The Sword of Destruction Pt. I

It continued raining the whole day. Tristan was heading towards the mountain on wich the village was.

He couldn't stop thinking about what the spirit said to him. Why was this god watching him? Could it be that the SOTF was under his commands? Or maybe the first Angel he killed.

Then his thoughts shifted a bit, could he take on Inferno? After all he was a lower god.

(The 4 main gods are the god of destruction, the god of light, the goddess of creation and the goddess of darkness.

Then the 4 elemental gods, Inferno, the god of fire, Aquaria, the goddess of water. Aeros, the gods of air and Felser, the god of earth.)

He remembered that he didn't look at his Interface in a while too.

That was a lot of new levels. He really got a boost from such powerful enemies. It also seemed like Mana would grow easily. And his Shapeshifting was almost maxed out too.

‚Oh my god! I have forgotten about so many skills. Ok let's try something.'

„[Teleport]", he said.

He found himself in the flooded cave.

‚Great, so it works, but I'm back here.'

„You have thought of this cave, so the [Teleport] spell brought you here.", Nova said.

„Hey can you tell me the stats of Inferno?", he asked. Still curious if he would stand a chance.

„Known stats of Inferno:

[Level] 50000

[Strength] 35000

[Defense] 50000

[Magica] 75000

Those are the last known statistics of Inferno."

‚Oh my, I have no chance! And his Magica is really high! Ok, everything is really high. I don't want to imagine the four main gods.'

„Additional information: Inferno is known to be very impulsive and aggressiv. He is mainly a magic caster, focused on fire magic. He is considered the weakest amongst the elemental gods.", Nova added.

‚The weakest huh. I guess I'll have to train a lot then. But first I need to concentrate on getting out of here.

„[Teleport]", Tristan was back at the place where he accidentally teleported into the cave.

„Again, [Teleport]", he said.

He was now at the bottom of the mountain, on wich the village was.

‚Well, I guess I have to climb.', he thought.

And so he started climbing up the mountain, getting a good grip, then looking for some holes where he can put his hands and then he used [Acceleration], to speed up the climbing process.

Though the mountain wasn't small, it was very big, so Tristan took a while, and a lot of energy too. When he could finally see the city entrance, he mumbled [Teleport].

He was there, at the city. Or rather town. It wasn't very large or impressive.

He stepped inside and wandered around town, looking for Layla and Cornelius.

After a while, he heard a familiar voice,

„Tristan!", it was Layla, who came from the side. Cornelius was following right behind her.

„It's good to see you! Are you ok?", Layla asked with a worried face.

„Yeah, yeah, I'm okay. I just had to climb this mountain, and I'm not going to lie, it was really tiresome", he answered with a little smile.

„Greetings. You must be Tristan, correct?", an older man approached him.

„Yes, that's me. Can I help you?", Tristan replied.

„I am Cameron Tentam. I was once the master of little Layla here. I trained her in the arts of the sword.", he explained.

„She came to me with this young lad by her side, telling me she wanted me to train you too. But I won't just train anyone, so I propose a duel.", Cameron followed.

„Yeah, sure.", Tristan didn't really know how strong the old man was exactly, but he was an old man, how strong could he be?

Cameron lead them to a smaller house on a little hill, behind wich was a little place where they could spar.

In an empty barrel were some wooden swords of all kinds stored, Cameron took two and gave one to Tristan.

It was a katana-like sword, very unusual in the Empire of Kathul.

He wondered what happened to Kathul after his departure. But there was no time to think about it, he had a duel to win.

They got into positions in a circle drawn on the ground.

„Ready!", Layla was standing at the side.

Both redoes their swords.

„Go!", Layla said.

Tristan rushed at Cameron, using force and Acceleration, but to his surprise, Cameron evaded the attack, he even made eye contact and said:

„To slow", with that, he was at the other end of the Arena.

„You have some useful skills my friend, and a lot of potential too. But your speed isn't going to bring you far like that. Now it's my turn!", Cameron said.

He was so fast, he couldn't even be seen, the only thing he saw was a quick shadow, only for the blink of an eye, but it was enough for him to raise his sword, and

CLACK

he successfully blocked Cameron's attack, who smiled.

„Very good. But I'm sorry. Secret technique-skill [Hidden Pain]!", he said.

Random places on Tristans body started to hurt, and wounds appeared, it wasn't bad, it didn't bleed, it was just hurting a little.

„That's my secret technique. I hit you every time, but the pain comes last. It's quite useful actually.", Cameron said, „But I must say, you have some talent. I think I can accept you as a student. Plus, not everyone manages to block my last attack."

Tristan smiled, he had no idea, why Layla wanted him to train with her old master, but he seemed strong, it couldn't hurt.

They went inside the small house, it was a pretty comfortable house, a living room, a kitchen and a bedroom.

In the living room was a couch, a table and a fire place. Above the fireplace, on the wall was hanging a shining sword. It looked like the training sword he used, but this one was made of metal, it was a dark metal, the grip had leather around it, the blade was covered in runes.

„Woah. This looks really cool!", Tristan said.

„I will go and prepare some tea.", Cameron left the living room.

Tristan, who couldn't get his eyes of of the sword, walked up to it and picked it up.

It wasn't heavy at all, and it felt like it was lent for him.

Layla was staring at him, mouth agape.

Tristan did some slow swings, trying not to hit anything.

When Cameron entered the room with four cups of tea, he almost dropped them, as what he saw was unbelievable.
