Aspen

The late King of Aspen was forced to marry a daughter of a minister. He had objected to it but everything went against his wishes and the marriage was well not exactly a disaster but there was not much interactions.

The King went away to the neighbouring kingdom and had a relationship with the Princess there. While he was enjoying there, his real wife, the Queen was already pregnant with his baby. The Queen made a firm resolution that she would take care of the baby and not let him/her experience any loneliness. He/she would grow up to be a great person..she promised herself.

The King's concubine was also pregnant with his baby and had asked him,"When will you bring me to your kingdom?"

"It is not the time to tall about that. My wife is pregnant and she is having the baby soon."

"And what about me....i am pregnant too. I do not just want to be a concubine, remember?"

"What?! Thats good news"

"Who are u going to give the throne to?",she asked coldly not minding his words.

"Dont tempt me...im leaving for Aspen tonight".

By now, the King had great remorse over his actions of recklessness. His wife had loved him but he left her for another woman so far away. He felt shame. Throughout his whole journey, he kept thinking that he would love her fully and his child. He will abandon the concubine of course but the child? he will take him in but not the mother.

Aspen's Palace---

"Take me to your Queen", he ordered.

The Queen was looking over the kingdom while he was gone so she was looking over the developmental plans.

The King felt deep pain and shame as he looked at her.

"My Queen, I am sorry"

"How's your concubine doing My King?"

He had not expected the once clingy and loving wife to be so distant to him ....but he knew that was his fault.

"I-I am ashamed of my actions. I have come back to you. I have abandoned the concubine. I have to be with my wife and child",he said painfully with guiltiness.

The Queen softened at his words but she couldn't give up so easily.

"How can i trust you still after everything you have done ?"

"I know, thats why i have come back here", he was already kneeling in front of her in the most devastating stance.

The both of them cried and at last the Queen gave him a chance. The King was very happy.

He was indeed true to his words and took care of his wife. The Queen started trusting him more. After some months, she gave birth to a magnificient baby boy. The King was always with his family and showered his wife and child with all the love and care he had.

That little joy did not last long as after months, the concubine's baby was born too. It was a baby boy. The concubine just watched him and never showed any emotions towards him. He was just months old when she sent a letter to her husband.

She declared war against him with the other neighbouring kingdoms at her side. She wanted to destroy the whole of Aspen forever.

The King was stressed deeply when he heard about it and so he decided to end it once and for all.

Axel was already one and a half year old. when his father left him and went to war.

He never came back...

He died at the battlefield with his most trusted general by his side. The general's son was a best friend to Axel as they grew up together.

The Queen took charge of authority over the kingdom and with great difficulties she brought peace, it took years but it happened at least. By then, she told her son to become a Crown Prince. It seemed he hated to be a King since he didn't wanted to be like his father.
