CHAPTER 7 - THE FIRST WEEK 1

When the sky started to clear, Andrew stood up and stretched a little.

He was used to waking up extremely early in the morning, because of his daily routine before coming to Hogwarts, his parents only allowed him to study at the best Muggle schools and, because of that, it took him a long time to go from home to school, so he always woke up at five in the morning, then had his breakfast and ran to school.

However, considering that the class only started after breakfast, at 9 am. He had a lot of time to explore the castle and remember the best routes to get to some specific places, like the great hall and the classrooms.

After wearing his uniform, putting on his enchanted backpack, and feeding his cat, he got up and looked around.

Seeing that the other's were still sleeping, he tiptoed out of the dorm, afraid to wake the others.

He was about to open the door when he remembered something, 'Oh fuc*, where do we take shower and brush our teeth?'

Worried, he ran to Gryffindor common room, and thankfully, Nearly Headless Nick, was 'seating' at one of the armchairs. He is the resident ghost of Gryffindor Tower.

"Uh, good morning, Mr. Nicholas."

The ghost turned to Andrew and with a smile he said.

"Good morning, Andrew, I saw what happened to you yesterday, I hope you are alright, that ice around you at that moment makes me remember of some pretty sad things."

"But enough with that, I now formally welcome you to Gryffindor!" Nicholas bowed as he gestured with his hand.

"Thank you, Mr. Nicholas!" Andrew returned the gesture. "But can I ask you something?"

"Go on, my little friend, so long as I know, I'll do my best to answer!"

"Where do we take showers and brush our teeth?" Nicholas could see the concern in Andrew's voice as the boy spoke.

"Hahaha! Oh, the youngsters nowadays, sure are funny! Did you forget that you are in Hogwarts? The only thing we can't solve with magic here, is the human's basic necessities, such as using the toilet! The founder's when they created the castle already thought of such a thing, there are charms everywhere making your body and clothes clean, although they are only activated twice per day, it's still more than enough."

Realizing the man's words, he looked at his clothes and noticed that they were truly clean, almost as if he just finished washing them.

"Thank you, Mr. Nicholas."

"You're welcome!"

After biding his farewells, the boy went out of the Gryffindor tower and started to take notes on how to get to each floor, and what they had, it took almost an hour for him to get a relative outline on how to move inside the castle, and the chaotic staircases.

He really wanted to have some kind of map, it would make things much easier.

At least he could still take shortcuts to arrive at some places faster than other's, his athletic body with inhuman strength and his practice of the interesting french sport, parkour, allowed him to literally jump between stairs and their platforms, he only had to pay attention to see if he wouldn't hit some of the moving stairs, he still had to learn a spell that would allow him to stop falling to his death or to become invulnerable to fall damage.

As he walked through the corridors, more and more students started to appear, some of them were just chilling, other's were studying and a few had some appointments early in the morning, the only real thing they had in common, is that whenever they spotted Andrew, they would instantly start to whisper.

"Hey, it's him, the ice-man!"

"Do you think he is cursed?"

"Maybe he is a Maledictus!"

He could only laugh at their wild imagination, seriously, if those guys went to the muggle world, they probably could become novel writers or even movie directors!

After some time he arrived at the Great Hall and took a seat, it didn't take long for other Gryffindor students to appear, the first one to arrive was Hermione, she had some books with her, and seemed to be excited because of her true first day at a magic school.

She went to the Gryffindor table and sat next to Andrew.

"Good morning, Andrew, did you see what classes we have on the class timetable today?"

"Yup, it should be, charms in the first period and transfiguration in the second."

Hermione nodded while taking a piece of bread and some other things to eat.

"Do you think we will be starting to use spells right in the first classes? I hope we do, I have been practicing just for this!"

"Well, perhaps," Andrew started to speak after finishing an apple, "we will have to do spells in professor Flitwick class, but I think professor McGonagall will start with theoretical lessons, most muggle-born students don't have experience with transfiguration, it wouldn't make much sense to start by practicing it."

"It makes sense... Hey, Andrew, so... when will you tell us what happened that day, with the ice and everything?"

"This... I don't want to talk about it yet, It doesn't make much sense anyway, Dumbledore and my Uncle told me to not think about it for now..."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to... Wait you said, uncle?"

"It's alright!" Andrew smiled at Hermione. "And yes, I said, Severus Snape, Head of the Slytherin House, is my mother's brother, so he is my uncle. There is still an hour before class starts, but I heard that classrooms are always open earlier, so students can sit and study while waiting for the teacher, would you like to accompany me?"

"Well, that's unexpected." Hermione shook her head in acknowledgment, "Okay, let me just finish and we can go together, by the way, do you know where the classroom is?"

Nodding, Andrew took the notes he made while exploring the Castle and appointed to the note that said: "Charms, class 99 in the South Tower."

"Thank you!" Hermione thanked and went back to eat, while she read one of the books she brought with her.

...

As they walked towards the charms classroom, Andrew noticed that Hermione was having some problems carrying so many books around.

"Hey, Hermione, do you need help?"

Flushing, she nodded and stared at him with pleading eyes.

"Haha, you know, you shouldn't walk with so many things, this place is too big, you will end up lost and tired if you keep doing it."

"Ugh, I know, but I couldn't stop myself, there is so much to read and learn, that I got carried..." She sighed while regretting taking so many books.

"You know what, I can help you carry as many books as you want, give me a sec..." Andrew bent down and started searching inside his backpack.

Seeing a backpack appear out of nowhere, Hermione gasped. Soon he took out a small pouch and gave it to her.

"A pouch?" Hermione asked, confused, with the pouch he gave to her.

"It's enchanted, here, let me show you!" Andrew proceeded to take one of the books she was carrying and placed it inside of the small pouch, that enlarged itself to receive the book that should be way bigger than it, before going back to its original size.

Seem her surprised face, he started to laugh and explained how the little thing worked.

"You see, this pouch is enchanted to store, up to 20 cubic meters worth of objects, it can literally receive anything that doesn't have more than 90 centimeters and you can also use it to store food since time doesn't influence the items inside. Also, you can bind it to your soul, and make it so that only you and someone with your permission have access to its content."

Hermione looked at him as if she was seeing some sort of monster.

"You serious? Where did you get that?"

"My father, people think he only works with chemistry, but he studies basically every single subject that you can relate to maths, I don't know if other's are capable of doing the same, but I guarantee you, that my father created this thing.

He told me that it took 15 years of extensive research to develop all the charms necessary to do it, the difference between the commonly extended bags and my father ones, is that time stop to anything inside it, it has concealment charm so that no one can notice its magical property, and you can give permission for other people to use it, also there is a modified version of disillusionment charm on it, if you keep the pouch hanging on your waist or something similar, it will blend with your clothes, making it so that no one can see it besides you!"

"Amazing! And how much do I owe you?" Asked Hermione while looking at the pouch with glittering eyes!

"Nothing, my father gave me three of them for me to use them in any way I want it, my backpack is one of them, however, it doesn't have a limit to the size of what I can put inside, and this one allows me to create an entire house inside of it, which is much cooler!" Andrew replied with a smile, "I hope, I can someday do similar enchantments as my father can, they are so amazing and complex!"

Hermione nodded but still argued about the pouch, "Seriously, I can't accept something like this, it's too precious!"

Sighing Andrew stood up and said, "Then... when it's your birthday?"

"Uh, my birthday is on September 19th. Why do you ask?"

"Isn't it perfect then? Consider it an early birthday gift! Happy early birthday, Hermione!"

"What? I-I, thank you..." She was blushing as she thanked him, unfortunately, he was too occupied to notice the girl's face, as Andrew was already storing her books inside her new pouch.

"You're welcome, come on, there are 40 minutes left until Professor Flitwick's class starts!" Andrew said as he took the girl's hand and led her down the hall, making her blush even more! Unfortunately, he didn't even realize what he was doing, as he only thought about getting to class early so he could sit with the girl and study with her.

...

===================================

jUST WANT TO SAY! WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO FIND THE HOUR AND PERIODS OF THE CLASS IN CANON!!!!! IT TOOK ME 4 HOURS TO CREAT THEIR TIMETABLE, 4 HOURS OF RESEARCH! I FEEL LIKE DYING!

Seriously, there is so much information missing on the books, I wonder how those guys who write the wiki, find those things, JK Rowling must have written then in secret to share the information of things she forgot to specify in the books! This or I'm blind, either way, I love this book! If you guys have any suggestion on how to progress MC and Hermione relationship, please write in the comments, I myself never had a girlfriend, so I basically don't really know how those things happen, progress, etc. All I know came from the majority of those novels I've read here in 'webnovel', and I must say most of them seems to be REALLY forced, if anyone can truly help me, I'll create an Original Character based on you (What I mean is, your name if you are using one, or your nickname. Idk if the character will have any relevance, but we still have a long way to go until that happens! :D ) when the second year begins!
