Chapter 17-Kayda...

Itachi soon made his way out the classroom towards the large battlefield in the center of the campus.

Apparently if he beat Derrick in a fight, his overall rank would go up a lot. Which Itachi wasn't going to say no to.

He made his way over followed by Gabriella and a couple other students who heard about the showdown.

He planned to mostly use his physical body since it would be too easy if he used his elements. He could tell the man was strong for a high tier mage, but his body couldn't compare to Itachi's enhanced by 6 elements before his 3rd awakening, and Itachi had farther noticed the effects of being in demonization for a long period of time had greatly changed his body to adapt making it even stronger than it would have been.

Gabriella stares at the two students facing off curiously. Ever since she had heard his elements, she was dying to see how strong he was. She had to admit, he had a great composition of elements. Lightning for destructive frontal attacks while space and wind were both very versatile.

Derrick was a lightning summon earth mage who definitely earned his place in the top twenty. His contract summon was a strong warrior ranked Scorpion beast he had gotten in Nevada that still had a lot of potential for growth while both his earth and lightning were at high tier giving him very destructive attacks.

Earth gave him the petrification ability that was very hard to block while the Lonely Death Lightning was almost capable of penetrating anything moving at high speeds.

Starting off the match Derrick did not underestimate his opponent at all immediately shooting off many destructive mid tier lightning bolts while he summoned his contract beast to defend him from any sudden attacks.

He was greatly shocked though when Itachi disappeared straight in front of him with little sign to show where he was going. Seeing a white circle to his left, he immediately commanded his Scorpion beast to lunge while a smirking Itachi appeared in place.

"You should keep your beast on a tight leash" Itachi said before activating wind track to dash to the side before fiercely kicking the beast in its side cracking its shell before it was sent flying.

"Holy shit" Gabriella shouted out seeing the strong warrior being kicked aside. 'While mages were greatly strengthened by magic, this mans physical strength was insane' Admittedly she could easily take down minions barehanded, but Warriors were much stronger.

Recovery from his shock Derrick immediately activating his strongest earth magic, petrification convinced that he wouldn't be able to teleport in time. He was quickly interrupted however when Itachi casted a fierce tornado that immediately shook the arena while wind blades slashed at the man threatening to take his life.

Immediately abandoning the attempt at high tier magic, he put up an earth dome to protect from the blows while he charged up a frightening high tier Lonely Death Lightning strike which he shot towards Itachi penetrating directly through the wind.

Unflustered, he immediately teleported once again shocking the man with how quickly he could cast the high tier magic.

Turning he immediately charged up a mid tier lightning bolt, but it was too late and a solid kick to the ribs had him flying across the arena down for the count.

He turned to face the others who were currently looking at him in surprise at the ease he had taken down their ranked 20th. Looking up he smiled after hearing Gabriella's tsun words "Hmmph I could have beat him just as easily, don't get cocky" she said before stomping out of the arena.

Walking over he helped Derrick up not having anything against the brawny man.

"What's her deal" he asked since he did not know anything about her.

"Dude you don't know? Her father is the head of the American mage association. One of the strongest mages in the world. You probably shouldn't offend her"

Internally grinning Itachi thought 'so that's why she acts like such a princess' he thanked him before walking back. He was quite bored so he decided to go to the beach. Honestly with his strength he wasn't even that worried about monsters unless a very strong monarch showed up or an Emperor which he was no match for.

He leapt up into the air, his 4 wind wings immediately unfurling around him as he shot through the sky towards the ocean nearly breaking the sound barrier from his Heavenly seed along with the star upgrade. He dove straight into the ocean shooting through at rapid speeds before flying out again.

He still greatly enjoyed flying as it was the dream of most to soar through the sky. He planned to go awaken later undercover since he had yet to awaken another three elements since he had broken through to high tier. He was already level 2 in all his high tier elements with 2 more to go till the peak and he would be able to reach super tier.

Passing a couple weak sea monsters he only had to shoot a few novice lightning spells to completely destroy them.

He felt a large ripple in the ocean and he immediately turned to face towards the north where he could faintly see in the distance a large splash of water shooting hundreds of meters into the sky.

Shooting over he quickly approached what seemed to be a group of high and mid tier mages fighting off a strong commander level chieftain that seemed to be pushing them back as light shields and water shields were completely shattered on contact while attack magic seemed to have no serious effect.

One brown haired girl seemed to be taking charge while she casting destructive yellow high tier fire magic the Heavenly Flame Burial attack that shot a wall of flames greatly pushing back the beast who had been just about to eat another student. She also froze a large portion of sea with strong ice magic that

gave students a stable foothold to fight off the beasts.

They were slowly retreating towards the shore while the beast attacked.

A male student casted high tier curse magic causing the beast to roar in agony as it's soul was being tortured by the magic. The same male then casted tens of shadow spikes to try to hold the beast in place fiercely stabbing into it draining the energy. It looked like they would manage to defeat the beast as the other students closed around it, but out of nowhere came a another shark chieftain this time followed by a few dozen warrior ranked sharks that immediately caught the students off guard.

Seeing the danger, the girl quickly called out to retreat as they dashed towards the sea wall to regroup. While they were labeled sharks, they were perfectly capable of moving on land with webbed like feet and claws that could move at a surprising speed.

The ice around them shattered as many students used movement abilities to get away while the girl stayed behind shooting out flames and ice alike to hold the beasts back.

She suddenly yelped out as the ice beaneath her shattered completely with the fierce commander shark shooting towards her in the wate stretching its jaws wide to swallow her whole.

Closing her eyes she thought 'is this how I'm going to die' as she heard the distant yells of her friends shouting out to her.

Suddenly a blur shot past her lifting her straight from the jaws of death that sped through the air instantly arriving at the beach.

Itachi looked down at the brown haired beauty who still had her eyes shut tight in fear.

Her eyes slowly fluttered open looking meeting the eyes of a handsome blond haired man who stared down at her concerned "Are you alright" he asked in a worried tone

She quickly muttered that she was ok surprised why she felt so safe in his warm arms. 'Why is he making me feel this way?' she thought a red blush giving her cheeks a rosy hue creeping up while an angry shout sounded out "get your hands off her"

Itachi turned to face the male who had shown the curse and shadow elements when fighting the beasts

"And who are you?"

"I'm Liam Williams, son of the the 2nd council member on the American magic association board and how dare you touch her"

Itachi set the brown haired beauty down gently who angrily looked up at the approaching figure "He just saved my life, while you ran away like a coward" she said mad that this arrogant fool things it's his business to interfere in her life.

He looked down with distain at Itachi "just a weak wind mage, he wouldn't last a second against my curse magic. After all, I'm ranked 8th in the school."

Smirking a bit Itachi looked at this walking cliche "Are you dumb? I'm a high tier mage yet you judge me on one element?"

Deciding some people need a painful lesson he picked up the now screaming daddy's boy with his telekinesis before ruthlessly slamming him into the oceans surface.

"Now that that pest is out of the way, Ima go take care of the sharks. Take care beautiful" he said winking eliciting a blush from the girl as Itachi flew towards the shark.

'I haven't tested out my lightning enough he thought as immediately the constellation of stars appeared in his hand charging ups powerful blast enhanced by his spirit seed Immediately frying everything as a 20 meter thick beam of electricity came down from the sky electrocuting-everything inside the water as fish could be seen floating to the surface a mile away dead.

Most of the sharks were caught in the rest while the others were quickly impales by his steel spears he called out from his pocket dimension to pierce their skulls.

Sadly enough they pulled the curse mage out of the water in time so he was spared from the electricity, but he seemed to be unconscious with his lungs filled with water. Itachi pulled out his phone to record a male giving him mouth to mouth to resuscitate him. 'That's a keeper' he thought wondering if he should spread it around the school, or pull it out at a perfect time to piss him off this annoying man-child.

He returned to the girls side who was struggling to believe the ease he showed taking down the monsters. "I believe I never got your name" he said

Regaining some of her confidence she spoke up "Catherine Adams, Daughter of the head of the school. Fire and ice high tier mage ranked 6th in the school, thanks for helping me back their" she said cheerfully grabbing Itachis hand "you might want to be careful though. While you caught him by surprise, his curse magic is frightening and can damage your soul.

He also has a super tier mage father who might get angry for what you did"

She was surprised however when Itachi only smiled at this seemingly unconcerned. "I'll see you later, I have some things I need to do. It was nice to meet you Catherine, I'm Itachi" he said cordially before shooting off into the sky again.

Catherine watched his quickly receding figure with a bit of amazement. 'I didn't know we had such a strong space and lightning mage in our school. I'm going to have to ask my father.' She thought wondering who he was.

After a few minutes of flight, Itachi arrived in the city of Philadelphia. A city extremely popular for magic with it containing one of the largest magical associations in the United States as well as many auctions and markets for the sell of magic tools and rare items.

He touched down in front of the grand plaza much to the surprise of many others. Not paying them any attention he swiftly walked into the skyscraper housing the magic association as he requested an awakening.

Sir you need to book one in advance and they are 10,000 dollars. Taking out over 100,000$ from a sling bag on his back he dumped it out onto the table much to the shock of the receptionist. "If you could arrange one now that would be great. Otherwise I would have to go elsewhere"

Recovery from her stupor she immediately called her superior while Itachi patiently waited. Sure enough she soon pointed him towards a floor number which he traveled to.

Arriving to the office a strong middle aged man around 50 with black hair holding a tint of gray greeted him surprised at how young the man was.

"So are you here for a mid tier awakening?" He said curious at the youngster who would pay so much just to save time.

"No high tier" he said ignoring the shocked looks the man gave him.

"You must be quite the prodigy, are you planning to compete in the upcoming national championships?"

"Maybe" he vaguely replied "can you get the shadow awakening ball" he said tired of small talk

The man quickly called for it which was brought in by an assistant. "Good luck"he said before closing The doors giving his client some privacy.

Once again he found himself in that familiar mindscape as the energy inside there awakening ball guided him to find his elements.

The first thing he saw was a dark cloud of stardust coming into view giving a mysterious dangerous feeling that seemed to shift and change constantly.

'No doubt that's the shadow element' he thought excited at this prospect. One of the best thing a about shadow was it's stealth abilities. As long as he hid his magic from an opponent, it would be hard for them to tell where he was with the shadow element.

He could eavesdrop on conversations with no problem or he could shroud areas in darkness to hide something.

Next he ran across the familiar demon nebula inside him. This confirmed his thoughts that it would count as one of his elements, but he didn't mind too much. The energy directed into the nebula from the awakening seemed to increase its power and it was fully acknowledged by Itachi's body as his 8th element.

Next he went across a black and red stardust that emanates a chaotic energy that seemed to be able to tear apart anything or change into anything. While not much was known about the chaos element it was said to be able to change the laws of reality itself fully deserving its title with as high of potential as the space element.

Itachi was excited to explore its potential uses of the rare element. The first levels were said to change perspective altering the angle of attacks making it almost impossible to be hit. Mid tier could apparently absorb attacks before returning them twice as strong giving it a strong defensive ability that returned attacks to the owner.

Other abilities include chaos blades of energy that can cut through space itself if strong enough. While not much was known about the chaos element researchers agreed on one thing, it had unlimited potential.

There were even rumors that the highest levels could affect time, but no one could confirm it.

Taking his hand off the crystal ball he thanked the man and flew back towards the school in New York.

Arriving back to the school the first thing he heard as he stepped into the school was "Daddy, that's the guy who almost killed me"

A grin crept to Itachi's face as he couldn't have asked for a better result. He turned to face the strong looking man angrily looking at him. "Did you hurt my son?"

A group quickly gathered around as he spotted the blond Gabriella and the brown haired Catherine who both looked concerned at this.

Ignoring the question he quickly took out his phone before playing a video for all to see "Old man I think your son is gay. Here he is obviously making out with another man." He said eliciting a round of laughter from the surrounding students as Liams face grew beet red "he was giving me CPR you asshole because you nearly drowned me" he said angrily looking ready to attack Itachi.

"Are you sure you didn't fake drowning because you wanted mouth to mouth" Itachi boldly stated causing more laughs as Liam started casting high tier curse magic "you asked for it" he said while his father completely ignored the fact his son was assaulting another student.

The surrounding group hastily backed up while a few brave ones including Gabriella and Catherine immediately started protesting this action prepared to assist.

They were too late however as the high tier curse magic hit Itachi straight on who still had an unconcerned expression on his face.

His soul was completely protected and nobody could affect his magic due to his wishes.

Liams face immediately turned into astonishment as his magic had no affect on Itachi at all with the aforementioned person smiling lazily like this was a waste of time.

"Since you hit first, does that mean I can hit back?" Liam immediately became convinced that he had some sort of treasure on him protecting his soul and he stared at him angrily. "I would like to see what you would do when my father is around" he stated arrogantly as the others looked at him in distain. 'What daddy's girl' they thought 'Daddy's boy fitted the saying much better as they watched the spectacle going on.

Taking his words as a challenge Itachi suddenly teleported right up to the shocked mage. His father instacasted a fiery fist at Itachi, but he dashed to the side before roundhouse kicking Liam in the side sending him a couple meters into the sky with a loud crack being heard that obviously signified ribs being broken.

He turned to face the shocked suoer mage throwing a powerful high tier magic bolt without his spirit seed which he quickly threw up a rock barrier to defend from. Itachi immediately used gravity control to smash fiercely into the wall before shooting hundreds of rocks towards the mage with his telekinesis.

Although he was a super mage, he was only tier 1 in his strongest element which was fire. A good high tier mage could beat one with no problem if he prevented the casting of super magic that took a while and Itachi was much stronger than an ordinary high tier mage.

Overlapping wind track and decreased gravity Itachi in a blur appeared behind the mage who hastily threw up a Earth dome. While hoping to have time to complete his fire super magic as he truly felt a danger to his life.

Sadly Itachi did not give him a chance as a barrage of lightning mid tier shot down forcing him to focus solely on defense otherwise he would be electrocuted.

Covering himself with his highly defensive wind wings enhanced by his spirit seed he brought through the dome smashing apart the walls as his wings completely deflected the weak mid tier fire hastily thrown. Getting inside, Itachi fiercely brought his fist into the mages stomach throwing him through his own stone wall causing him to land heavily on the ground vomiting eveywhere.

Even though a super mage had a strong body, asking him to take one of Itachi's fists was a laughable joke.

The crowd watched stunned as he toyed around with the super mage 2nd elder. Some thought the elder was weak, but others simply realized that Itachi was just too strong.

The principal soon walked out to clear up the mess.

As soon as Liams father could speak he immediately began threatening to have Itachi expelled, but the principal quickly shot that down threatening to have him fired for attacking a student.

Itachi nodded in thanks to the principal before he flew off towards the Great Lakes to hunt some monsters and let out his summons.

After a 10 minutes of flight he arrived in front of Niagara Falls which was a hotspot for monsters. He soon let out Felix before moving on to his contract space to summon his favorite little dragon.

Lazily activating his mid tier summon magic, he was shocked when out came.... a little blond girl? Before a high pitched cute voice shouted out

"BIG BROTHER!!!!!!!"
