Restroom

By the time Akira got to class, she met everyone chit chatting care freely. Her eyes roamed the class a bit, searching for something or someone, after a minute of search, she heaved a sigh of relief.

She had lied to Lucy about going to the restroom, all she wanted to do was get out of there and get some fresh air and alone time.

Initially, she located a quite place towards the side stairs in the school building, on the second floor and rested her back against the wall.

She stayed there for some minutes, so lost in her own thoughts to notice anything around. She missed her previous school and her friends, she wondered what they were all doing during their own lunch break.

She had always been a top student, working and studying were what she did best. Ever since her dad and younger brother died, her mum was left to shoulder the responsibilities on her own.

So as soon as Akira entered her second year in middle school, she started working part time to help her mum out with expenses.

That was also one of the reasons why she considered attending this school, it offered her a scholarship which could take the burden away from her mum, a chance at a future career and a high level university to further her studies.

She had expected some of the students to be snobbish and all that, after all there was the rich princess's squad, but even that didn't bother her. She didn't know why when Sasuke did same, it really got to her and now seeing him, things became awkward.

She then decided to visit the restroom to wash her face. Upon getting to the rest room, she met Ty Lee and Main by the sink.

At first, she wanted to go back, but she felt hot and needed to splash some water on her face and seeing as the time for break was almost up, she could go buy a bottle of water from the canteen either.

"Umm Mai, you know the other guy I told you about, umm Chen from Class B... " Ty Lee was initially speaking, but upon seeing Akira draw nearer she stopped talking and stared blankly at her. Mai who had her back to Akira, didn't see who or what made Ty Lee that way.

So ignoring what might happen and the obvious stare from Ty Lee, Akira walked up to the sink and simply put on the water and splashed some on her face.

It was at this time Mai saw her, but she couldn't see her face clearly as Akira had her head slightly bent while she passed by them.

It was not until she raised her head after splashing water on her face, that Mai clearly saw her face in the wide mirror in front of the sink.

Mai's brows furrowed as she squinted her eyes. Ty Lee placed a hand on her hip and relaxed her weight to her left, where her hand was on her waist as she stared right back at Akira in the mirror.

They were engaged in a staring contest and no one moved or said anything. Well no one except...

"Ty Lee, why did you suddenly stop?! Don't tell me you girls left to find that stupid Chen of a guy!"

Flush!!

The sound of the water entered everyone's ears as they awaited the owner of the voice to come out.

Clank!!

The door opened and a girl came out. It was none other than the rich spoilt princess herself.

"Mai! Ty Lee!" The rotten princess called out, but when she saw the intense gaze on the faces of her friends, even she felt something big or important was happening or about to happen.

Little did she know that something big was about to really happen. Her eyes scanned her friends before landing on the subject of discussion.

Her eyes met theirs in the mirror, but what she did next stunned everyone. She bent down as though she had not noticed the glares cast her way and continued with her previous task, spraying water freely on her face.

"I was wondering why you were all silent, I never expected that it was because of this peasant."

At this moment, Akira turned off the water, took her handkerchief and gently wiped her hands and face before turning to face the Troublesome Trio.

As she turned, they all closed in on her. What they didn't expect was the smirk that appeared on her face the moment she turned.
