1 – Magic

In the city of London, in a relatively luxurious home, a man and his wife read a book while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace flames.

In the cabinet on the left, it was possible to see several photos, some of them in some kind of graduation, greeting influential people, wearing lab coats as if they were scientists and receiving awards like the Nobel Prize in Chemistry from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Bourke Award from the Royal Chemical Society, etc.

But in the most recent photos, you can see a happy baby being carried, taken to the playground, participating in picnics and family activities, growing up in a handsome and well-mannered little boy, only 7 years old!

His name is Andrew Jacobs, his father William Jacobs and his mother Sara Jacobs are two wizards, not very powerful, but definitely wealthy, their prestige in the Muggle world is only less than that of figures like Marie Curie, Dimitri Mendeleiev and Ernest Rutherford.

In the wizarding world, however, their fame isn't very good, his family is often called "Blood traitors" a derogatory term commonly used by elite pure-blood wizarding families to describe witches or wizards who sympathize with the non-magical community or willingly associate with other such sympathizers or with Muggle-borns.

The night was calm and cozy, but that soon changed, as the Jacobs enjoyed their books, in the upstairs room, where young Andrew was, strange things started to happen.

He was sleeping peacefully when a strange sound woke him, looking around, everything seemed normal, however, he noticed an anomaly, one of his toys, a small soccer ball, was floating a few meters from him.

Surprised by the unexpected event, he held out his hand, trying to grab the ball, and as if it understood what he wanted, the ball floated up to him and landed on his hand.

He was looking at the ball trying to understand what happened, unfortunately, a few seconds after looking at it. An explosion of information popped into his mind, causing him to fall on his bed and cry in pain.

The moment this happened, several objects in his room began to float and spin around him, forming a type of tornado, each time one of these objects hit the wall, a loud sound spread through the house.

Realizing the commotion, William and Sara, cast a barrier to prevent the sound escaping from their home and ran to their son's room.

Sara looked at the "hurricane" around her son and started to worry about her son's safety.

"William, what's going on, is he doing this?" Sara pointed her wand at her son, preparing to cast a protective spell on him.

"I'm not sure, but it should be him, my spell didn't detect any other wizard nearby."

"Then what should we do !? I don't want him to get hurt!"

"Okay, stay calm!" William pointed his wand at his son and used a weaker version of [Sleep bewitched], with just enough power to make him sleep peacefully.

As soon as he did this, everything returned to normal, with a single flick of his wand, all objects returned to their original position.

Seeing her son sleeping, Sara sighed with relief, sitting on the bed, she kissed his forehead and whispered good night in his ear.

Returning to the living room, they sat down and said nothing for a few minutes.

Sarah couldn't stand the silence and decided to speak first.

"William, how powerful is our son? Did you feel his magic? What's going on? I never felt anything like this!"

William looked at the ceiling for a moment, before answering.

"Well ... there may be a reason for that, but I don't know how we should deal with this situation."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, it started with my old grandfather, he used to tell me some bedtime stories, about legends and influential people in our family over the centuries, he said a lot of nonsense things and I was sure that most were just his imagination, but there was one thing he always tried to prove was true, no matter how I refuted it. "

Sara looked at him with interest in her eyes.

"The old man liked to talk about a prophecy about our family, he used to say: 'In the future, in the most unexpected moments, the true heir of our ancestor, Merlin, will reveal his power and potential, and from that moment he will begin to change the wizarding world in a way that no living thing could ever predict! ', I never believed in any of this because there was no record of Merlin having descendants, but now ... "

Sara pondered for a moment and said.

"Do you think this is the reason why our son is such a talented student? Being able to remember all the words from all the books he has read, as well as the page and its position, learning to speak when he was just 1 year old, being able to understand even the most difficult of subjects."

William looked at her and shooked his head.

"I don't know, maybe you're right. I don't like prophecies, I hope this is just a coincidence, otherwise, I don't want to start thinking of how many dangers our son will have to face..."

While William and Sara talked about their son's fate.

In his mind, Andrew was walking through some kind of library, every time he touched a book, a lot of knowledge was printed in his mind, but he didn't do it on purpose, it was all unconsciously as if it was natural.

He only stopped after a few hours, when he touched all the books inside the library, then he sat on some kind of mat, in the lotus position.

The moment he did this, a kind of fog started to accumulate and swirl around him, after a while drops of an unknown liquid started to fall on his head, the drop followed the outline of his head until it reached his mouth where it was sucked.

Every time that happened, a warming feeling would surge and spread through his body, making him feel as comfortable as if hugging his mother.

This process was repeated a hundred times and after the last one, he could hear some kind of explosion inside his head, and with it, came the feeling of boundless strength and energy!

Soon after, a wave of weakness hit him, making him fall asleep.

...

The next day, when the first ray of light passed through the window, Andrew opened his eyes and got up, after yawning, he warmed up by doing some simple exercises and couldn't help but smile, for some reason, he was feeling extremely well.

This feeling couldn't compare to anything he had felt before, being in a good mood, he decided to take a shower, however, the moment he touched the door handle that led to the bathroom. The thing broke and easily came out of the door as if it hadn't been screwed before.

Scared of what happened, he shouted.

"Mom, can you come here?"

"What is it, honey? Did something happen?"

"Mon, don't call me that, I'm not a kid anymore!"

She laughed at his comment and kissed him on the cheek.

"So, why did you call me?"

Andrew then pointed to the door handle in his hands and the hole in the door where it should have been.

Seeing the broken pieces of wood, she realized that the handle was removed with physical force instead of a spell.

"What happened?"

"Are you mad at me?" He looked at her with watery eyes.

She then hugged him and said, "No, now tell me, how did that happen?"

He looked down and started to explain how it happened, Sara pondered about his words and decided that she needed to tell this to her husband.

"It's okay my little sunshine, now come with mommy, I need your daddy's opinion on the matter."

After some time explaining everything to William, he looked at his son and said.

"Hey, champion, do you want to do an experiment with daddy?"

"What kind of experiment?"

"The kind where you try to lift something heavy. If you manage to do it, daddy will give you a chocolate bar."

With a smile on his face, Andrew accepted the challenge and followed his father into the garage.

Once there, William put Andrew on a chair and asked him to wait while he looked for something.

Having nothing to do, Andrew looked around, trying to see something interesting. The garage was relatively clean, the car was not there because a friend of his father borrowed it for some reason.

A few moments later, his father was back and carrying three different boxes.

"Okay, let's do this, I want you to try to lift each of these boxes, starting with the first one on the left."

Nodding, Andrew got up and tried to lift the box, the first was easy, it weighed almost nothing.

The second was heavier, but Andrew had no trouble lifting it.

The third box was very heavy, he only managed to lift it a few inches above the floor and had to drop it.

With a smile, William gave his son a chocolate bar and told him to go out and take a shower after eating.

Soon after, Sara entered the garage and closed the door so Andrew could not hear.

"So, what did you find out?"

"The magic inside him is somehow improving his body, making him stronger, healthier and probably improving all his biological processes as well, I imagine that if he cut himself, for example, the wound would heal very quickly."

Sara looked at William with confusion on her face.

"Is that really possible?"

"With him? Yeah."
