Morning
5:00 AM
Atlas woke up. After their job last night both him and Flint were exhausted.
Atlas turned his head to Flint's bed, this time he'll really wake this fatty up in order to avoid being late.
"HEY! FATTY WAKE UP!!!" Atlas shouted at Flint's ear.
Flint was roused from his deep sleep after hearing that shout.
"Darn it Atlas I was about to kiss a beauty in my dreams! Why did you wake me up!" Flint blamed Atlas
"Come on! You took so long to get ready okay! This time we should have our breakfast!" Atlas said to Flint after remembering the torturous yesterday where they spent a half-day without eating breakfast.
"I'll go first!" Atlas said as he rushed to the bathroom.
"Aish!" Flint said in annoyance.
6:30 AM
Both of them are ready to go.
When they opened the door and was about to step out, the opposite door opened as well.
"Are you eating breakfast?" Beatrice asked after seeing both of them ready to go out in their school uniform.
"Yeah!" Flint answered after he got out of the room.
"Let's go together then!" She said as she looks at Alia and Atlas with a weird look.
She runs beside Flint and gave him her bag.
"Carry it, you're my slave right?" Beatrice said to Flint.
Flint just carried it and immediately followed behind Beatrice like a butler.
Both Alia and Atlas were left behind.
*Silence*
An awkward silence filled the atmosphere as Flint and Beatrice left the two of them alone.
"U-Uhm S-so-sorry a-b-bout what happened yesterday!" Atlas said as he bows his body 90 degrees.
Just thinking about the flying kick Fred received yesterday sent shivers to his whole body.
"…" Alia, she just ignored Atlas walked forward.
She doesn't know why but she really hates Atlas now.
Seeing Alia left him, he immediately tried to walk behind her, just in case, she'd be lost again.
And it seems like he's correct, Alia is now again confused which turn to take.
Atlas was about to tell but he decided against it in the end, he just walked forward so that Alia will know where to go.
As expected Alia followed him, he can't help himself from smiling seeing how cute Alia is despite her cold face.
After a few minutes of walking, they reached the cheap-looking restaurant.
"Hey chubs, you're here!" Shirley the waitress waved at Flint upon seeing him walking towards the restaurant.
"Hey beauty! Good Morning!" Flint said to Shirley after a day of working here at the restaurant they are already close to each.
Upon hearing this greeting of Flint to Shirley Beatrice couldn't help but feel sour about it.
'Beauty? Where is that? Tsk' Beatrice thought to herself while looking at Shirley and Flint sourly.
She entered the restaurant and left behind Flint who was still talking to Shirley.
"Hey! Fatty come on!" Beatrice changed her mind in leaving Flint to Shirley all alone.
'He has my bag that's it! That's why I'm calling him! Yes! That's it nothing more!' Beatrice convinced herself
"Oh, okay hey beauty let's talk later at night! I need to serve my master first" Flint said the last phrase whisperingly
Shirley couldn't help but laugh at Flint's statement.
All that Beatrice heard was the words "later at night" and Shirley's flirty giggle. What comes to her head as a conclusion is definitely not a good thing.
She couldn't help but feel sour about it so she pulled Flint who was carrying her bag in the restaurant.
After Atlas and Alia arrived at the restaurant, they saw Flint and Beatrice already seated in a table for four persons.
The breakfast goes smoothly, with Beatrice feeling sour about what happened earlier and Alia who was annoyed at Flint for unknown reasons.
The poor boys are eating normally not knowing the issues of the girls.
7:30 am
They've finished the breakfast; this time Beatrice and Alia are walking together while Flint and Atlas were left at the back.
7:45 am
They've arrived at their classroom, knowing their mistakes yesterday Flint and Atlas are already familiar with the way to their classroom while Alia vowed to always be with Beatrice to avoid getting lost again.
The group of 4 seated at the back row but this time they have 2 seats in between.
Beatrice-Alia-Vacant-Vacant-Flint-Atlas
For unknown reasons, Beatrice and Alia decided to put these 2 seats in between them and the boys.
"Atlas do you know what's happening?" Flint asked Atlas upon seeing the 2 vacant seats.
"I don't know as well! Maybe you did something again to Beatrice!" Atlas blamed Flint
"I don't remember anything! Nothing at all!" Flint said he was getting a headache just by trying to understand just what is happening.
'Girl's mind is truly a marvel! No scientific research can solve them' Flint said in his head
Atlas was about to reply when their Professor entered the class.
"Good Morning class," The professor said.
"Good morning sir!" The class replied after seeing the professor.
He appears to be in his mid-'20s definitely younger than most of the Professor here at the University. The class' attention was drawn to him because aside from being young he also has this charming aura around him, he smiles with his eyes, and a dimple on his cheeks. He's definitely the type of professor every girl wants to have.
"Good Morning I'm Engr. Suarez a mechanical engineer to be exact and I'll be teaching you – PHYSICS!" Engr. Suarez said as he brushed up his hair and smiled while saying the word Physics.
"I love physics, do you guys love it as well?" Engr. Suarez asked the class.
"…" the class was in tactic understand not to answer that tricky question.
They've been misled by that question every year where the teacher would say that their subject is easy but it's actually comparable to hell in difficulty, especially calculus!
"Well, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, you'll gradually learn to love it just like someone who liked you for a very long time you won't like them at first but you'll gradually learn to love them in the end!"
"Physics is the foundation of engineering so I can confidently say that engineering is all about physics! It's just that the level of your understanding will determine your skills as an engineer. As an engineering student, it is important for you to understand physics to the core as if it's on the back of your palm. Holding physics is like holding the world itself!"
"Aside from the medical industry, we are the most important industry in the world because what we create is the world itself."
"Us engineers created the world you are living now, full of technology and comfort, but the real reason why we are doing this is not for comfort!"
"We create solutions to modern problems that's why we have created this world you are now standing on"
"I dare not to say that we created the world all by ourselves but our contribution to the growth and development of society isn't something anyone can belittle. So hold your chins up! For you will be one of us in the near future, but before solving real-life problems answer physics problems first" Engr. Suarez said
The class chuckled what their professor said, but none the less their passion was ignited. Imagining the world they would create in the future.
Especially Atlas who was now in his dreamland imagining all sorts of things he would like to create.
'Passionate huh?' the old man emerged from his consciousness
'Well, what sir said is definitely something to passionate about' Atlas replied, he's not surprised by the old man's sudden emergence as he's already used to it.
'He's not wrong but is not completely right either, you'll know it in the future I don't want to ruin your dreams son!' the old quickly left after saying that.
'Whatever old gramps I'll prove it to you in the future!' Atlas vowed to himself as he turned his attention to the class.
"So, let's start by answering my examples first to see whether you can still remember your high school physics lessons!" Engr. Suarez said
"Question no. 1: An jet plane accelerates down a runway at 3.20 m/s2 for 32.8 s until it finally lifts off the ground. Determine the distance traveled before takeoff. Go!" Engr. Suarez said
'Hey old gramps how can I use my rubrics cube to solve this!' Atlas asked the old man in his consciousness
'Use your brain this time don't rely on this rubrics cube it's so easy to solve!' the old man said to Atlas after seeing him rely on the rubrics cube completely.
'The only thing that won't betray you is your own skills remember this kid, take it as an advice from a man who was betrayed before!' the old man said as he reminisced his past.
Before Atlas could reply Alia already said the answer.
"1720 m," Alia said in confidence
'How!??!' Atlas was dumbfounded after hearing Alia
'Did she just compute it mentally' Atlas asked in his head after seeing that there's no paper in Alia's desk
'Yeah she computed it mentally, it's actually easy! When I was your age I can do that as well! There's nothing to brag about it!' the old man said to Atlas as if what Alia just did is completely normal.
'Teach me how!' Atlas urged the old man to teach him
'Now that's the spirit! Teaching it to you will be fine but it's not easy to learn I'll teach you it to you later, for now, use the rubrics cube. My successor can't be left behind by someone okay! I need my successor to be the best!' the old man replied to Atlas
'When the teacher asked a question simply say 'evaluate' and It'll give you the answer' the old man instructed
The class's reaction is the same with Atlas they are asking how the heck did she do that!
"It seems like we have an empress here huh?" Engr. Suarez said as he looks at Alia in surprise
"Okay, next question! A truck starts from rest and accelerates uniformly over a time of 5.21 seconds for a distance of 110 m. Determine the acceleration of the truck. Go!" Engr. Suarez asked one more
This time Atlas is prepared
'Evaluate' he commanded

'Woah!' the room was sent to uproar!
Atlas and Alia looked at each other with sparks in their eyes!
No one seems to be afraid of the other.
Engr. Suarez decided to test the limit of these two odd students of his.
'Let's see until when will you last' Engr, Suarez thought in his head as he prepares a ton of questions.
"No. 3: A soft feather is dropped on the moon from a height of 1.40 meters. The acceleration of gravity on the moon is 1.67 m/s2. Determine the time for the feather to fall to the surface of the moon."
"1.29 s," the both of them said at the same time
"Correct!"
"Go, Alia!" "Go Atlas!" Just as Alia and Atlas were busy in their own competition, their best friends entered a cheering competition as well.
"Hmph!" Beatrice and Flint smirked hissed at each other
"Go Alia!" "Go Atlas!"
…
"No. 8: A civil engineer is designing the runway for an airport. Of the planes that will use the airport, the lowest acceleration rate is likely to be 3 m/s2. The takeoff speed for this plane will be 65 m/s. Assuming this minimum acceleration, what is the minimum allowed length for the runway?"
"28.6 m"
"Correct!"
…
"No. 13: A kangaroo is capable of jumping to a height of 2.62 m. Determine the takeoff speed of the said kangaroo."
"7.17 m/s"
"Correct!"

The contest was getting crazy and both Atlas and Alia were determined to win this contest. Every time they would say the answer the class would cheer for them. The class is anticipating the final result of this unprecedented contest.

"No. 16: Lawrence is riding the Giant Drop at Great America. If Lawrence free falls for 2.60 seconds, what will be his final velocity and how far will he fall? Go!"
"25.5 m/s and 33.1 m in downward motion!"
"-25.5 m/s and -33.1 m"
*Silence*
This time the solution of the two genius are not the same.
The class was anticipating whose correct and whose wrong they looked at their professor asking for an answer!
*Thump Thump*
The class was silent still, they can even hear their own heartbeats as they wait for the final judgment.
"Uhm…" Engr. Suarez intentionally teased the class
"Both of them are correct, Alia said the answers are positive but she indicated that the direction of motion is downward while Atlas said the answers are negative, take note of this class: negative in motions indicate directions." Engr. Suarez said
'It's a tie!' the class lamented
"But in the future, I hope to see negative on your solutions instead of a phrase like "motion is downward" because it will confuse you if there are follow up solutions. Understood?" Engr. Suarez said as he unknowingly announced the winner of the mini-contest.
'Stutter won!'
'Woah!'
Alia who heard the statement of their professor couldn't help but glare at Atlas.
Atlas smiled smugly after hearing his unofficial won.
'Don't be smug you fool remember you used the rubrics cube while she used her brain!' the old man warned him
'Oh sorry, I think I'm getting influenced by Fatty Flint' Atlas said apologetically after hearing the warning of the old man
'Indeed she used her brain while I cheated It couldn't be counted as a win' Atlas thought in his head
"Okay that's all for now, nice meeting you class, nice meeting you Emperor and Empress" Engr. Suarez said as he goes out of the room.
"Good Grace just how did you compute all that Bud!" Flint was still in shock after seeing that legendary battle said.
"I've just read about it" Atlas used his lame excuse again
