Second Sex's Explained.

This story is set in the world of an Omegaverse. An Omegaverse is where people have a second gender after being male and female. They have a blood test around the age of 12 or 13 to discover what their second gender is. The characteristics and behaviours or each are listed below along with some common terms:

Alphas:

They make up 20% of the population and can be both male and female.

They are born to have increased intelligence, stronger and more powerful quirks and release different pheromones depending on the situation. Their characteristics does not affect their personalities

They can only have children with Omegas.

They have Rut periods every 3 months or when they can smell the pheromones of an unclaimed, unmarked Omega goes into Heat, but only the pheromones of certain Omegas can trigger this.

They can take suppressors via injections to help control the sudden onset of a Rut.

Female Alphas do not have periods like female Betas and are unable to become pregnant.

They can only claim/mark/bond an Omega during their Rut and whilst knotting.

They can form a temporary bond with an Omega is they bite their nape outside of Rut and Heat period.

They cannot break any bond.

Betas:

They make up the majority of the population, 60%.

They can only have children with other Betas.

Female Betas have periods each month where they bleed.

They are regarded as regular humans with no special abilities but they still have their quirks.

They can become affect by an Alphas pheromones if they are strong enough and a certain type.

Omegas:

They make up 20% of the population and can be both male and female, with males being more common.

Female Omegas do not have a period like female Betas but do have a monthly Heat cycle.

An Omega in Heat release a large amount of pheromones to attract an Alpha mate. Only in Heat can the Omega become claimed or marked. They are likely to become pregnant during their heat period, unless they take contraceptives via injection. They can be given suppressant medication to help with their Heats and their pheromones.

An Omega is claimed/marked/bonded when the Alpha bites the nape of their neck during knotting. Any other bite to the nape is classed as a temporary bond.

A claimed/marked/bonded Omega is bound to the Alpha for life and their pheromones only affect their Alpha.

They can complete the bonding by biting the Alphas scent gland on their wrists during knotting.

They are the same as Betas and do not possess any special abilities but they still have their quirks.

Fated Mates/ Pair:

An Alpha and Omega are born fated to one another.

This is tested alongside their second gender test at age 12 or 13.

A person born fated will always feel empty and longing for their mate, even if they are mated with another.

An Omega that is born fated will reject everyone during their Heat period unless they are their fated mate.

An Alpha and Omega recognises each other as fated mates when their eyes meet and glow. Their pheromones are always flower scents to each other.

Fated Mates are incredibly rare and only 100 cases have been reported worldwide due to you mate either not being born yet or on the other side of the world.

A fated pair must be able to touch and see each other regularly otherwise they fall into undesirable states.

States:

An Alpha and Omega can drop into undesirables states know as feral and unstable feral. This can be caused by becoming so desperate to protect or claim another that they lose control of their second gender and Quirk.

An Feral state can be controlled and stopped but it take a considerable amount of suppressants and man power to achieve this.

An Unstable feral sate make the person want to commit suicide by over using their quirk, you lose your mind and there is no way to bring them back from this state. Every person who fell to this state had died

Bonding:

Bonding happens between an Alpha and an Omega only.

They are bonded to each other during unprotected sexual intercourse where the Alpha will knot the Omega and bite their nape.

The Omega can bond the Alpha to them by biting the scent glands on their wrists to complete the bond but this only works when the Alpha has bitten their nape first.

An Alphas knot is when the head of their penis becomes enlarged and 'locks' into place at the entrance to the Omegas uterus. Their knot can last from 15- 45 minutes and during this time they are constantly ejaculating. Once a knot is formed it cannot be removed. The aim of knotting is to get the Omega pregnant with their 'pups'.

Bites on the wrist and nape made during knotting are permanent and will not fade but heal over time.

A bonded pair will only be effected by each other pheromones and can live without suppressants.

A temporary bond is formed when the Alpha bites the nape of the Omega when they are not having sexual intercourse. This bond only lasts until the Omegas next heat where it is broken, causing the Omega extreme pain and discomfort.

A broken bond can cause the Omega to fall into an undesirable state.
