CHAPTER 2 - DIAGON ALLEY

4 years later

Andrew was in his room reading his father's books that he used when studying at Hogwarts years ago. Since his father and mother discovered their son's talent, they have finally started teaching him magic and things related to the wizarding world.

They thought it was funny that their son sometimes came up with some really strange ideas for spells, little did they know that those ideas came from the memories that popped into his head the moment he acquired his magic.

These spell ideas went from creating clones to forging items using only magic! Although some of them his father thought possible, others he simply dismissed it saying that, even if it was possible, he couldn't even imagine where to start.

Ever since Andrew awoke his magic, every time he slept, he repeated the process of meditating and drinking a hundred drops of the unknown liquid in his dreams.

Although on the outside almost nothing seemed to change, besides his strength growing with each passing month, his magic became much more powerful and concentrated, he was basically twice as powerful as when he awoke his magic, the reason for that is basically every time his magic became three or more times stronger than originally, for some reason, his body automatically melted all of his magic, making it much more concentrated, but also in less quantity.

However, it also gave him much better control of his magic than other people would normally have, and although he couldn't do wandless magic, he could lift distant objects and control them using the power within him and could communicate using only his mind, his father would usually joke by saying that Andrew is Professor X, a character in one of the boy's favorite comics (X-MEN) named Charles Xavier.

Thanks to the help of his parents and all the books available, he was able to study the entire content of the first three years, the only reason he didn't go further was the fact that he wanted to study some subjects that were not taught at Hogwarts such as forging of magic artifacts, and alchemy, his parents had to buy some books by Nicolau Flamel and the Goblins, as they were the real experts on the subject, although it cost a lot to convince the famous alchemist to sell some books with real knowledge on the subject.

When Andrew finished reading the book in his hands and almost took the next one, his mother opened the room and gave him a coat.

"Wha-"

Before the boy could finish, his mother interrupted him and said.

"Put your coat on and come to the living room, I have two surprises for you!" His mother kissed him on the cheek and went down the stairs.

'How unexpected.' he put on his coat and went down to see what his mother meant.

Once there, he saw her standing in front of the fireplace holding a letter.

"Finally! Come here, do you know what this is?" She showed a sealed letter with an incredible red seal on it.

"A letter?" Andrew replied innocently.

"Pfft, you silly, this is Hogwarts acceptance letter!" She hugged him and, with a smile on her face, continued, "You are going to study at Hogwarts!"

"What! really!? Haha, thanks, mom!"

"Hehe, you're welcome, now open your letter!"

Nodding he opened the letter and started to read its content.

He was so happy after reading the letter that he didn't notice the date when classes started.

Turning to his mother, with a smile on his face he hugged her again.

"Mom, when are we going to buy the things I need to study at Hogwarts?"

"Right now! Luckily we don't have to worry about books and things like that, your dad has already bought all of the stuff you'll need!"

"Eh? But why today?"

"Um? Didn't you read the date? You will go to Hogwarts next month!" Sara replied with a bright smile on her face.

"What!? Why didn't you tell me before! We have to hurry!" Finishing speaking, he turned and ran for the garage.

"Hey silly what do you think you're doing?" She looked at him while laughing softly.

"Aren't we going out to buy the other things?"

"Yes, but who said we are going to drive?" Sara pointed to the fireplace as she tried to hold herself back from laughing at her son.

Blushing Andrew went to his mother and took some powder from the jar next to the fireplace. He looked at her and seeing that she nodded, he threw the powder on the floor of the fireplace, and said, "Diagon alley!"

Soon after, green flames engulfed him and he disappeared, his mother went right after him.

...

Opening his eyes, Andrew looked at the place in front of him with excitement in his eyes! 'Diagon Alley! I was finally able to visit this incredible place! "

His mother appeared behind him, taking her son's hand, she took him to the first store they needed to visit. [Thanks dragons_fire for helping me fix the text]

On the way, Andrew looked at everything completely amazed, everything looked incredible, from the people to the simplest of bricks, he felt he was visiting the wizard's paradise!

Stopping in the middle of a fork, his mother looked at him and said, "Andrew, do you remember the stores I told you about before?"

He nodded.

"Okay, well, I want you to go buy your clothes and the other things, I'm going to buy the cat you wanted in the meantime and look for someone I had to meet today, wait for me near Ollivanders, okay? I'll be back in a few minutes!" She said after kissing Andrew on the cheek again before leaving, causing him to blush and turn red like a tomato!

After looking around for a while, he finally found the store he was looking for, (Madam Malkin's Robes For ALL Occasions), sighing he entered the store only to be greeted by the scene of two boys discussing fiercely, one of them he recognized as a Malfoy, his father always told him to be wary of this family, he said that they were a family of death eaters that hate everything muggle related.

He decided to not meddle in other's business yet, so he just greeted Madan Malkin, went to the footstool, and listening to the discussion while madam Malkin and another witch measured him and made his clothes. As soon as she finished he paid and hopped down from the footstool.

Going out, he noticed the boy next to a cool bearded giant, sorry for the boy he went there and greeted him.

"Hello, were you the one discussing with the rat boy?"

The boy with round-rimmed glasses, green eyes, and a scar shaped like a lightning bolt looked at him and said, "You mean, the boy with white-blond hair?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to tell you to not mind what the rat says, the Malfoys are one of the worst pureblood families you could think of, he is just a fool who thinks too highly of himself."

The boy nodded and shook hands with Andrew.

Andrew bowed to Hagrid and said, "Nice to meet you Hagrid, my father and mother told me a lot about you, they say that you are one of the best friends one could ask for."

A/N: Sorry guys, don't know how to write Hagrid's accent, so just imagine he speaking as always.

Hagrid laughed and said, "Thank you, little friend, may I know who are you?"

"My name is Andrew Jacobs, son of William and Sara Jacobs."

The boy with the glasses looked at him, thinking that he heard this surname before and said, "I'm Harry Potter, nice to meet you."

Andrew looked at Harry completely puzzled.

"Potter? Are you... the boy who lived!?"

"Yes, I guess..." Harry replied a little dejectedly.

"Oh ... I'm sorry, I only asked because I heard of your family a lot from my parents, my mom told me that your mom was one of the best people she had the pleasure of making friends with."

"Do you know my parents?"

"Only what my parents told me if you want, I can tell you what I know when we take the train to Hogwarts."

Harry nodded, a little anxious to know more about his parents.

After learning that they were going to the same place, Andrew decided to follow Harry and Hagrid, on the way he didn't talk much and just watched while they talked about quidditch, the school houses, and the you-know-who.

They visited the cauldron shop, the book store, the apothecary, the (Eeylops Owl Emporium), and finally Ollivanders.

The last shop was narrow and shabby. Peeling gold letters over the door read Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 b.c. A single wand lay on a faded purple cushion in the dusty window.

A tinkling bell rang somewhere in the depths of the shop as they stepped inside. It was a tiny place, empty except for a single, spindly chair that Hagrid sat on to wait.

Harry and Andrew had different thoughts as they looked at the place filled with boxes.

"Good afternoon," said a soft voice.

Scaring them to the point of making them jump surprised.

COPY AND PASTE MOMENT, YOU WERE WARNED!

"Hello," said Harry awkwardly.

"Ah yes," said the man. "Yes, yes. I thought I'd be seeing you soon. Harry Potter." It wasn't a question. "You have your mother's eyes. It seems only yesterday she was in here herself, buying her first wand. Ten and a quarter inches long, swishy, made of willow. Nice wand for charm work."

Mr. Ollivander moved closer to Harry. Harry wished he would blink. Those silvery eyes were a bit creepy.

"Your father, on the other hand, favored a mahogany wand. Eleven inches. Pliable. A little more power and excellent for transfiguration. Well, I say your father favored it — it's really the wand that chooses the wizard, of course."

Mr. Ollivander had come so close that he and Harry were almost nose to nose. Harry could see himself reflected in those misty eyes.

"And that's where . . ."

Mr. Ollivander touched the lightning scar on Harry's forehead with a long, white finger.

"I'm sorry to say I sold the wand that did it," he said softly.

"Thirteen-and-a-half inches. Yew. Powerful wand, very powerful, and in the wrong hands... well, if I'd known what that wand was going out into the world to do..."

He shook his head and then, to Harry's relief, spotted Hagrid.

"Rubeus! Rubeus Hagrid! How nice to see you again... Oak, sixteen inches, rather bendy, wasn't it?"

"It was, sir, yes," said Hagrid.

"Good wand, that one. But I suppose they snapped it in half when you got expelled?" said Mr. Ollivander, suddenly stern.

"Er — yes, they did, yes," said Hagrid, shuffling his feet. "I've still got the pieces, though," he added brightly.

"But you don't use them?" said Mr. Ollivander sharply.

"Oh, no, sir," said Hagrid quickly. Harry and Andrew noticed he gripped his pink umbrella very tightly as he spoke.

"Hmmm," said Mr. Ollivander, giving Hagrid a piercing look.

Mr. Ollivander then turned to Andrew and looked at him with a curious glance.

"You should be Andrew Jacobs, yes, I remember your parents, such a fated couple!" He smiled.

"A pity that they aren't as famous here as they are in the muggle world." He paused while looking at the back of the store, "I still remember your parent's wands, twins wands, extremely rare I must say, two poplar wands, ten and three-quarters inches long. Those wand's core were phoenixes tailfeathers... one of the most loyal wands I have ever sold!"

"Well, now — Mr. Potter. Let me see." He pulled a long tape measure with silver markings out of his pocket. "Which is your wand arm?"

"Er — well, I'm right-handed," said Harry.

"Hold out your arm. That's it." He measured Harry from shoulder to finger, then wrist to elbow, shoulder to floor, knee to armpit, and round his head. As he measured, he said, "Every Ollivander wand has a core of a powerful magical substance, Mr. Potter. We use unicorn hairs, phoenix tail feathers, and the heartstrings of dragons. Usually, no two Ollivander wands are the same, Andrew's parent's wands are the only exception, just as no two unicorns, dragons, or phoenixes are quite the same. And of course, you will never get such good results with another wizard's wand."

After trying a lot of wands, one had different results.

"Oh, bravo! Yes, indeed, oh, very good. Well, well, well ... how curious ... how very curious ..."

He put Harry's wand back into its box and wrapped it in brown paper, still muttering, "Curious.... curious..."

"Sorry," said Harry, "but what's curious?"

Mr. Ollivander fixed Harry with his pale stare.

"I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr. Potter. Every single wand. It so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather is in your wand gave another feather — just one other. It is very curious indeed that you should be destined for this wand when its brother — why, its brother gave you that scar."

Harry swallowed.

"Yes, thirteen-and-a-half inches. Yew. Curious indeed how these things happen. The wand chooses the wizard, remember... I think we must expect great things from you, Mr. Potter... After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things — terrible, yes, but great."

True end of copy and paste part!

He then turned to Andrew and said, "Now, shall we find your wand? Same process as Potter."

Them, after going through the same process again and again, and testing more than thirty different wands.

Ollivanders looked at Andrew and said with the brightest smile one could give, "Ah, amazing, you are without a doubt the trickiest customer I've ever had! But don't worry, I think I found your wand now!"

Andrew could only nod tiredly.

"Now, here we have an Alderwood wand. In length, it is ten and one-quarter inches long. This wand's core is dragon heartstring! Go on, try it!"

Nodding, Andrew took the wand and could feel a warm sensation spreading through his body, he could even swear that he heard a dragon prideful roar when he touched it and how happy the wand felt when it bonded with him.

"Hoho, impressive! You know, this wand has been here for more than 2 hundred years, nobody ever managed to take it, this must be fate!"

Happy with his new wand, he paid 15 Gold Galleons and left the store together with Harry and Hagrid.

Before saying goodbye to the two, he promised to meet Harry in front of the station when the day came to go to Hogwarts. So he sat on one of the benches and waited for his mother to arrive.

Later that day, when he told his parents about the time he spent with Harry and Hagrid, they handed him a photo they had taken with Harry's parents and asked him to give it to the boy when he had a chance.

The following month, he just rested and had fun with his new cat, who was snow white and very excited when Andrew was around.

When the day finally came, he came down the stairs already dressed in his uniform and said excitedly to his mother, "Mom, we need to go, there is only one hour before the time Harry and I decided to meet!"
