Preparations

Corrie would always discuss fortifications now and then with Axel...

"The Sira kingdom will join forces...with the other two kingdoms of the south. So what do you propose?",Corrie asked sceptically.

" Alliance with the kingdom in the north."

"Are you sure?! You think you can convince them?"

"They have long been wanting a war with the Sira kimgdom. I would be doing them a favour", Axel smirked.

Corrie's eyes widened. Last time she had read about Aspen..the Northern kingdom stayed silent and just watched the battle.

After some weeks, Axel went away to the North with Corrie as she wanted to see the life of the people there.

It is said that the King of the North is a casanova but with a righteous mind.

As they entered the palace---

"Greetings to the King! Aspen's Crown Prince bows before you", someone addressed.

"What proposal do you have for me, Crown Prince?" he smiled as if he had all the time in the world.

While words were exchanged between them, Corrie couldnt help but wander her eyes around the whole courtroom. The throne was the dragon's body..on top of it, its head with its mouth open ready to swallow anything thrown into it. The whole length of the courtroom was decorated with golden phoenixes. It was too amazing. She had seen its ruins but never expected for it to be so shiny and wonderful.

The King's eyes was fixed at Corrie looking around but he soon had a shocked expression when he heard Axel say,"War against the Sira kingdom. We need your alliance with Aspen..."

"How?"

"I want to finish everything my father started once and for all and since its against the Sira kingdom, I am doing you a favour"

The King laughed loudly at this and Corrie was startled and made her gaze back to the King and Ansem looked at her and assured her with a gentle smile. She looked down.

"An alliance with the Aspen kingdom for war against the Sira and south kingdoms!", the King proclaimed with satisfaction.

"How about the fortifications? Please make your way to my chamber to discuss that" and with that he left the court after a quick glance at Corrie.

Ansem held Corrie's hand as he walked to the chamber and he had a dominating aura which made the ministers leading the way shiver and not dared to look up to him.

The King was sitting in the same style Axel had sat way back... which made him darken.

He sat down with Corrie by his side.

Being between two great figures, Corrie couldn't help but feel a chill down her spine.

After some time, they finished the discussions. What amazed the King most was that Corrie explained most of it while Axel looked at her proudly..of course he explained too!

"You have a treasure here, Axel"

"And i found her"

The King smirked,"Are you going to win this war for the girl?"

"For the people. Sira made a big mistake by asking for the throne."

" How about her?"

"She is going to be my WIFE"

"Okay okay what if i want her ?", he smirked darkly.

"I'd rather give up the throne than lose her to you", Axel's expressions darkened with a deep glare.

"What happened, i was just testing you", The King had his hands up.

Axel calmed himself when Corrie touched his hand gently.
