that, it's the past, just a remnant of a time far from the future. It's not right to mull too much into it.
"So, how poor is Matou Sakura, it's not financial is it," she asked curiously seeing the ugly look in her senior and partner's face when she had previously said about Sakura being a poor girl without any meaning to it. "It's complicated, it's bad, it's private, you'll know about it. Besides, this should hopefully erase the 'poor' from poor girl."
Hayami raised a conical flask on her hand, in it, a golden liquid. "Now, let's get going, the supermarket's just in front."
