Corrie would dress Axel's wound everyday but she never looked at him and didn't talk much. He was displeased again..he always looked at her thinking she would say something on her mind again. He loved her straightforwardness.
Infact, he enjoyed it.
He asked,"How did you know this language ?
You are not from here aren't you?"
Corrie looked at him,"My parents were travellers and so they could speak all kinds of languages eventually i learnt this from them."
She didn't know why others said that Royals are unapproachable, this one right here seemed like an approachable guy yet with a Kingly aura.
Little did she know that he was like this only to her. Other servers had also noticed it.
That night---
"Corrie, does Crown Prince treat you badly?
Being in the palace is everyone's dream while you on the other hand does not seem to like it here".
Corrie was startled by these words,"He treats me well ."
"Oh yes he does...he only lets you near him.
His mood have improved recently. That made even General Hayner surprised."
General Hayner?
Wasn't he the great general ..he survived the war but all his life he had to suffer since he lost everything-his best friend, his family including the very kingdom he served. He still managed to live a fairly long life with descendants but he was full of remorse throughout his life.
"General Hayner?", Corrie asked.
"Yes, he is a knight. Girls fall for him at his gaze. Of course he isn't more handsome than Crown Prince but he is more approachable. He is Your Highness' best friend since childhood. His father died on the battlefield side by side with the late King. And so at a young age he took on the General. I've seen him practise..and oh i could die."
Corrie listened to all this but the overacting of the girl made her drowsy. Haha pity her..
And so like this Corrie had known all about the palace but the servants can't get access to the plottings so she could only rely on herself for that.
10 days passed by .....not in a blink . It felt like a lifetime there. She wanted to go back to Milana already. Milana couldn't even visit since the palace didn't allow any entry unless someone of a high rank commands it.
One thing, Axel just loved watching Corrie doing her chores . He would watch silently and when Corrie turned to him, he would look away in the distance nonchalantly. Corrie thought he had not yet been convinced about her. But he said so himself that she didn't look like a spy...he must've found out about her and found nothing bad. Then why the hell was he staring at her like that.
