Fuck School! Let's Go Out!

The next morning, Yan stretched his arms to the skies after he casually incinerated hundreds of people in a day. THEY WERE ARROGANT HUMANS THAT WOULD'VE DONE WORSE.

"Phew... I slept well!" He stretched his neck after yesterday. Mark and himself later immediately trained the hellish routine that might've killed a normal man to exhaustion, but he survived nonetheless.

He later noticed Mark, resting peacefully on the couch (in which he made from the finest material) with the emerald snake. What was her name again?

'Oh yeah... Emerald..' He realised her name and forgot she even existed in the first place. The said snake suddenly twitched in anger, and gone back to peacefully drifting to sleep.

[AN: I think she noticed the lack of character inserts in the past chapters... What was 8, minus 20 again? Oh. For 16 chapters, I have not put in a single snake for 16 chapters... Yikes.]

"Treasure the time you have now, because not long after, we will be leaving here to go train!" Lao stated, causing Yan to blink sadly.

"Yeah... The trip this time will take at least one year, maybe many more... I guess it's about time to let Xun-Er know and bid her farewell too..." He muttered. Also, Mark had also suggested this, needing new materials and expanding his sights for better projects...

He later glanced at Mark, who was... continuing to sleep peacefully, as if a baby. He rested on couch, silently breathing air, as sleeping was the most favourited activity that Mark would've done.

Well... He's going to leave him alone. Waking him up is an unwise decision that leads to a cranky Mark, more hellish training, and more suffering. Letting him sleep peacefully would be wise.

Let sleeping dragons lie...

"Yan-Er..." He heard his father's voice knock from the door.

...

"Mark... Mark, wake up..." I heard a voice calling out from my beauty sleep. Who's the unfortunate idiot that will suffer my crankiness of unneeded awakening from my sleep?...

"Yan..." I saw the MC keeping a safe distance away from my grasp. I saw the Patriarch was also present, knowing that showing my crankiness to the Patriarch himself is an unwise decision...

I'll deal with Yan later for getting me awake. What's the fuss now?

"What?" I harshly spat out in slight annoyance, causing Yan to flinch. He steeled himself and went over to me.

"Your... talk about the trip. You said to me to wake you up when my Father's here..." He whispered, reminding myself to the 'important' matters to the Patriarch for the trip. I blinked, and stared at the Patriarch's eyes.

"..." Nothing was spoken out from my mouth.

"..." The Patriarch waited for me say something, while as I waited for him.

Silence went inside the room for a moment of waiting who was going to talk.

"Mark-" "I quit."

Silence went again from my statement. Cue the jaw-drop from the Patriarch himself. As Xiao Zhan was about to speak, he was interrupted from the loud group of people from the window.

"What do yo- Why is it noisy outside?" He left the room hurriedly, leaving both of us in the room. I stared at Yan in questioning. He knew my look of 'answers. now.' and sighed.

"The Jia Lie Clan owed a large debt from buying medicinal ingredients, they've sold their property deed." I 'ahh'-ed in understanding, and carried on with the work, and left the room.

...

"Why are there so many people out in the streets?" Xiao Zhan asked himself. There were people, alright. People were grouping up on something.

"Oh, Xun-Er!" Yan realised Xun-Er running towards us in excitement, somewhat eager for this commotion.

"Xiao Yan Ge-Ge! Mark! Quickly come look!" She called out, pointing at the group of well-classed members of a certain elegant elite academy. They came marching in, waving their banner to the group of people.

"Jia Nan's Academy enrolment has started!"

...

After the Jia Nan Academy came into the Wu Dan City, they settled into a house and used it as a temporary application centre. To there, banners were waving around from the wind while many people waited to a line to apply to the academy.

"Aiyah... There are so many people..." Yan commented, scratching the back of his head.

"Didn't Xiao Yan Ge-Ge say he wasn't going to apply?" Xun-Er asked, curious of Yan's sudden accompany. Yan smiled.

"This... of course I'm only here to accompany you!" Yan hesistantly said, Xun-Er noticing this hesistance and later deadpanning.

"Wh... why are you looking at me like that? I'm being honest..." Yan again scratched the back of his head. Yan's thoughts manifested to his Master.

'You must successfully enrol into the Jia Nan Academy, because there is an Essence Flame there! Jia Nan Academy, GoGoGo! Retrieve the Essence Flame!' He remembered his Master's words. He smiled awkwardly as in fact he really didn't want to come.

Xun-Er later giggled at Yan's antics. "Nevermind, even if it's not true, Xun-Er is still very happy..." He whispered to himself.

Far away, where the examineer conducted the application, dismissed a middle-aged man. "You are unsuitable! We only accept candidates below the age of twenty... Next!" The examineer called out.

"That's right! I just turned nineteen yesterday! I fit the criteria, youngster- Ah, no, senior!" The middle aged man retorted.

"Dad! Mom says the food is ready and wants you to go back! What are you doing here?!" The child said, surprising the middle aged man.

"N-E-X-T!" The examineer held a vein on his temples and calmly ordered.

"Brat! Didn't I tell you to call me brother yesterday?!" The old middle aged man pulled away his child by a cheek-grip and left the application. Yan sweatdropped at the sight.

"Even an old uncle wants to get in... Is Jia Nan really that attractive?" Yan asked himself, unaware that he didn't have an answer to that question.

"Jia Nan Academy is famous throughout the Dou Continent, there will always be some old folks trying their luck at every enrolment!" A loud and familiar voice called out to them. Yan turned around to see Xiao Yu, Xiao Ning, and Xiao Mei standing in front of them.

"Xiao Yu? What are you doing here?" Yan asked.

"Of course, it's go to... go through! the! back door!" All of them chanted while pointing a victory salute in sync. Gleam and Shining illuminated the three as Yan sweatdropped at the sight.

"Hmph, follow me if you don't wish to queue! The one in charge of the enrolment at Wu Dan City this time is my professor!" She smirked smugly and proudly. Yan rolled his eyes.

"What's so amazing about this professor?..." Yan muttered, giving no fucks of the professor. Unfortunately, Xiao Yu had heard of the comment and twitched in irritation.

"Then don't follow us, you rascal!" "No one's following you, I'm following Xun-Er! Hmph."

As the group walked behind the building to go to the backdoor, it was surprisingly empty as one student rested on the entrance.

"We are here." Xiao Yu stated, and noticed who the resting student was.

"Oh, great! It's someone I know! He Xue-Zhang, I'm Professor Ruo Ling's disciple Xiao Yu, here to make a special visit to the professor." The resting fellow snored in response.

'He's... asleep.' Yan mentally commented, as the fellow continued to sleep.

"He... Xue-Zhang..." Xiao Yu stuttered as the senior continued to snore. Xiao Yu dropped a bead of sweat in awkwardness.

"This fellow... Is he drunk again? Nevermind, we'll just go on ahead." Xiao Yu suggestively advised, causing Xiao Ning to 'heh-ed. Xiao Ning was gone to went pass the entrance.

"Jie-Jie, you kept mentioning how strict criterias were... But it doesn't seem that strict afterall..." Xiao Ning stepped confident reckless steps to the door.

"Xiao Yan Ge-Ge, you should've felt it too...." Xun-Er whispered, causing Yan to develop his shit-eatting grin.

Suddenly, as Xiao Ning's foot stepped up to the entrance, a heavy pressure of Dou-Qi washed over them, pressing them down like an anvil on top of them. Xiao Ning's face showed disbelief and surprise.

"Why... Suddenly... Such. Strong Dou-Qi pressure..." Xiao Ning struggled to make another step, as the strong Dou-Qi pressure pressed down upon them.

'This is the real test.' Yan thought as he flared his Dou-Qi.

Xiao Mei also struggled, as she sweated heavily from standing up. Xun-Er closed her eyes momentarily to hide her efforts to counter the pressure, but she felt nothing nonetheless. While as Yan...

"...?" Yan showed blissful obliviousness as he... didn't felt any pressure. Nothing. Nada. Not a thing was pressuring down upon him.

'Must've been the experience of SURVIVING against Mark...' Yan mentally deadpanned and thought the cruel and hellish memories when Mark showed a great output of heavy pressure to himself in training. Compared to that, this was a breeze.

Yan casually walked while humming to the entrance with no signs of trouble at all, shocking Xun-Er and Xiao Yu as they needed to put at least some effort dealing this.

'That's... impossible... Even I needed to put at least SOME effort dealing with this, but he just CASUALLY walked to the entrance without showing no difficulty?!' Xiao Yu thought, completely in disbelief as Yan showed as if he didn't put ANY effort at all.

Blinking furiously at the sight she'd witnessed, Xun-Er walked over to the entrance and stared at Yan with a questionable expression. Yan simply shrugged in response.

As the two struggling Xiao Sect members barely passed the test, they finally went passed the entrance while breathing for air. Their knees hit the floor as they gasped for air.

"Phew! Finally!" "So scary... Finally got here..."

"What's wrong~ Do you need a helping hand?" Yan smugly and mildly joked as he lent a hand to Xiao Ning.

"Stinking brat! What are you so smug about?!" Xiao Ning scowled as he reluctantly accepted the help. Xiao Yu glanced at the resting fellow with displease.

"He Xue-Zhang, were you deliberately trying to torture us?" Xiao Ning demanded as she put her arms to her hips in displease. The fellow smirked as he was done acting.

"Hehe.. It couldn't be helped! Professor's orders! If you want to go to the backdoor, naturally you must undergo a test!" He lifted himself up and presented to the group.

"Congratulations everyone, you all have passed! But there is something more important... Beautiful lady~ after this test, would you oblige me and have dinner with me?" The fellow went down and lent a hand to Xun-Er, who was surprised at the act. Xiao Yu twitched in anger.

"HE XUE-ZHANG! YOUR BAD HABIT IS ACTING UP AGAIN! CAN'T YOU MAINTAIN THAT COOL HANDSOME EXTERIOR LONGER?!" Xiao Yu punched the lights of the fellow, sending him flying to the skies, blinking and disappearing into the horizon with a blink.

*Team Rocket's blasting off agaaaaainnnnn!!!*

[AN: Poor guy. He didn't know the power of angry anime women at first... Rest in peace, dude. Don't make women angry. The horrors... Mark also knows it all.]

The rest sweatdropped in confusion as the fellow was gone to the skies, disappeared from their sights. Xiao Yu sighed and refocused her task.

"If we continue going in, we will reach Professor Ruo Ling." A large scruffle was heard from the group. "Hmm? What's that sound coming from?" Xiao Ning asked.

Suddenly, a flying body of a male crashed in front of the group. The young male was in major injures and was bleeding on the ground. Yan turned to see an arrogant looking student.

"Newbie! Don't think you can start getting cocky after you've passed the test! Don't you know how to listen to your Xue-Zhang's instructions? All of you will kneel down in front of me now!" The arrogant student demanded. The new applicants grit their teeth and kneeled in front of the senior. All of them were severely injured.

"Luo Bo! What are you doing?!" Xiao Yu demanded to the arrogant student, who smirked.

"Nothing much, just teaching them how to respect their seniors!" The arrogant student looked down upon the fallen young teen.

"Newbies.. How can we not show them who's the boss around here!" The arrogant student smirked cockily as he was satisifed of the audience. The young teen spat blood from his mouth.

"Peh! I only kneel to heaven, earth, and my parents... Why should I kneel to you?!" The young teen shouted back in defiance. The arrogant student 'tch'-ed in annoyance.

"You're still so stubborn, stinking brat!" The arrogant student flared his leg with Dou-Qi and swiftly went for kick to the fallen teen. The fallen teen closed his eyes in fear, but there was no pain or a kick.

"Eh?" The young teen replied in confusion.

Yan had punched the lights out of the arrogant student before he could even kick the teen, sending him flying away from the attack.

Yan frowned as he clenched his fist tighter. Meanwhile, Xiao Yu watched in awe. 'Luo Bu is at least a 2-star Practitioner, that one hit... What rank has Xiao Yan trained himself up to...' She thought.

"Stand up! What's your name?" Yan helped the young teen up.

"Ah... Ah Tai." The young teen hesitantly answered, still confused of the sudden help. Yan's eyes turned serious.

"Ah Tai, you have courage, but on this Dou Continent, only the people with strength will never face disgrace." Yan advised to the young teen. Yan glared at the arrogant student, who was injured from the attack.

"The only thing I can't stand the most is seeing the strong bully the weak!" Yan kicked the arrogant student from his gut, sending him flying to the walls.

As the arrogant student screamed as he flew to the walls in great speeds, the impact was lessened as a sudden water bubble surrounded the student safely.

"Huh? Who is it?!" Yan shouted, later realising what he had done. He was almost letting his emotions take control of him. Mark had specifically told him that 'letting your emotions completely control of yourself is a bad idea', and he followed the rule.

He was just so angry seeing the strong bullying the weak with their arrogance. Yan knew this feeling of despair because he had suffered this for three years. Had he not have used self-control, the student would be dead because of his anger.

That would just make him another power-hungry tyrant that would've been no better than arrogant people. Just a tyrant, not liking what he doesn't, and controlling everything unfairly.

He was later surprised and confused when he heard... clapping. "What a powerful freshman. It seems like we've his the jackpot in this round of enrolments." A beautiful and matured woman, showing genuine gentleness, like the water, clapped as she complimented.

"Professor Ruo Ling!" Xiao Yu happily called out.

"Oh.. Professor, I... I was.." The arrogant student stuttered. Ruo Ling dismissed the student and went over to Ah Tai.

"Come, let me have a look." Ruo Ling kindly asked with warmth. Ah Tai walked towards the professor, as she lent a hand to his body and healed him with warm light.

'Wah... So this is the recovery arts of Water Element Dou-Qi?' Yan mentally said to himself, awestruck of the healing prowess of the Water Element.

"Are you fine now?" The professor kindly asked with concern. "Wah... I'm... I'm fine, I'm fine now!" Ah Tai stuttered. She smiled in kindred. "Hmm. That's good to know."

Xiao Yu ran and lept to her favourited Professor who she thought of an older sister and hugged her. "Professor Ruo Ling! Xiao Yu has missed you to death!" She happily called out.

"You silly girl!" Professor Ruo Ling accepted the warm hug and smiled. Later, she glanced to Yan's direction.

"This seemingly strong young man you've brought here, could you report your name and rank?" Ruo Ling asked, calmly and gently. Yan was totally convinced Professor Ruo Ling was a great person of respect.

"I'm Xiao Yan. For my rank.. It should be around 4-star Practitioner level..." Yan said, amazed from gentle beauty from the Professor, compared to immature girls.

"So you're Xiao Yan... So in this round of enrolments, your rank should be the highest among all the freshman?" She asked gently. Yan scratched his head.

"That may not be so..." He confessed.

"Oh?" She replied curiously.

"Right... Xun-Er?" He looked at Xun-Er. "Hee. I really cannot seem to hide anything from Xiao Yan Ge-Ge." She amusedly replied.

"Xiao Xun-Er, 16 years old, 6-star Practitioner!" She stated, shocking both of the members from the Jia Nan Academy. Ruo Ling giggled in amusement.

'A 16 year old 6-star Practitioner, and the other is a genius who reached 4-star Practitioner in a year... That little devilish girl back at the academy may have met her match...' She thought in amusment.

"With your strength, entering Jia Nan Academy will not be a problem. Seven days later, a flying carriage will arrive to bring you to the Academy." She explained.

"Eh.. Professor Ruo Ling, actually... I have a request to make. I may not make it seven days later, is it possible for leave of absence...." Yan asked. Ruo Ling's eyes turned to confusion and surprise at the request.

"Oh? Leave? How long do you require?" She asked in curiousness. Yan lifted a finger.

"One year!" Yan requested with a smile.

'Xiao Yan Ge-Ge?..' Xun-Er thought in confusion. Ruo Ling's eyes saddened and softened into long-awaited breaks.

"One year? I would like that kind of leave as well!" She confessed, wanting to take a break from the horrors of paperwork and schooling. Yan greeted apologetically.

"I'm sorry, Professor Ruo Ling, I know this is rather sudden as well... But I have something I need to complete. I must have this leave, or else I would rather come again next year to re-attempt enrolment!" Yan explained. Ruo Ling 'hmm'-ed at the statement. Nodding in acceptance, she agreed his request.

"Alright, this one year's worth of leave, I can give it to you... But..." She trailed off, taking a moment of silence. Suddenly, a sword was shot out of the Professor's hands towards Yan.

Time became slow to Yan as he bent over his body and grabbed the sword in motion. It happened so fast, it was over in a second.

Silence.

Ruo Ling furiously blinked in dumbstruck as the shock came to her. She wanted to test the young man of his fears and confidence, so she would stop the sword in front of the young man's face.

But she didn't expect him to catch it so quickly and swiftly. She was caught off-guard at the sudden show of skill... Said young man stared at the sword that was in his hand and then to her.

"Was I supposed to use that?..." The young man asked in confusion. The Professor snapped back into reality and held a calm face, slightly showing her shock.

"... Yes. Ahem, in order to have one year's worth of leave, you must be able to walk away twenty hits dealt from this Great Master!" She flared her Water Element Dou-Qi as she manifested a solid water whip of Dou-Qi.

Yan smirked in excitement. "Alright, I'll accept!" He flared his Dou-Qi into the sword. Ruo Ling smiled at the eagerness. Oh how young people nowadays...

"Xiao Yan, you should be careful!" Ruo Ling advised and snapped her whip towards Yan, like a thundercrack. Fortunately, Yan had expected the attack and defended the strike by using Soresu.

As Yan continued to defend multiple strikes from the Professor, he changed tactics. The sword was too unfamilar and too restrictive for Yan's Soresu to fully bloom. As Yan lept from the strike of the whip, he positioned himself in charging.

"Hmph, he is courting his own death, Professor Ruo Ling is after all a 5-star Grandmaster!" The arrogant student snarked in arrogance.

Xiao Yu huffed in amusement and smugness. "At least he has courage! Could you have done it?" The arrogant student bit his tongue in shame.

As Ruo Ling manifested her 'watery' Dou-Qi, they spiralled into spikes of spinning water to Yan, who lept over the attacks swiftly. "Not bad!" She complimented, normally people would be over in a couple of seconds.

Yan smirked in mid-air. "In the end, I'm still not used to using weapons! Here's your sword back! YEET!" Yan spun the unsuitable blade and pulling away his leg, he kicked it on the pommel of the blade, sending it straight like a missile.

Surprised at the quick speeds of the sword, her eyes narrowed slightly, still maintaining her smile of respect, and casted a Dou-Qi forcefield.

Skill: Force-Nullifying Water Mirror!

A circular dome of protective reflective water Dou-Qi envelopped the Professor, as the sword shattered into pieces upon the contact of the barrier. Using the broken pieces of the sword, she shot out the pieces to Yan in quick speeds.

Yan narrowed his eyes and used Vacuum Palm to change his position on the air and his feet met the ground. Kicking himself from the ground, he charged towards the Professor.

Stone Splitting Kick! Stone Shattering Palm! Fire Blowing Palm!

Yan tried almost all of the tricks and skills he thought of to break the barrier. Meanwhile, Xiao Yu was awe at the skill levels of what Yan had. The arrogant student dropped his jaw in disbelief.

'It seems that Professor Ruo Ling is using at most of half of her strength...' Xun-Er deducted, concerned and worried of the outcome. Will Yan succeed? Or will he be in injuries?...

Ruo Ling, deciding that it was enough, she needed to end the battle. "Heh!" A whip was tied around Yan's arm, restricting his movement. Yan widened his eyes in surprise.

"It seems like your request for leave will not be fufilled!" She went to stop Yan. Quickly thinking, Yan charged his fist with Octadic Smash and caused a shockwave of energy to send him flying from it.

As Yan was sent flying in the air, he widened his eyes as he sensed Professor Ruo Ling charging an enormous amount of Dou-Qi. "Let's end it here." She calmly stated.

Xuan (Black) Rank, Mid-Tier! Elegant Water Cyclone!

The waters around her formed into a giant water python of destruction, and hissed towards Yan, who was still falling in mid-air.

"Professor actually used that move?!" Xiao Yu, shocked that Yan would force Professor Ruo Ling to use her offensive attacks.

'Ugh, shit. Master, some help over here?...' Yan asked as the large water python hissed towards him menacingly. He may have faced much more worse things in the past (i.e. Mark), but it still didn't made him fearless!

'Haha! Don't worry. You should've realised it now! Compared to others, who are truly strong, you are still lacking, Xiao Yan Zi...' His master advised him. The python crashed upon him into a huge explosion.

'Yeah, no shit. Mark's the living proof of that...' Yan deadpanned inside the water while he crossed his arms in displeasure. Fuckin' Mark was scary...

As the water exploded into the ground, steam smoked from the area. "Yu-Er, carry him back and get his injuries treated. He could have..." She asked Xiao Yu.

"Could have what?" Yan's voice called out from the steam explosion, shocking Ruo Ling to widen her eyes. Yan smiled apologetically.

"I'm sorry, Professor Ruo Ling... But it seems I will be taking this one year of leave..." He replied, a strand of blood dripping from his mouth.

'There is truly something more than meets the eye! Seems like he could be hiding an even greater secret! The swordsmanship he utilised... I've never seen anything like it...' She mentally commented, remembering when the young man used an unknown art of swordsmanship, though he had some difficulty showing this, but nonetheless, defensive and elegant.

"Hehe, I just got lucky. Had Professor Ruo Ling used her full strength, I couldn't have lasted five more moves... For my leave..." Yan scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

Ruo Ling breathed out a small breath in acceptance, and allowed the boy what he wanted and hid a small smile.

"Approved! We will be waiting for you at Jia Nan Academy in one year's time!" She accepted the request. Excitement and achievement grew into Yan as he liked succeeding.

"Yes!..." He shouted out, letting his inner-child in achievement and proudness. Ruo Ling smiled at the sight and mentally chuckled at the young man's antics. It seemed too cute for a young growing lion to act like an adorable lion pup.

Though, her eyes gleamed in curiousity. "Though, if I may ask, who has taught you your swordsmanship? As a user of swordsmanship, I haven't seen anything like it." She asked to Yan. Yan froze.

"Uh... I was kinda taught by... My my... adoptive brother?" Yan replied, mixing his answers. Sure, he was taught by Mark, his supposed 'adoptive' brother, but how was he going to explain without revealing his secret training?...

"Your... adoptive brother?" Ruo Ling's eyes showed curiousity and confusion. Yan rubbed his head in awkwardness.

"He's usually busy... I wouldn't think of meeting him right now. Not the best time..." Yan replied, knowing that Mark would trai- AHEM, KILL him for interrupting his 'beauty sleep'.

"I.. see..." Ruo Ling in which replied, growing more curious to meet the young man. What she witnessed was a technique refined into elegance and defensive, fitted for unlimited protection and defense.

While she knew that most people frowned upon using swords and instead of going bashing crude brawls, she was surprised at the elegance and refinement of the techniques the young man had showed.

While it was crude and limited, there was a chance that it could fully blossom into the right hands and the right blades. She gained an interest to this mysterious young man, and whom possibly created a new style of swordsmanship to the world of the Dou Continent...

...

As for said young man who mastered the whole complete lightsaber combat of Star Wars, I was dealing with a very pissed off Em. (She was the snake in Chapter 8, who missed like 16 chapters of screentime)

"I hate you Master! I REALLY hate you!" Em hissed her poisonous fangs dangerously to my body as I struggled to keep her away.

"Now, WHY are you hating me all the sudden?!" I called out in retort, very confused of Em's sudden hatred of me, dodging another strike from her.

"I hate you Master... For LEAVING ME ALONE FOR MANY MONTHS! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW LONELY IT WAS, TRAPPED INSIDE A INVISIBLE BOX WHERE NOWHERE CAN HEAR YOU?! I HAD TO RELY ON MY DOU-QI UNTIL YOU FINALLY NOTICED ME!" Em cried/shouted out in hatred and depression, hunger and betrayal filling to her voice. I raised an eyebrow. In fact, I knew how lonely and painful inside an invisible box was.

"I THOUGHT YOU FORGAVE ME! I COOKED YOU, LIKE, HUNDREDS OF FUCKIN' MEALS!" I called out as I narrowedly missed a strike from Em. Em cried out tears (which was impossible, snakes physically can't FUCKING. CRY.) from her eyes and continued to attack me.

"I KNOW! IT WAS VERY DELISHIOUS, AND I HATE YOU FOR THAT!!!~" She suddenly slammed hard to the ground in pain, crying tears as she made a small puddle. I sweatdropped.

"WHEN WE FIRST MET, YOU FORGAVE ME AND TOOK ME IN WHEN I HURT YOU! YOU KEPT ME INSIDE AN INVISBLE BOX WITHOUT YOU REALISING, AND YOU APPOLOGIED FOR THAT BY GIVING ME VERY DELICIOUS FOODS! WHY WON'T YOU SAY THAT I'M A WORTHLESS SNAKE?! ALL I'VE DONE WAS TO BE FED BY YOUR KINDNESS BUT I HAVEN'T RETURNED THE THANKS! SAY IT! SAY THAT I NEED TO BE BANISHED BECAUSE I'M A BAD SNAKE! SAY IT!!!!" Em bellowed out, she was guilty and mad at herself, for enjoying all this while I gave her kindness and she didn't gave it back.

"And you... return your thanks... By killing me?..." I replied out in dumbstruck, already knowing that Em had her reasons for being angry, but... Seriously? Killing me is how you return your thanks?...

"Sniff, sniff..." Em's eyes teared up and gave me the sad puppy stare. Fu-

-uuuck.... I literally can't deal, with sad puppy stares... Nobody does. Wait, I'm a nobody, does that count as me able to deal with sad puppy stares? No, it doesn't work like that, and Em's continuing to cry sad tears from her eyes...

"Alright. Come're..." I sighed and pulled her close to my chest and hugged her. Em looked just as surprised as everybody were.

"W-why are you helping me?... I-i was just a b-bad snake... I-i tried to kill you..." Em cried out in confusion and disbelief, tears wetting my shirt. I sighed and determined myself.

"Everyone can be forgiven... It's just... you need to forgive at the right time, or you'll lose that chance..." I pat her warmly and carefully, causing her to tear up.

"sniff, sniff... WWWWAAAAAAHHHHHH!....." The dam bursted from her eyes as she cried out a waterfall of tears, while I was deadpanning and patting her at the same time.

"There, there... get it all out of your system..." I advised to Em, who continued to keep crying.

At this point, I'm basically a big-brotherly character role in this plot...

...

"Woah! That's the Professor from the Jia Nan Academy!" "I heard Xiao Yan and the Professor had an intense sparring match!" The rumors spread like wildfire inside the Xiao Clan.

"Welcome Professor, you've honored our clan with your visit, come in please!" Xiao Zhan respectfully greeted the Professor. Ruo Ling smiled gently and kindly.

"I've long heard of Clan Leader Xiao's great name, seeing you today, you are truly gallant and remarkable!" She smiled as the background lighting shone her beauty. Xiao Zhan slightly blushed.

"Haha, Professor, you flatter me... Eh? Where did that Yan-Er brat go?"

...

In the Mitre Auction House, Yan and Ya Fei were having a conversation of Yan's long trip.

"Xiao Yan Di-Di (suffix for Little Brother), everything you asked for is in this Ring. It seems like it will be a long trip this time?" Ya Fei asked. Yan nodded.

"Yes, it will take at least a year." He replied and respectfully greeted back to Ya Fei.

"After I leave, I must trouble Ya Fei Jie-Jie to help look after the Xiao Clan, in the future, should you need anything for me, Xiao Yan will surely help to the best of my abilities!" He vowed and thanked. To this kind response, Ya Fei smiled instead.

"Don't worry. Since you've already addressed me as Jie-Jie (suffix for Older Sister), how can I refuse the request that you've asked of me?" Ya Fei waved her hand in accepting thanks.

"I wonder how much you will have progressed when you return after the trip..." She sadly whispered. Suddenly, she embraced Yan warmly.

"I have never seen anyone else like you with such endless potential, one day you will stand above the others. Promise Jie-Jie, come back alive!" She asked in a elder sisterly figure missing her cute little brother. But no words came from Yan.

"Ya Fei Jie-Jie, please let me go..." "Eh?" "I'm suffocating..." They both sweatdropped as Yan's breathing were blocked by Ya Fei's breasts.

"Yikes~ Sorry!" Ya Fei quickly pulled off the hug and blushed as she giggled. Yan frowned as his face was beet red embarrassment.

"It is truly 'All boobs, and no brain'!" Yan replied in embarrassment.

"Rascal! Who are you saying has no brain?"

...

In the Xiao Residence, at night, the Xiao Patriarch relaxed on the tubby bath of steaming water.

"Phew... Soaking in a bath feels the best~ Servants! Come scrub my back!" He ordered, as he leaned on the ledge and showed his bare back. A clothed hand came and scrubed his back. Xiao Zhan chuckled as he knew who it was.

"Brat, don't think that I don't know it's you, just because you're not making a sound..." Xiao Zhan called out to the smiling Yan, he 'heh'-ed in response.

"I already know about the one year leave you will be taking. Are you here to tell me about that?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"Father..." Yan trailed off.

"Heh, just go. You've grown up, it's about time you see the world. The hatchling has grown up, and should take the skies!" Xiao Zhan let him go, respecting his son's wishes to expand his horizons.

"... I will be gone for at least a year, so let me do something for you tonight. Father..." Yan wanted to spend every second of their limited time.

"You know... with such a pretty professor, if it were me, even if I had to die, I wouldn't have taken leave..." ". . . ." "Professor Ruo Ling is truly gentle like calm water, I wonder if she's married..." ". . . ." "Move the scrub down... To the right..."

Yan stretched his arms after he finished scrubing his father's back. It was a exhausting task to do, but however Mark's 'teaching' skills already dealt with the exhaustion.

"Phew..." He sighed as he saw the pale moonlight.

'Eh? Xun-Er's house...' He later noticed Xun-Er's house while he was walking unconsciously.

'I unknowningly walked into here... There are still lights, has she not slept?...' He wondered, concerned for his long-time childhood friend.

He spotted a childish wood carving of Xun-Er in one of the doors. He laid his hand and felt the nostalgia of his childhood.

'Xun-Er, Xun-Er! Look at this carving I did! Isn't it nice?' 'It's so uglyyy! Xiao Yan Ge-Ge is so annoying~' He remembered the times and childhood when he was just a young boy. He smiled at the welcoming nostalgia.

'Xun-Er, being unable to go to the Academy together, you must've been so disappointed... But, how am I going to explain?...' He stopped his hand from knocking her door.

"Xun-Er, I must go train for a year!" "No, too stiff..."

"Even if you build a thousand-li canopy, there is no banquet that never ends... One year will pass very fast, if- What am I saying?..." He clutched his head in frustration. What was wrong with him?...

"Silly idiot!" Yan froze as he knew her voice.

"Such an important matter, when were you planning on telling me?" Xun-Er demanded from behind. Yan panicked as Xun-Er saw him.

"I'm sorry! It's not that I didn't want to tell you, but..." Xun-Er's eyes showed betrayal and sorrow as she turned her face away from Yan.

"Isn't it because of that meeting at Yun Lan Sect in a year's time that you're so anxious to get strong?" Yan's heart stopped. No words came his mouth, and Xun-Er felt sorrow.

She was right.

"All you ever think about is Na-Lan Yan-Ran... But you were never ever concerned about Xun-Er!" She ran away from Yan, leaving a heart-broken MC alone.

"Xun-Er!..." It was no use. She was already gone now. He looked down in sorrow and saddness as he felt one of his heart pieces were gone.

"Silly girl... It's because you're that important to me... That I didn't know how to say goodbye to you..." Yan whispered quietly.

...

Now, seeing Yan depressed wasn't so surprising. But giving no fucks about taking the favourite couch spot of the most poisonous snake in the Continent?

I'll get the antidote.

If I can create it on time, that is...

"Umph! Umph! Get off, you human! You're squishing me!" Em angrily hissed out as she wiggled around her serpent body to escape Yan's lying body. I rolled my eyes and pulled her out of the couch.

And then Em... cursed something in Snake Language and WOW SHE CAN CURSE LIKE A SAILOR. The curses keep coming and coming and she complained about her back hurting like hell...

Ignoring her curses of casually murdering the MC again (he died before, remember?), I sat down the ledges of the couch and stared down at the depressed MC.

"Lemme guess, the yandere said that you didn't care about her." I gave him a flat stare. His eyes were covered by his arm, but he slowly nodded nonetheless.

I sighed. "The chances of her saying the truth- Yeah, she's lying." Yan quickly got up and stared at my eyes in seriousness.

"Ironically, I know Xun-Er better than you do. She knows that you do deeply care about her, even when you don't show it, but she knows you love her." I quickly replied. Yan narrowed his eyes.

"Then... why did she say that?..." He asked. I mentally groaned at the fact I have to be a fucking wingman to both of these characters AGAIN.

"She probably said that because... Well, you didn't actually show your 'love' to Xun-Er. She's probably confused if she knows that you ACTUALLY love her, or not. The minds of females are complicated these days..." And it's because I'm not a woman!

"... What should I do? Should I continue my journey? Of course, I should. But, what about Xun-Er?...." Yan confessed his turmoil emotions. I let out a deep breath.

I slapped across the face.

Yan looked just as surprised as Em because she was surprised at the loud snaping sound of the slap. Yan was giving the 'surprised pikachu face' to me.

"Oi. Why don't you just shut up and sleep for the day. Xun-Er's probably going to send you a message, blah blah blah, FUCKIN' SLEP!" I angrily decked the lights of Yan and whacked him unconscious. His unconscious body hit the soft fabrics of the couch and drifted to sleep.

I cracked my neck and stretched my body and my arms.

"I'm too old to deal with this shit..." I muttered.

...

Yan stared at the hanged dead body of Mark. He was dangling to the ceiling while a noose tied around his neck. Yan rubbed his eyes and checked again if he wasn't dreaming.

"The first thing I see, is a dead body in the morning..." Yan flatly replied. Grabbing a nearby stick, he poked the hovering body of Mark to poke him awake.

"SNIFF! Who did this?..." Mark suddenly woke up from his sleep and stared the ground in confusion. Yan flatly stared at Mark in ridiculousness. Mark turned to Yan with a look that said 'what the fuck is this'.

"I... have no single clue what is going on." Yan geniunely confessed, getting a nod of approval from Mark. With a unamused expression, Mark pulled out his Deagle and shot the noose tying him down.

Mark crashed down loudly from the ceiling, dust blowing everywhere from the crash. Yan, uncomfortable from all the dust, waved his hands to move out the dust from his face.

Mark got up, dusting off his blazer and pants and pulled away the noose around his neck. He stared down the noose with a deadpan.

"Handiwork of F, I see." He casually threw away the noose behind his shoulders, accidentally waking up Em with a cry of hissing.

"Let's get prepared. Wheels up, boys!" He quickly ran towards his room and prepared LOUDLY. Yan heard a dangerous sounding spark coming his room... He rolled his eyes and prepared himself.

...

All dressed in traveler style clothing, Yan stepped outside the room with determined steps. The sun was shining his steps, as if another step to greatness was taken again.

"Xiao Yan Zi, let's set off!" His master told him.

"Yes!" He said.

"Told you! She did leave a message..." Mark's sudden voice came from behind. Mark was holding a large bag of equipment, tools, and stuff he needed for exploring.

He handed a jade bracelet. "Isn't this bracelet.." He remembered the bracelet in which he bought for her in the Market Square. Lao had a teasing grin on his face.

"It's the end, even the token of love has been returned! You've. Been. Dumped!" Lao pointed comically to Yan.

"EEEEEHHHH?!! Is it really like that?!" Yan snapped his head towards his master in disbelief. Suddenly, the bracelet glowed as Yan contacted it.

"Woah! Dou-Qi Seal?!" A hologram of Dou-Qi appeared from the bracelet, showing Xun-Er's message. She smiled at Yan.

"I'm sorry, Xiao Yan Ge-Ge. Please forgive my stuborness. I will be waiting for your return at Jia Nan Academy..." The holographic message disappeared in front of Yan. Yan, the heavy feeling weighing down on his heart was mysteriously gone.

'Xun-Er...' Yan remembered everything about Xun-Er. Her smiles. Her laughter. Her kindness... Determined, his eyes flared like a phoenix rising from its ashes.

"Master! Let's go!" He called out. Lao grinned and followed him. Mark rolled his eyes in obiviousness.

"Right, let's go mothafockas!" Mark shouted out, and ran towards Yan.

'One year later, I will definitely go to Jia Nan Academy to look for you! Wait for me, Xun-Er!' He vowed, determined to meet Xun-Er after his long trip.

Omake: A Preview (RWBY) of the Horrors of Paperwork

Glynda Goodwitch sighed in exhaustion as she rested a hand on her head. "You have no idea how exhausting it is to teach... Children." She calmly sipped the tea.

Paperwork and Schooling was a difficult task, even those in multiverse...

Professor Ruo Ling smiled in sympathy. "I know, teaching children is a hard task to endure... But they grow 'better' every year." She advised to the Huntress. Glynda formed a small smile of compassion.

"I highly doubt that. I've been teaching for billions of years, and the horrors of paperwork worsen every year." Mark deadpanned and refilled his mug.

The professors sagely nodded in compassion as they knew how paperwork couldn't get any worse. Mark calmly sipped on his mug.

"Take from my experience. Get another person to help your work. It's a gamble, could get worse or get better, but that's what I think." Mark quoted. The professors added a mental note for that.

"I dare hope they will... For the ones in hardship." Glynda raised her teacup. Ruo Ling raised hers in response and smiled. Mark rolled his eyes and did the same reluctantly.

"For the ones in hardship." They all chanted, and sipped on their tea.

Glynda blinked in welcoming surprise as she inspected her drink. "I've never had a good enough tea in my entire life. Who made this?" Ruo Ling had the same question on her face as well.

"I did. Tis' my excellent 'Calming Thinking Tea' formula. Helps with paperwork, and it's also scientifically better than coffee. Rather than using all of your energy like coffee, this tea just gives energy and helps your body. Sadly, the ingredients are hard to find..." Mark explained as he sipped on his mug.

"May I... have the recipe?" Ruo Ling carefully and slightly enthusiastically asked. Mark sighed.

"Can't. Locked in my brain, I just unconsciously create it. Can't help you with your paperwork..." Mark replied, causing the professors to mentally curse.

"That is a shame. I really hoped that it would make my life easier..." Glynda confessed, expecting that Mark's tea formula would help her life.

"There are no shortcuts in life. Have patience, and endure!" Mark quoted.
