Chapter 4 “Jack”

"Jack"s POV"

Jack comes from a long line of landowners. His family was known for owning slaves and still lives on the original plantation.  It was built by his great, great, great, great grandfather Gerald Fitzpatrick. The house sits on 500 acres of land on the other side of the Shenandoah National Park near Harrisonburg, Va. They rent out sections of land to some of the pack members in order to help keep up the property, and some of them work in the house as servants and also work the land. 

Jack has been trying to gain respect that his father and grandfather had in their pack. For his 24th birthday his grandfather handed over rule of the pack to Jack and he has been trying very hard to be the leader and Alpha that the pack needs, but he has been having a problem  with getting the Omegas to do the jobs he assigned them to and his Beta has not been much of a help. His Beta and Best friend Rayn Jackson is a party bot and over the years him and Jack has gotten into a lot of trouble because of it. This is one reason that Jack has been having problems with his leadership of the pack. They just do not believe that him taking over as head Alpha was a good idea and they voiced their opinions to his grandfather.

Jack's mom and dad died when he was about 12 years old in a plane crash. His dad was a good Alpha and the pack loved him. As for his grandfather that was another story. He is strict and wants things done  before he asks or demands that it be done. HIs grandfather had to become Jack's father after the death of his parents, so he did  not have much supervision as a young teen. His grandfather never had the time to deal with Jack so he acted out at times to get attention. 

Jack had become like his grandfather even if he had not seen it. He wanted things done as soon as he asked or he would get mad and start throwing things. He always wanted to be the center of attention. If he was not he would do something to make sure that he was. This was his life and now he was drawn to this girl. Not that she was not very beautiful but he was not ready for what was not ready to happen. His life was about to change.   

Now he needed to get out and drive around and for some reason he ended up in Auria Falls. So he drove around the small town for a few hours ate lunch at the Restaurant at the Victoria Inn. After lunch he decided to check out the local shopping area and that is where he found her, the girl that would be his for life. He got out of his corvette, his favorite car in the world, and leaned  against the hood of the car watching her. He stood there for what seemed like an hour trying to decide how he was going to approach her . He could smell her scent from there, she smelled like roses. Not just any rose but an All American Beauty. After he made up his mind and had seen that she had noticed that he was watching her, he walked up the  the gaming store and try to stare at the poster and not at her. She was talking to another person who was filling out some questions. Her voice was like a fresh cool breeze. I kept watching her out of the corner of my eyes and noticed that she was watching me too. 

After she had finished she looked over at me and asked, "Would you like to fill out a survey of this new game that is coming out called "New Earth"." Sure, For you I would do anything."I said. She looked up at me when I took the clipboard and said, " After you fill out these few questions I will take you inside to try a demo of the game and then you will fill out the rest of the survey. The cashier will then give you a gift card for participating." I Said ,"Ok, give me the pencil." As I filled out the survey I noticed that she was checking me out. As she was, it was very hard to concentrate on the questions. I could fill the growth of my member.  I am definitely taller than her. She has long blonde hair and wearing a white t-shirt that looked as if she had just doused herself with a bucket of water. I am sure she hadn't done that. Her light blue bra was shining through her shirt. She is tall and slender. I was wondering if she had ever been in a gym because she was definitely fit. She took me in the store and said a few words to the cashier and he led me to a room and got me started on the demo of the game. When he left, he left the door slightly open.  I could see her talking to him and I could feel the heat of anger building. She was mine and had no right talking to anyone but me.    

When I was done with playing I quietly walked up behind her and put my finger to my mouth so the cashier would not say anything. I cleared my throat and said,  " My family is one of the richest families around next to yours, but I come from old money and your family well they are close to what my family has." It scared her so much that she jumped  and nearly fell over the display next to her. I grabbed her by her waist and pulled her close . Close enough that I could get a whiff of her scent. I just laughed and said, " I can not let a beautiful woman like you fall and hurt yourself."  she shoved the questionnaire in my hand for me to finish and ran to the bathroom. I think that she was embarrassed, and did not want to let anyone see her that way.

After a few minutes I walked over to the bathroom and  knocked on the door. " Are you ok in there or do I need to call someone for you.", I said trying not to laugh.  I heard a small squeak, " No I am ok.", then so I  said," come out here and let me look at you. I want to make sure you are not hurt." "I said, I am ok, just finish the questions I will be out in a minute." she said sounding like she was getting mad. I said  very sadly, " ok" and walked away and quietly walked back to the door.She opened the door walked right into me. Her scent again filling my nose. She smelled like a rose garden. I know that when we scent our mate we can identify a scent that will be irresistible to us be I was drawn to her scent like a fly to week old meat. I  took a deep breath and then grumble, " Mate" it was barely audible but I think she  heard me. She looked into my eyes and I into hers. I think we were like that for almost ten minutes. The store cashier said, "Um is there anything I can help you with, Isabella, are you ok." I shook myself and she looked around me and said , "yeah I think so."  It was then that I let go of her. Then I  shook my head as if to clear out some cobwebs. I looked down at her and said, "Sorry for that I do not know what came over me." I think I know what happened but not sure. It was almost time for the store to close and here we  were in a daze and not able to even walk straight. 

As I think back to what happened I thought to myself I  had better go see her father and see if I can start a merger between our two families. I arrived before she got home and was sitting in the main living room on the couch talking to her parents. As she walked in I had just finished telling her parents what had happened and her mother gasped and yelled, "WHAT, she did what?". I think she thought I was there to make a complaint about the fact that she had practically ran me over and was kind of rude to me at first.  I told them that it was ok and that she was to be my mate. At that I could see that her dad was getting agitated with me. When her mother noticed that Isabel had came in she called for her to come join us. She came in with her head lowered and sat in a big comfy looking chair. I do not think that she noticed me until she looked up and her mouth fell open.

There was no hi or did she say what are you doing here she just stared at me. Her dad started in on her saying, "Bella we know that you want to go to college but this gentleman has come to us saying he is your mate. Please tell me you have not mated yet." She blushed and her mother covered her mouth as to say you didn't did you. She looked straight into her dad's eyes, " Why would you think such a thing?  Anyway, I am 19, and an adult now I can do what I want and don't need your permission, Do I?" "Bella as long as you live in my house you follow my rules and the rules of the pack." her dad almost yelled through gritted teeth. Bella's mom gasped as if she had been holding her breath, " Don't talk to your dad like that."  I then spoke up and said, " We have done nothing wrong sir, but I just met her a few  hours ago, and I knew right away she was to be mine and I think she knew it too."" Young man, this has nothing to do with you or your claim to my daughter." I  looked at him like it was incredible that the current conversation had nothing to do with me. " Sir, " I said, " I think it does. I just came to tell you I am 24 years old and I have looked for my mate for a few years and have now found her, I do not plan on giving up on her being mine." Isabell  just stared at me.  She cleared my throat and said," Um, don't I get a say in the matter it is my life. I know that I am only 19 and did not plan on being able to find a mate until I went to college. This is all happening too fast. Dad I am sorry for the way I spoke to you just now but I just want to be able to live my life." 

Her dad stood up and walked over to her , and  he took her hand in his as he knelt before her and said, "Bella, you know I only want the best for you and will give you anything your heart desires but this just can not happen now. We are on the brink of war with another pack and this is ." he trailed off as if he could not come up with what to say. I don't blame him." Dad I love you too, but won't the merging of our pack with Jacks make us stronger " She gave him a hug and her mom came over and joined in. Then I cleared his throat, " She is right, but I do not think that getting married right now is on her agenda and I am willing to wait for her as long as she wants me too. I am in no hurry to get married myself. I just took over my grandfather's pack and I am still trying to gain the respect that he has. If you want to know anything about my family, I can tell you what you want. I have no secrets and neither does my family. Also I have not told my dad this yet and I do not know what his reaction will be when he finds out that I have found my Luna."  

Her Dad just stared and said, " Your family does not know yet, you need to tell them right away. This is not something that you need to hide from them. It is a very important thing and really the decision about when the two of you will be joined is not yours to decide. This needs to be discussed between me and your grandfather. I know who your are and about your family. Besides my pack yours is the strongest and biggest around." Isabel got up to leave and  father her said, "Stay put young lady, this is not over just yet." He picked up his phone and dialled a number. "HI, may I speak to Boris please, this is Danniel Williams of the Rosewood pack speaking. I know he may be busy but this is important and can not wait. Yes mam I will hold."
