12:00 AM
"Wait, let's ask sister Kathleen, sis let's go eat together!" Sophia ran towards Alia's side and hold her hands while smiling sweetly.
"Go ahead!" Alia said coldly, but deep inside she wants Atlas to ask her out, sadly Atlas didn't.
"Hey, Sophia let's go already!" Atlas said because after hearing Alia's cold voice he thought that she's probably in a bad mood. He asked Sophia to go with him already because he's afraid they'll only make her angry. What he didn't know was he made a very wrong decision.
*Swish*
Alia pulled her hands from Sophia grasp forcefully.
Sophia teared up after noticing Alia's cold treatment. Earlier she noticed that Alia was left alone because Flint and Beatrice left while Atlas goes to the library, she immediately went towards Alia's side to talk to her but she ignored her. And now Alia forcefully pulled her hand out of Sophia's hands making her sad.
Sophia just ran towards Atlas's side and grabbed his arms to seek comfort. They proceeded to the canteen leaving Alia all alone. All Alia could do was watch them as they exit the classroom, she was a little bit hoping that Atlas would ask her despite her refusal but Atlas didn't, it was even he who asked Sophia to go immediately without considering her.
Atlas and Sophia arrived at the canteen, Sophia was still feeling a little bit upset about how Alia treats her, but Atlas who has the lowest EQ of all doesn't know this. He was oblivious to the fact that he just made Alia upset by leaving her and he doesn't know what Sophia is feeling right now, he thought that Sophia was just hungry that's why she's silent.
He immediately found a vacant table and seated there together with Sophia. He was seated in front of Sophia facing the vendors, while Sophia was facing the entrance. Flint and Beatrice are still missing in action, Atlas didn't bother finding the two of them because he's really hungry. Despite having energy provided by the Rubrics cube, eating still something he can't neglect because aside from the satisfaction he gets after being full, his stomach still needs food to digest because if not he'll get a stomachache.
"Hey! What do you want to eat?" Atlas asked the silent Sophia.
"Anything Atlas" Sophia replied.
"Hey, call me Big brother! You said you're just 14 yrs old!" Atlas complained after hearing her.
"Yeah, yeah, ATLAS!" Sophia teased him as she pulled out her tongue to annoy Atlas. Her cheerful side was back again.
"You- !" Atlas said but he cut it off after seeing Sophia ran towards the vendors to order foods. Her two ponytails were jumping as if it was dancing as she runs. Her cuteness managed to grab the attention of the students inside the canteen.
"Auntie! How much for this?" Sophia asked with excitement in her voice. It was her first-time ordering food shed eat of course she'll be excited about it.
The vendor couldn't help but smile after seeing Sophia, well who wouldn't? Sophia has soul-stirring innocent eyes and coupled with her cute appearance, anyone would fall for her.
"It's forty pesos, my dear!" The vendor replied to Sophia sweetly.
"Aunt how much for this?" This time it was Atlas who asked, after seeing Sophia ran earlier he immediately followed her.
"Can't you line up? I'm still serving this young lady over here!" The once sweet auntie vendor was gone all of a sudden after hearing Atlas. That's because this store is first come first serve so the customers need to line up, and Atlas indeed appears to be rude by asking despite seeing the vendor still in the process of getting Sophia's order.
"Auntie he's my big brother, he'll treat me!" Sophia said after seeing the predicament Atlas was facing. Atlas looked at Sophia gratefully while Sophia just winked at him.
They've managed to get their food they've ordered the same food but comparing the portion of their food, the food that the vendor gave Sophia appears to be more than what Atlas received. Atlas couldn't help but feel envious. Sophia received more food because the vendor finds her cute.
They managed to eat their lunch but because Sophia can't finish all the food the vendor gave her, she gave it to Atlas who gladly accepted it.
They were about to exit the canteen when Sophia asked Atlas to wait for a moment because she'll just buy some snacks.
"Why do you still need snacks? You can't even finish your food earlier and now you want to buy more?" Atlas asked
"It's for Sis Kathleen! You dumb big brother" Sophia answered. Only now did he noticed that he hadn't seen Alia eat her lunch inside the canteen.
After Sophia bought the foods the two of them went back to the classroom where they saw Alia sleeping in her desk. Atlas couldn't help but feel guilty about not inviting her for lunch.
Sophia immediately took the seat beside Alia carrying the foods she bought inside a plastic bag. She was about to open her mouth to wake Alia up but Alia already noticed her arrival. Alia thought it was Beatrice that's why she immediately straighten her body but she was disappointed to see that it was Sophia only.
Alia was about to go back to sleep but she was stopped by Sophia.
"Big Sis! I bought you some food, here!" Sophia said with her cute smile as she offered the foods she bought earlier to Alia.
"Go away I don't need it!" Alia shoo her away coldly then she bows down to her desk to continue sleeping. She was actually hungry if it was others who offered the food she would thank them but it's from Sophia so she'd rather die from hunger than to eat what Sophia gave her. She doesn't really like Sophia from the start and she thinks that Sophia is an attention seeker brat who loves to be adored because she's a spoiled brat.
Sophia's good intention was returned with a cold treatment once again, it was the first time that someone is doing this to her. She couldn't but teared up a little bit then she stood up and took a seat beside Atlas who saw everything that happened. Sophia rest her head on her desk and surrounded her head with her arms.
Atlas doesn't know what to do, Alia was always rude like that so he's used to it but he can't help but feel a little bit angry at what Alia just did. He saw the effort of Sophia but Alia would always refuse her.
"Kathleen! I've brought foods for you!" Alia heard a familiar coy voice she lifted up her head and to her delight, it was Beatrice finally. She smiled as Beatrice hugged her tight, 'Finally!' she exclaimed in her head. Beatrice is the first friend she ever had that's why she's so happy that Beatrice is finally here.
"Where did you go?" Alia and Atlas asked at the same time.
"We went to the club office, I was tasked to be the first-year representative and we prepared for the upcoming club meeting. I need my slave there to write for me that's why I pulled Flint together with me." Beatrice answered.
"I just came by because I thought you'd need your best friend to bring you some food, you'll probably get lost on the way to the canteen, right? And you'd be too shy to go with Atlas of course" Beatrice said the last statement whisperingly only for her and Alia to hear.
