Chapter 71: Starting to face a huge problem

Violet, in her frilly dress arrived at the scene although her reason for her outing was just merely to buy dinner for Brother and Ava at their home she decided to check what's going on and found Cv causing the whole ruckus.

"It's nice to see you again... Cv."

Everyone managed to get out of the area while the only ones left were Violet and the invader droid.

She noticed the two heroes's corpses on the ground and a few civilians behind it, Violet hasn't forgotten those red eyes ever since they came back from their mission to rescue Ava.

"Why are you here Cv? I'll destroy you depending on your answer."

She aimed her sword at the droid in front of her showing her extreme blood lust although for a droid it can't sense it, but it's really there.

"To Ki--!."

Violet plunged towards it without letting it finish its answer but it managed to block her attack with its rapiers.

It backs away again, is it scared?, she thought to herself as she gets closer again, she swings with her full force at it but the droid would merely dodge her swings and avoid them.

"Running away? pretty much unlike you!."

The droid twitches around but this time it was the one heading towards her she says to herself "That's more like it!." and the two clashed, this time Cv could parry her strikes and two never landed any hits on each other.

Cv swung to the left as she dodged the strike and swung at the right It backs away once again as arrows landed on where Cv was.. and would've been hit if it didn't manage to back away.

Violet looked behind her and saw two Heroes have arrived, one was Atalanta and the other was Aiden.

He went rushing towards the droid while Atalanta was knocking her bow, aiming at the droid.

"Aiden be careful of it's rapiers, it's no fool."

"I mean it's a droid.. it's not the first time we've encountered one of these!."

Aiden aimed at the droid's legs as his strike was parried by it's two rapiers, What!?, he thought to himself.

The droid was about to pierce Aiden's eye when an arrow was shot towards its head, and the arrow was sliced in half as one of its rapiers sliced it and gave Aiden the window to escape.

Aiden went close to Violet and asked,

"Hey, I haven't seen you before what's your name?."

"Violet, from the Shining Knights group.. although we're not an actual squad yet."

The droid plunges towards both of them, Aiden and Violet went to both ways and the droid followed Violet, while she was running Aiden managed to surprised it by landing in between of them, but even with the element of surprise throwing it off.

It still managed to block Aiden's strike with both rapiers, but.. with both rapiers locked on to Aiden's sword, Violet came up from the side and managed to sliced off the droid's entire left arm off and it backs off away at them.

Three arrows managed to hit its remaining arm.. now unable to raise it, it was basically defenseless now.

"Lacking of power.. must.. escape..."

It throws the corpses of the two dead heroes, one at Aiden and Violet and one at Atlanta.

After moving the corpses away the droid itself was already gone, Aiden was enraged at the fact it got away.

"Heyy we need you to come with us please."

"Yes. ofcourse but may we stop by my Brother's place?."

"Ofcourse, do they have any information about that thing?."

"Well I believe he does."

"Good, lead the way."

Meanwhile Gwyn noticed all the ruckus from the inside of their van and tasked Frenda to scout what's going on so in short Frenda was present during the battle but couldn't do anything for she was only tasked to scout not attack.

Even if it meant leaving someone she knew to deal with the enemy in which they've encountered a few months ago, She was hiding in the buildings and watching the battle unfold through there.

"Geez what's taking her so long.."

"You don't think something might've happened to her?."

"Impossible, I've worked with Frenda way longer than any of you here and I know she won't get caught that easily."

She closes her eyes and lets out a sigh as she hears footsteps that are about to enter the door of the van.

"But we can't just sit here can we?."

"Come on Kix, Frenda's our senior here we have to put our faith into her."

Gwyn opens her eyes and smirks as the door opens and..

"That's right underclassmen, have faith in your senior here."

"Welcome back Frenda."

Frenda stretches after entering the van and takes a sit next to her leader and starts to tell them what she saw..

"Cv has returned."

After hearing that, the whole van was silent that even the outside noises would be loud as clear inside.

"Well after hearing about that droid during our rescue mission with the Shining Knights I never expected that thing to follow us all the way towards here."

"Well you have to remember that thing saved us in the cave leading to the outside so it makes sense that he's finally come here."

"Yeahh considering what happened to his friend.. I wouldn't blame the droid too."

"What else was there Frenda?."

"Ohh right! Violet the tomboyish knight from the Shining Knights was there.. although I kinda had a hard time keeping myself together seeing her in an outfit other than her armor."

"I see.. so there's a chance the Shining Knights are in this too."

"What should we do Leader?."

Gwyn was thinking on what to do from here.. if she joins with the Shining Knights they might be able to finish the job faster but if they do it on their own they may not be able to handle facing it.

They were still thinking about what to do next for who knows when that droid will start attacking again.

At the Shining Knights base, Violet who was being accompanied by Atalanta and Aiden, two famous heroes in the Red Wolves Squad.

"Bro-- Boss! we have a problem."

Cameron and Emilia were in the sofa merely watching tv about A Killer notebook, Emilia simply lays her head on Cameron's shoulder and then Connor comes down the stairs while in his pajamas and eating some fries dipped in Ketchup.

"What is it Violet? You know it's already nighttime, where were you've been?---!."

After Connor's silence Cameron and Emilia who were enjoying their film simply were curious why Connor froze up on the stairway, they take a look and saw the bowl of fries staining the floor with the ketchup.

They turned their heads to the source of their leader's immobilization and saw Atalanta and Aiden who were behind Violet.

Shortly after everyone was at Connor's room as they were holding a meeting there, Atalanta and Aiden were sitting next to the Shining Knights Leader as Atalanta asks,

"Alright, how are you guys somehow connected to that killing machine?."

"Well we met it one day when we were outside of the kingdom walls..."

As Connor explained everything that has happened between them and in what way are they related to the droid.

Meanwhile Cv was heading back towards the cave entrance, since he had no arms he could use, he used his mouth to hold unto a laptop where he can use it to patch himself up, although it's not sure how much can be fixed since his left arm is gone.

Which only leaves the right arm that received damage from the arrows, but it can still move it around but not like it used to.. back then it looked like a regular arm but now all it could is barely raise it up.

That's why it's going to use the laptop and try to fix himself in what way he can, but that's where it got an idea after opening the laptop and seeing its reflection on the screen.

"Not.... Human.."

It typed a bunch of codes and the next thing that popped up was a text saying.

"Complete Hive Mind."

It pressed enter and the next thing it knew was that it left the machine.. and inside the dark cave two red eyes were glowing.. and a few seconds later a few more joined in, it grew more and more.

And we go back to the Shining Knights Mansion where Connor is almost done explaining.

"After we rescued Stella's sister Ava here, I just got news about the droid's friend being tortured to death by the fragments of the Scorching Scorpions."

"And I was the one in contact with it when it diverged itself into the ocean of vengeance.. I couldn't stop it that day because of my own weakness, looks like it's come to bite me."

Atalanta and Aiden understood their reasons so far for going out of the kingdom but they were being silent.

"I know what you did was a good thing.. but for how you did it is what's troubling me, you guys went outside the kingdom walls and you're not even a full fledged squad yet. Only squads of the kingdom get to go outside the walls what if something had happened to your teammates?."

"I... understand."

There was a huge pause in the room, everyone was silent.

"But don't forget... we often break the rules in order to save someone, I'd pretty much do the same if I were in your shoes."

"So? How do we stop that thing?."

"Maybe we corner it with everyone present here."

Violet was positive about them taking on the droid with everyone in the room as she believes they have the right amount of power to take it down considering the fact that she sliced up its left arm while Atalanta damaging its right.

Because of this she thinks they have a high chance of defeating it together rather than singling it out.

Oliver: I mean that droid is pretty hard to kill remember that time with the swarm of droids?.

Ava: Can't we aim at its head?.

Emilia: Well if we can have a sure way to hit it then yes.

Violet: I told you me and ms. Atalanta damaged its arms it won't be able to use it rapiers any longer.

Xander: Do we even know where it is right now?.

Violet: No.

Atalanta: I know two people with good tracking abilities, shall I go contact them?

Connor: Please do.

Atalanta proceeds to head outside of the room to call her two allies with tracking abilities while Aiden stretches without any restraints and says,

Aiden: Well looks like this'll be a long night.

Connor: What makes you say that?.

Aiden: Well It's just a feeling.

Atalanta comes back inside the room, nervous, scared and said,

"Go check the news now!!."

as Ava turned on the tv to the news.

"This is live in the main city, Heroes from mixed squads have arrived dealing with the hundreds of droids attacking the city, nobody knows where they come from and why they're attacking us but for all we know this could be an invasio---!."

The Tv was turned off as Connor stands up from his chair and says,

"We don't have time to waste we must act now.. we may not be an actual squad yet but we wan't to help the people."

"I like your spirit!."

"Aiden, we should get moving too Connor you and your squad focus on getting civilians out if those droids go anywhere near them you have my full support on fighting them."

Atalanta and Aiden went out directly and went towards the city to help the other heroes while the Shining Knights gets to experience their first mission with the actual heroes.
