Blake drives as long way in the woods. Everything in the woods has changed. The way Irye and her family walked in the woods is short but then Blake with even a car finds it as a long way.
He's been driving since somewhat 4:00 and seems like he is going round in circles.
He doesn't get anywhere no matter the route he takes. Now he's parked the car and taken the map.
"Which place is this?"he sighs, looking around.
The map looks like a puzzle to him since he sucks at reading maps. He gives up after so many tries and blows an air from his mouth.
His hands on his waist, he walks forward a little and looks to his left then to his right. He is trying to find a path that will be a little useful to him.
Suddenly, he hears a noise. His ears move up, one of a rare talent he has. His ears move up in a second whenever something catches his attention.
Blake ears are still up, waiting to make he heard that sound. Soon, he hears it again and looks at the direction it is coming from.
Abigail screeches when the stick plunges into her right arm. Irye had taken it from the floor earlier when she felt helpless in helping the baby.
As the Abigail appears in front of Grams and the baby, she gets hold of the baby's neck and Grams struggles to stop her.
Grams can't touch her since she is shadowy. She now gets it that what they are fighting against is not just some ghost. Her hands pass through Abigail's body whenever she is trying to stop her.
Abigail seeing Grams getting in her way, she gets hold of Grams neck together with the baby's.
Gerrard is weak but still tries to gather some strength to save his Grandma. Claude holds him back and tells him he would go instead. Before Claude could reach there, Irye has plunged a stick into Abigail's right arm and she screams, letting go of the baby. She steps back and vanish into thin air.
Irye from relief falls to the ground and lie flat in her back, breathing heavily. Claude runs to Grams and helps her with the baby as Evie walks to Grams, helping her from getting into shock.
After a while, everything settles down and the family gather themselves under their favorite tree. Gerrard and Grams are told to rest while the rest take care if the baby.
"What she mean by Abigail killing her own child?"Irye hears Claude say and turn to him. "I mean earlier, you or the other you said something about Abigail killing her child. And how is that the shadow you are fighting is your mom?"
"Am....not sure but one thing we know is that that shadow is my mom and she is trying to kill the baby."Irye says.
"Maybe that's the reason why the other me says she is capable of killing her own child."Irye adds.
Something doesn't feel right to her. She clearly heard they the other her said she was a victim. Even if she might not be that conscious when the other one comes in, she hears and sees what goes on.
Her mother seemed a bit scared and startled when her eyes changed color. It may have been because if her eyes, but Irye thinks different.
Why would get mother want to kill her own baby? Why is her ghost still wandering around ferociously and in top of that, why did she feel something familiar with her other self when she said she was a victim? Irye asks herself these questions.
"Why would you mother want to kill her baby? She gave birth to him. She should have just aborted him if she knew she would kill him later on."Mae says roughly.
"Cliché huh"Irye thinks. She heard those words somewhere.
She once said those to her mom. Those words that still hurt her. That why would her mother give birth to her if she would abandon her?
"That is what we must find out."Irye says. "Maybe that's why we came here. Maybe that's why my eyes acted up and changed once we got here...And it might be true that am really connected to this place."
No one says anything about what happened again as they are dumbfounded, now knowing who really is the shadow and the raised questions around it.
The family spend the rest of the afternoon, each thinking about what is going on and what to do next.
In the evening, Irye sets a fire with dry branches to keep them warm. They are hungry and there's no food around. Evie's snack has finished and unless they go on a hunt–somethibg they don't know to do–they will have to starve.
This makes them wonder how the baby survived this as without any any weaknesses or illness.
They go to bed, their mind alert for whatever may come their way.
