Queen Litzizi

(Moon realm - Dzinu's P.O.V)

"Tch! He has already lost it!"

Ripples spread out in vast directions as I rushed towards the lone building in the middle of the seemingly expansive void. The moon above the shrine glowed with an eerie blue colour and it didn't look like it was going to last as dark patches began to form all around it.

"I have to hurry!", I immediately entered the shrine and tapped twice on the wooden floor with my feet. "I didn't teach him about the clone ability for no reason. Since they returned to him, I should have access to the foreign aura that comes with it."

A wooden rectangular structure, only a metre in height, shot up from right before me. Runic symbols were etched over its entire surface and were beginning to glow.

"This should do it", warm air escaped my mouth as I strengthened my footing. "Reverse!"

My right palm slammed onto the top surface of the structure and instantly, a bright beam of light erupted from it. The intensity of the light caused me to squint my eyes and the force from the release constantly kept trying to push me back.

"I'm not… losing control… of this situation…", I grabbed hold of the structure with my left hand and slowly lifted my other hand. "…This time!"

With all the strength gathered within me, I forcefully lifted my right palm away from the structure. A bright bubble followed suit right after that and the lights from the rectangular object faded.

A hidden gleam sparked in my eye as I waved my hand once, "Dissipate!"

The bubble immediately burst into tiny droplets.

"This should do it"

My vision changed to the exterior; all movements from Sek had seized.

Did it work?

Sek slowly stood up from the ground and pulled his blade from one of the enemy's corpse.

"Sek? –"

Just when I was about to say something else, he suddenly spat out what seemed to be a limb from his recent victim.

"Fuck! What was that!?", he covered his mouth and hunched slightly while stealing a glance at me. "Dzinu, are you the one who snapped me out of it?"

"Of course", I promptly replied.

Sek replied with a weary smile, "Seems like I owe you one, again."

Bloodcurdling screeches erupted from the monster plants that surrounded us as their stems looked like they were beginning to open once again.

"Tsk", Sek's grip on his weapon tightened. "They keep coming."

Vines shot out from the plants. However, it seemed like we weren't their targets.

The creatures which came from within those plants were pierced by the vines and their bodies immediately pulled back into the stems of the litzizi plants.

"Huh?", Sek raised an eyebrow.

Lights slowly emanated from the plants and soon, we were surrounded by a faint blanket of light.

[Dzilaiza: Incoming voice transmission]

[Voice: Sek, seems like things have gotten a bit downhill on your side huh]

The voice…

It was familiar

"Sedem?", the device in Sek's ear glowed blue as he spoke. "Perfect! Send us one of the mini ships!"

[Voice: Don't worry about that. It should arrive in 15 minutes]

"15 minutes? Aren't they faster than that!?"

[Voice: Of course but then, a task has been laid out before your pickup arrives. I've sent the details to both Shyza and Olivia]

Sek's voice darkened, "A task?"

[Voice: …Yes. Lord William's orders. The Queen Litzizi gathers all the resources from the planet and converts it to neo shard energy. Half of the energy is used to cause self-detonation and the other half distributes energy to the individual seeds in its stem]

"Self-detonation", my wielder muttered. "Explains the planetary devastation timer"

[Voice: Exactly, and you have just 30 minutes until that happens. Hurry]

Sedem's voice ceased, leaving an uncomfortable silence.

"Sek? Are you okay?", my voice seeped into his overactive mind.

He seemed to be thinking about the others; Shyza and Olivia. Also, Sir. William's actions seemed to push Sek deeper into his thoughts.

I had to snap him back to reality before it was too late…

"Dzinu", he suddenly spoke as he turned in the direction of the enormous tree in the centre of the forest. "Let's hurry and get the heck outta here."

"Uh-", I paused for a moment. "Right. But how?"

Sek began to sprint towards the queen litzizi's direction.

"Dzilaiza provided me with the details of the task", he answered. "Any part of the alien would do."

"I see"

"Of course. Before that…", he pressed the device in his left ear. "Dzilaiza, pin-point Shyza's location!"

[Dzilaiza: Affirmative. Pinpointing…]

[Action complete; target it at a reducing distance below ground]

Sek stopped in his tracks, "Underground?"

*BOOM!*

An incredible large root emerged from right beneath our feet as the queen litzizi pulled itself up from the ground.

Several figures also moved out from the ground as it collapsed under the force.

The rumbling ground almost knocked Sek off his feet as he held on to the stem of a nearby plant.

Luckly, they were too busy transferring their resources to the queen to notice him.

"What are those?", his eyes remained fixed on the figures that burst forth from below. "The creatures from before?"

Yes

They did look like the ones from before; those that poured out of the alien plants' bellies.

But something was different about them. They were terrified and their actions were more life-like as compared to the dead-like ones we encountered before.

Were those creatures always underground?

"Tch, it doesn't matter", Sek began to scale the large root. "We're heading forward."

[Dzilaiza: Targets are now on ground level. Position - northwest]

Sek's eyes gleamed in a cold blue hue as his speed picked up.

It didn't take long before I felt two familiar auras in the distance.

The alien plants put no effort in stopping Sek as he weaved through their thorny vines and branches.

Soon, both Shyza and Olivia's auras took shape in my mind.

They were both between two of the queen litzizi's enormous roots. It didn't look good…

"Sek! Behind that root! It looks like they are surrounded by those creatures from before!", my voice zapped into his mind.

Just then, his suit began to ripple towards his right palm and a weapon formed in it.

[Dzilaiza: Plasma gun activated. Mode set - Carnage]

Sek pressed his foot onto the grassy root, punching a dense hole in it and lunging high up into the air.

There they were!

*Mlneeer!*

Screeching noises suddenly scratched the air as one of the flying creatures zoomed towards us at high speed.

"I don't think so", I began to surround my metallic sheen with moon energy as it got closer.

-Invisible-

The creature slipped right through Sek, crashing headfirst into the thick, hard root and leaving only a lump puddle of flesh.

Sek, unfazed by the earlier attack, aimed his weapon at the creatures that surrounded both Shyza and Olivia.

*Bang!*

Powerful beams of energy rained down on every one of the enemies and instantly left them in cinders.

Shyza and Olivia turned in our direction as Sek landed powerfully into the muddy ground.

Muddy ground?

Tiny pattering sounds erupted from my metallic sheath as rain droplets mercilessly pounded the planet.

Huh

I didn't notice any rainclouds. Still, if Sek ever needed to unleash a sword-wielder technique, it was going to be a problem since most of the moon's light was blocked.

Shyza took a step forward; there was some kind of hesitancy in her demeanour.

"Sekky?"

Sek's eyes fluctuated between blue and black, "Shyza!"

"Sekky!", tears flowed down the little girl's cheeks as she rushed into her big brother's arms. "I was so scared!"

"It's okay now, I'm here", Sek stroke her short hair.

It was quite the warm sight even amidst the danger we were in.

However…

Olivia's sudden flinch caught my attention. Her eyes glowed briefly as a pair of bright lights sparkled right beside her left ear.

The device in Sek's ear also began to glow.

[Dzilaiza: Warning! 10 minutes until planetary devastation]
