You are on your way to the next city to found something.

You: Where are we going now?

Mandeep: To Bathscottglen, The city was famous for tourism. Well, not anymore the condition the area is worse. Radiation, Bandits, and Mutants it's bad as it can be.

You: You said we are going somewhere safe?

Mandeep: Yeah but due to this that city is the most unlikely place we will go to according to the people trying to find us. The city is like a maze they can't even find this tank in it.

You: What if they start to nuke the place?

Mandeep: They wouldn't nuke a city. Maybe. Like people still live there even with all these conditions. Just trust me I know what I am doing.

You: Okay, I should dispose of these bodies then.

You pick and throw the bodies out of the tank one by one.

You: Do you know anyone named Carle?

Mandeep: Carle I don't think I know her. Oh, wait that must be the bitch that punched me.

You: Where did you saw her?

Mandeep: Well she is dead, My friend.

You: What happened?

Mandeep: She was fighting some bandits and slipped on a banana peel and died. You: You are kidding me?

Mandeep: I made a joke.

Mandeep: Well she is an orphan too. But she kissed me later.

You: WHAT?

Mandeep: I know. That was lame dad joke.

You: I am not talking about the joke. Did she kiss you? Wait she kissed you on cheek right?

Mandeep: No. She kissed me on lips. But that was a long time ago. But what wrong with that?

Mandeep is about to speak but you interrupt him.

You: Let's forget about this for now. I don't want to talk about this.

You: What were those things?

Mandeep: Things? Oh, you are talking about the creepers.

You: Yeah, What are those?

Mandeep: I don't know much about then even though my research is dedicated to finding more about those Creepers. But there are things that I know like. They cant be killed or injured. If they attack you then you are a goner and they are invisible if you noticed. You can feel there presence if they are near you. They cant attack cars and all vehicles.

You: How they did come here?

Mandeep: They don't come here. They are created by the government. The war is over but during WWIII the government created these creepers to use as weapons. But now there is no one left to fight most people are dead. The military isolated this continent entirely no one gets in and no one goes out.

You: That fucked up. They just left civilians here to die of starvation and get killed by these things.

Mandeep: I was not done yet. Those nukes are no sent by the military. You see that red light in the sky. That the mothership a living and breathing ship. Its a living organism that they use to clean this area.

You: They? Do you mean the military?

Mandeep: No, I don't know how they are but they don't like the military as well. The ship controls the nuke system and even human minds that were connected to it at some point. That ship is their queen.

You: Why not kill the queen then?

Mandeep: Who will do that? The people or the military or the government all of them are fucking pussies. We have no power over that ship.

You: Wait is this contact wars?

Mandeep: Contact wars?

You: I read about that the first time humans came in contact with another alien species they terminated all of them.

Mandeep: Nah We got our ass kicked in the first few hours. No one wants to fight them. The poor die and the rich live like nothing is going on.

You: Why are they following you?

Mandeep: Not me, They are following Anne.

You: Why her?

Mandeep: I don't know that either. But maybe the queen needs a successor from the human.

You both talk some more about unimportant things. You reach the city as the tanks hatch open you see people on street standing near fire and people behaving as everything is normal.

You: Why are these people not wearing their hazmat suit.

Mandeep: Many areas are cleaned regularly and but it's safer in the subways. The subways are huge tunnels with shops, houses, and all things.

You: How are these subways then?

Mandeep: Well don't ask me that. Let's park the tank somewhere and enter the subway.

You: [ Carle, Why you did this to me? ]

Mandeep: Let's go to my home.

You: Wait you live in this city?

Mandeep: No, I have multiple places to stay in case of an emergency.

You: That great but where is it?

Mandeep: Here take this map. I have to meet my assistant.

You: Assistant?

Mandeep: Yeah, She helps me with research. If you want to go home follow this map and get there don't go anywhere else and don't stop anywhere.

You: Yeah MOM.

Mandeep: I am serious this place is as bad as it looks.

Mandeep leaves you and Anne as he tries to find his assistant.

You: [ Should I try to make a move on Anne? For his betrayal? ]

You: [ What am I even thinking I cant do this. Carle and Him may have a low standard but I will not do this bullshit ]

You: Nothing. Let's go to his house.

You and Anne follow the map to his house.

You found his house and open the door. The door is unlocked as you open it more you see Carle standing there.
