Danger Zone: Blood God Forest

In front of the master-student pair was a forest that was covered in an eerie red glow, the sinister aura around this forest seemed as powerful as WI's aura.

Feng spread out his divine sense (this is a wuxia term that refers to the well uhh sensory range of a cultivator. Divine sense at a level can see things even if blind, and a cultivator can even scan his opponent's level, think of it as a system inspection skill. Note: a cultivator's divine sense is connected to their soul, so if the sense is shattered, their soul will be injured.) As soon as it crossed a certain point of the forest, his divine sense is restricted by a mysterious force.

Feng immediately redrew his divine sense and walks towards the forest entrance and begun to inspect it. He even went as far as to look at the dirt on the ground, but he found nothing that was particularly eye-catching. But Feng knew he shouldn't even try to underestimate a danger zone of this level.

He stood up from his crouching position and looked at Eshu

"It looks like we have to go in,"

"But master, you never told me why we were going to this place, it's a freaking danger zone!"

Speaking through the mask that always covered his face, he spoke nonchalantly.

"Don't get your panties in a knot, I promise it will be worth it."

"..."

He stopped speaking with eshu and began to walk inside the forest. Eshu, as his disciple, naturally had to follow.

The trees in the forest seemed nothing special, so what made this place so feared? So far he and Eshu walked into the forest with no difficulties and were starting to find it boring.

In a deep part of the forest, a school lay, in this school, many people could be seen bound to chains and starved, there were also many corpses, by the side, guarding these prisoners, a few silver-clad guards stood.

If Feng were here to see these guards, he would realize that they didn't have natural mana or birth qi. They seemed like… puppets.

Inside a large building, in a hall, a woman wearing a flowing, blood-red ball gown sat on a large, blood-coloured throne, behind her, were humans and a few golden coloured humanoid figures- like the silver figures, they were puppets.

The lady on the throne was looking into the air, and the projected image of Feng and Eshu passing through the forest was shown, she was looking at the screen, but spoke as though she was speaking to someone.

"So my little disciple. Is that the youth that you spoke of? I shall personally test his strength."

Saying this, she moved her hand forward. Although nothing happened in the throne hall, outside while Feng was walking through the forest, a multitude of silver guards came at him, at full charge.

"What the hell! Where did all these things come from?"

By saying "these things" it implied that Feng realized that they were not human or any kind of race known to this dimension.

In this scenario, Eshu was useless, so it seemed. His death magic can't work on alive beings. He stood back while using his equipment to defend himself.

Feng had wasted no time and already summoned his blades to defend himself, His entire being was covered in crackling golden lightning. Golden runes formed at the tip of the blade, and as he brought the blades up to slice. A lightning phoenix was seen and the sound of thunder clapping was heard. He took a dash and thunderclaps sounded when he moved. His movement was no longer as restricted because he had thrown his bags to the floor and gave Eshu the broken demon blade.

As he moved, the sound of flesh breaking apart was heard. Very soon, he had cleared the area of silver beasts. He was confused at something at that moment. How come these puppets had flesh?

He pondered for a while, and then he came to a realization.

"I see, the puppets are made from the corpses of humanoid races, and most of them were human."

He now realized that it was the Blood Queen trying to get rid of an intruder. He pondered for a while more and then kept his bags in his spatial crystal. 'This excursion will be a dangerous one.'

In the meantime, Feng walked on with eshu, and pondered about random things, like his spatial crystal, he could get a spatial ring or a space belt. But because of his unwillingness to spend money, and his love for his home back on asura palace, Feng kept the spatial crystal.

He kept on pondering about more random things; harems and why he hated them, wine, fighting styles that he had in mind, girls, and other good things in life.

Just as he was about to indulge in his thoughts, Feng heard a loud noise, so he snapped out of his state and looked for the source of the noise. He frowned his mouth because he had heard that sound when he was on earth. The sound became louder, like the beating of a thousand drums. Feng felt his ears being kneaded over and over.

The sound was like a rhythm that blocked him from concentrating, just what was this sound that he heard. It was then that realization hit him.

"That is the sound of an army!"

From this moment on, he looked at Eshu and the army approaching him from all sides. He knew there was no backing down now.

'How am I supposed to handle this? Eshu is totally useless here, and I am all alone to deal with a massive army. Think Feng Think!'

Then from the depths of his mind, proteus, who learnt how to cultivate spiritual energy, spoke for the first time in months.

{Feng, shall I help?}

'Yes, please do, with my demonic upgrade, we will be unstoppable'

Saying this, an armour-like shell suddenly covered Feng's entire body, the shell had a black onyx colour and had blue lines which ran across it. This was Proteus, but something was off. He seemed stronger and had an air of spirituality.

Feng ignored the fact and directly used his demon mark on Proteus. At first, there was resistance, showing that he had been training. After the demon mark spread through the body of this mech shell, covering his entire body, the colour of the shell changed.

Proteus now looked obsidian black, and red lines ran across his body.

Through proteus's body, Feng now had a deep, demon-like voice.

"If I don't kill you abominations with my hands today, then I won't be called Daoist Crazy Forest!"

Saying this, he dashed forward into the crowd of puppets, massacring every one of them he met. Today Feng indulged in all the violence and fighting he had ever wished for.
