Chloe: "So how are we going to cross this river? There is no path going there." she said, pointing at the river.

Nate: "There is a ladder on the other side of the river; we just need to find a way to get there." he said while looking for a way to cross the river. I looked at this and pointed my bionic hands at the ladder. I transform my arm into a grappling hook and shoot at the ladder.

Joseph: "I will scout ahead for any enemies," I said before, swinging away toward the ladder. When I got there, I saw men with guns pointing at me. I ducked down to take cover. "Here we go again," I said while reading my weapon.

---Chloe pov---

I saw Joseph's arm transformed into a grappling hook and swung his way toward the ladder. I am amazed by how daring he is when he does things alone. But it looks like his loneliness is radiating around him. I felt terrible for him in a way that resembled me in some parts.

Chloe: "Are you sure Joseph is just Elena's cameraman the way he fights; he looks like he is a bodyguard." I said while hearing gunshots on the other side of the river.

Nate: "well, he was a cameraman that Elena got to know, but turned out he was an ex-soldier." Nate said while looking for a way to cross the river.

Chloe: "So why does he look like he is always angry, I don't see him always angry at all if he has that handsome face." I said while looking at Nate.

Nate: "I don't know when it happened, but he became unstable when Elena gave him a vacation." he said while shooting the barrel of explosive near the sunken car on the river. "He just came back with a baby on hand and saying that he wanted to stop working for Elena." After climbing up the ledge, we continued talking.

Chloe: "So he is a father now," I said while waiting for him. I saw Nate throw a barrel of explosives toward the car and shot it.

Nate: "Yeah, but he seemed okay after a few years later, actually started smiling and having fun with his daughter," he said while sighing. "But something is missing in his life, I did a little digging about his life and found out his previous girlfriend died. I could only assume that he is afraid to get into another relationship again."

Chloe: "it doesn't seem to look like he stayed single throughout his parenthood." I said while thinking about it. "Seems to me he did get into a relationship but ended it early or pushed that person away. It looks like he is pissed about breaking up with his new flame."

Nate: "how do you know this. "he said while looking at me with a questioning gaze.

Chloe: "A woman's intuition.." I said while having a mysterious smile on my face.

Nate: "Do you like the loner type now," he jokingly said before jumping on top of the car. "Go for it if you think you can move his frozen heart." after a few seconds of jumping on top of the car, we reached the other side of the river and saw a lot of dead bodies on the ground. We saw a man sitting nearby waiting for us.

Joseph: "what took you so long," he said with a stoic look on his face. I don't know what is drawing me to him, just something about him I wanted to help. But I am too selfish to help someone I don't know.

Right now, Elena and I are waiting inside the temple that Nate told us about the hidden temple inside.

Elena: "So Joseph, do think you would ever ask for help I mean the way you're heading now, it doesn't seem to end well for you." she said while looking at me with a worried look on her face. "I am not trying to change how to do things, but it is okay to ask for help. Even Nate here doesn't do things alone." When I heard her words, I stayed silent. I just don't know how to answer her question. I never did try to ask someone for help. I was going to answer her question when all of a sudden, the door blew up—some of the wooden shrapnel lodge itself inside my chest.

I looked at Elena, who was just fine, so I went out and fought some of the enemies alone. I killed lots of me non stopped, but they just kept on coming. I don't know when it will end, and I am getting tired because of my wounds on my chest. It is getting hard to breathe. I just hope that Nate and Chloe got here quickly. But suddenly, there was an attack helicopter ready to shoot. I ducked behind cover to wait it out. I saw Elena didn't take cover without any plan I ran towards her to push her away from the line of fire. I succeeded in pushing Elena away, but in exchange, I was hit on the leg.

Joseph: "AAAhhh!!" I screamed in pain as I held my wound. When Elena got her senses back, she saw me on the ground bleeding. She hurriedly dragged me to safety as she shot more people.

Elena: "Joseph hang on; we just need to wait for Nate to come back," she said while my mind was in a daze as I lost more blood. I just heard more gunshots behind me, but instead of me being afraid, I just smiled at my impending doom. I waited as more fighting was going on until Elena shouted out for Nate, who just came out from the temple.

It didn't take long for Nate to end the battle and came towards us with a worried look on his face. He looked at my wounds on my leg and looked at me.

Nate: "can you stand," he said without any joke this time.

Joseph: "Yeah, I can, can you help me up." I groaned as Nate helped me up. I didn't hear what they were talking about, but we started to move while Nate supported me; everything was a blur as we kept moving. I just heard more gunshots and more screaming from Nate, Chloe, and Elena as they dragged me. When we finally got inside a building, I heard them talking about me.

Chloe: "you can be serious about taking him, he is a dead man already." she said while being worried about herself.

Nate: "I can't just leave my friend to die," he desperately said as he tried to patch me up. "If you are so worried, you could go ahead of us.

Elena: "Yeah, you could go ahead if you are afraid." she said while looking at my wounds.

But suddenly we heard footsteps coming towards us. Nate got ready to fight back, but Chloe had a different plan. She pointed the gun at Nate with a sad look on her face.

Chloe: "I was trying to save your skin, you idiot." she said while pointing her handgun at Nate. Then after that, a new person came in pointing his gun; he looked confused as he pointed his weapon at Nate.

???: "what is this," he said while slowly moving towards Chloe's side. I just heard Chloe's last word to Nate was to apologize to him. More armed men came in, pointing their weapons at us. "Drop your guns, Nate, seriously take Chloe to the train. I will deal with her later." Nate and Elena drop their guns while the armed men take Chloe away. Then a bald man came inside and looked around. He looked at Nate with an amused look on his face.

Bald man: "so this Little man is Drake... Hmm, "he scanned Nate's body and took away a strange-looking dagger. He looked at me and was surprised at seeing me. "Oh, who do we have here," he said while lifting my head with his gun barrel. When he got a better look on my face, he gave me a wicked smile. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Maiava, I am a big fan of your stories."

Joseph: "it seems that everyone knows me these days." I said while in pain as I held down my wound.

Bald man: "of course, you are a wanted man, after all, even me man of power would not want to mess with the people who are hunting you." he said while laughing at me, "but there is someone who wanted you alive for himself," he said while pointing his gun at my other leg and shooting it.

Joseph: "AAAAHHH.." I screamed in pain. Elena wanted to help me but stopped midway as the man pointed his gun at her.

Bald Man: "That shot is to make sure you don't run away, take this important man away there is some use for him in the train." he said while the men around him knocked me out. "Don't worry, Mr. Maiava; we just have some interrogation to do on you to make you spill some information," he said with a smile on his face as I slowly drift to sleep.
