"Philosopher Stone? You mean the stone, that alchemist used to turn dirt into gold?"
"Yep, exactly, however, the art of Alchemy has gone missing throughout the world for many millennia. However, the many sub-branches of Alchemy have become, very popular throughout the world. Such as puppeteering, which is a form of Alchemy."
"I see, so it's isn't exactly that the prospects of using Alchemy are diminishing, but the fact, that the basics such as elemental conversion isn't popular anymore."
"Yes, since mana infused metals are much better and easier to use than basic Iron, which can be made from Alchemy, or Alloys."
"Oh, so you're saying that since technology has improved mining for metals is much more efficient than converting metals from dirt?"
"Well basically, it's the main gist since converting roughly 10 pounds of dirt will net the alchemist only a pound of Iron and much less for stronger metals or alloys. It also takes roughly a day for this process to occur."
So what Sticky is getting at is that conversion of elements is old school and slow. However, what is the case in my scenario? Since mine is basically instantaneous and use's whatever, I desire to be converted.
"However, the philosopher stone is a tool that can greatly accelerate the process of transmuting. However, that still doesn't make it instantaneous such as in your case. It also doesn't make much sense, as transmuting requires a large amount of energy."
"My talent/skill also allows me to be able to infuse my mana into the thing that I am transmuting."
"Yes, that is a very peculiar situation that you are in since, your body is definitely not strong enough to power the entire process. So where does the energy needed to power the transmutation come from?"
"I-"
"That's enough talking about this subject, for now, we'll learn more about your skill as you get stronger."
"Ah, ok, so what should we do now?"
"I've read through your mind and you have a skill that lets you observe objects and view their power. It appears that I am such an object that can be observed and used by you. Although, I don't exactly approve you should check my so-called 'Status'."
'Ah, shoot I completely forgot that I could do that, but does that mean I could transmute another Sticky? Wait, didn't waking Sticky use up my Mana several million times and health?'
"Yes, I don't recommend creating another me, at least anytime soon. As by the definition of your skill, I am a mana infused object, as well as health infused object."
I promptly gave up on the idea of transmuting Sticky since I would die in the process of trying. However, it is extremely tempting to, transmute Sticky in real life. But the chances of me dying is definitely 100%, since I don't even know if my real body has Man-.
Can't I just learn the property of Mana and my in-game character and transmute that into my real body?
Since that would give my body a much stronger physique and allow me to handle staying within a vacuum without killing myself. Hopefully.
I decided to put that on the back burner since I have yet to understand how this world works and the properties of Mana.
I finally decided to take a look at the Stats of Sticky.
[Rejuvenated Magical Stick (Sticky) - System Grade]
Soul bound
Indestructible, however, is susceptible to Mana lacking environments, (may lose intelligence and power if, Mana environment is insufficient.)
Doubles all stats (1x effect)
Increase Casting Speed by 10x and reduces cooldown by 50%.
Increase Health and Mana regeneration by 500%.
Increase Health and Mana pool by 1/2 (level * vitality) for Health and 1/2 (level*intelligence+agility) for Mana.
Increase all damage by 100%.
Sentinel being. Copies user stats and can be used to attack and defend has the same health pool and mana as the user, however, can not die. Will be returned to the user's soul upon suffering fatal damage. Require's 1 natural day to recover upon "death".
Physical Attack damage = Strength+(Level * 10) * 2.
"Shit...Sticky your OP af."
"OF af? I don't understand, but I can tell from your emotions that you are impressed with my power."
I checked my stats to see what they were now.
Stats:
Level 10
Health - 4980/4980
Energy - 14850/14850
Strength - 826
Agility - 987 (I forgot to calculate a few title stats... Whoops)
Dexterity - 736
Vitality - 468
Intelligence - 478
Fortitude - 468
(Plus 6 to all stats per level)
Stat Points - 0 (Plus 25 per level)
Copper 200
10 - Silver, 58 - Copper
Estimated Raw Damage - 1852
Health Regen = Vitality/100 per second(4.78) +1000% = 52.58 per second out of combat, and (divided by 5) 10.516 in combat per second.
Energy Regen = Intelligence + Agility/100 per second(14.65) +1000% = 161.15 per second out of combat, and (divided by 5) 32.23 in combat per second.
Power Level = 3963 (Total Stats)
I saw 3 new lines in my stats, which were Health Regen, Energy Regen, and Power Level?
Was this what the developer added, during their maintenance time period? At this point, I noticed a bright white word above Sticky.
[Power Level - N/A]
I quickly transmuted a mirror a saw a white glowing word above my head.
[Power Level - 3963]
"How did I not notice this earlier? Am I really that blind to change?"
"Notice what?"
"Ahh, whoops, nothing important."
"Whatever you say... Anyways I've developed a plan for you to grow stronger using my knowledge of this Earth before, I lost my connection with my Mother."
"For now, since, we don't have any good ways of searching for treasures in this library and since we have already set a waypoint here. We should head out and grow stronger, by killing wild beasts and monsters."
"Now my question for you is? Do you wish to grow stronger with your friends or by yourself? It is clear that by growing stronger with your friends, your growth speed will be reduced by nearly 100%. So do you wish you grow with your friends or by yourself?"
This was certainly a hard question since the average power level of a level 10 player would be roughly 100-200 considering that equipment is very strong in this game. While mine is nearly 10x that amount, it would definitely be a hassle to have to carry both of my friends through this phase, until they won't be dead weight.
"Hey sticky, is it possible for me to transmute equipment that could make both of my friends stronger?"
I knew it was possible to transmute equipment, however, I don't know if they would come with the proper attributes and stats of the original equipment.
"Hmm, if you truly wish to do that. Have your friends reach a power level of 500, as equipment, will require a certain power level to wear. When they reach that point, you can transmute equipment for them to wear that would boost their power level to roughly a thousand."
"At that point, although they wouldn't be as strong as you, they wouldn't exactly be dead weight."
"Ok, I'll take that route, hold up let me VC the guys."
[VC sent to A__Hawk and ShadowSyther]
[VC accepted...]
"Yo, what's up guys."
"Andy, you done, talking to yourself?"
"Uh, yeah, I'm done. What have you guys done during these past few hours?"
"Dan and I both reached level 10, did you notice we have power levels now? It appears it was added last night, I don't know how I didn't notice until a few moments ago though."
"Yeah, what are your guy's power levels?"
"Mine is 365, Dan's is 413. We had also met Christina and Sahasra in-game, they are level 8 and their power levels are 79 and 61."
Hmm, Sam and Dan are growing at a faster rate than average players, that's good to know, hopefully, they won't end up as dead weight soon.
"Right, can all 4 of you guys reach a power level of at least 500, by tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow? It's possible for me and Dan, but for Chris and Sahasra I don't know, their equipment is really lacking. Oh yeah, what's your power level?"
"Uh...3963..."
"..."
"We're going grinding, I'll talk to you later..."
[VC has ended.]
"Yeesh, maybe I should've lied about my power level..."
"Oh yeah, Sticky, why do you even want my friends to reach a power level of 500?"
"There's a monster den, oh I mean dungeon according to Gaia, that needs a party of 5 to complete. If your friends reach a power level of 500, they will be strong enough to reap benefits from the dungeon. Otherwise, they wouldn't gain much, and you would gain more than 90% of the rewards from the dungeon."
"Oh, I see, so where do I go grinding now Sticky?"
"Hmm, let me think...How about we go grinding-"
