Eshu's Potential

In the deepest parts of Blood God Forest, buildings and a large castle lay, and inside the castle, a multitude of humanoid, human and puppet slaves could be seen running around, yell whispering things like:

"Those outsiders won against the Strength general!"

"We are all doomed, the witch will be so mad!"

"Is this where we will end?"

They said different things, yet in their hearts, they all cursed Feng and Eshu for hastening their death periods. Whenever the blood queen was angry, she would always pick a slave to torture and turn into a puppet.

But contrary to their thoughts, the Blood Queen couldn't care less about the little slaves. All she was thinking about was the potential puppet generals.

"If I could turn those boys into my puppets how good would that be, with the older one's strange powers and lightning mana, he could be my second-in-command gold general, and as for the little one, he is amazing, with the power of life and death, he could be my number one personal guard."

It wasn't surprising that she valued Eshu more than Feng, after all, one only had some unknown powers, while the other had life-death magic and was still a child, one of them would be easy nurture, yet he would be hard to bend, while the other was hard to nurture, but was still a child and would have little-to-no experience. So, of course, she would value Eshu, more than she would value Feng.

"The strength general barely had sufficient power to handle both of them, I didn't endow him with much energy, maybe the speed general will be able to handle them."

She thought out loud; she sent a mental command, and a blur appeared in front of her throne, it was a silver-coloured puppet; it was like the strength general, a Living Puppet.

This puppet had a tinge of gold on it. This represented that it was in-between the silver general and gold general rank of the blood queen's forces.

"Master you called me"

This puppet had a sinister voice, and it seemed more loyal to its master than the strength general.

"When those two have finished healing up, go confront them tomorrow, and if you can force them to a certain point, I will control you, to make sure you don't lose."

"Yes, master!"

This puppet was excited, it seemed to want its master to control it so badly. One would wonder why it was so excited.

Meanwhile, Feng had already donned his clothes, mask, and glove. He still let his feet dry in the crisp air of the forest, and the warm glow of the campfire.

Eshu was lying next to a log, still unconscious. Then suddenly he was awoken with a jolt when a crystal clear water was dumped on his face. His now opened blood-shot eyes warily looked around for the source, but he was only met with the sight of his master holding a metal pail and pursing his lips in annoyance.

"Master… where did you get the bucket of water?"

"I always keep buckets of water on me," He says shrugging and placing the bucket back in his spatial crystal.

"..."

"Wake up, you need to recover your energy for the incoming interrogation,"

"What interrogation?"

"This one!"

He says and questioned Eshu rapidly without giving the poor boy time to answer one question before he asked another one.

"What is that power?"

"Can you teach me?"

"Do you have any more memory skills?"

"But aren't you the teacher?"

"Yes, that's right,"

For a moment Feng as stumped, and Eshu was relieved, but his relief was washed away by Feng's next statement.

"Then accept me as your disciple, it will be a win-win!"

"How is that a win-win?"

Eshu didn't know whether to laugh or cry from the statement of his master, Feng's words were simply too unreasonable.

After a while of going back and forth, Eshu finally managed to convince Feng to stop trying to become his disciple. He only asked the basic questions that had to do with Eshu's upgraded skill set. Like a young boy, Eshu answered with innocence.

"When master taught me about going into combat prepared, it reminded me of someone giving me a similar lesson,"

Feng's questions were answered immediately, with the exception of the questions of the runes in his eyes, every other suspicion was cleared up.

Thinking of what Damon had said to him when he asked about Eshu's clestial demon bloodline awakening. Damon's response was simple, Eshu had not awakened and would only awaken later on, and as for his life and death power, it was something from his previous life.

It turned out that Eshu was born a Jade rank being, so he was able to fuse laws into his mana, his mana was special even before the fusion of Law of Life into it.

Just thinking of how much of a monster he was before the bloodline awakening, one could only imagine how his celestial demon energy would be like.

Feng had always known that Eshu had a lot of talent, but thinking of the answer which Damon provided gave him the chills. The amount of power which he had at birth was already shocking, and to top that, when he was still in his youth, he modified his mana with the Law of Life and made it even stronger, and that was all before the awakening.

Feng knew Eshu's potential was huge, and if there was a realm beyond the Fantasy Dimension, then that would be where he belonged.

He shook his head and dispelled it from such thoughts and brought out a few pieces of raw magical beast meat.

He hunted these beasts while Eshu was still unconscious. To Feng with extraordinary cooking skills, these flesh which were already rare delicacies in the first place would turn into real treasures.

He brought out a giant wok from his spatial crystal and placed it above the roaring flames. He also had a lot of cooking ingredients with him, oil and some other things.

Feng placed a bit of oil in the wok and made sure it spread across the surface properly. Once the oil was heated up a bit, he placed the meats in the wok one by one.

In a few seconds, there was a shade of brown on these meats, and Feng had brought out all sorts of spices and begun to utilise them. The spices which were used to season the meats were some normal ones like chilli pepper and some other things, but they were also some unknown spices which he had picked up back on earth.

The forest was filled with the air of all the meats, and if the beasts had not seen the prowess of this human, they definitely would have tried to attack him.

Eshu, watching his master and his big wok, suddenly felt his mouth become dry, he was speechless. He then secretly muttered to himself.

"Is this a vacation to master? Others bring equipment and medicinal pills, yet master brings along buckets of waters, spices and giant woks… Just what sort of master have I gone to get myself.'

Note: Eshu is not aware that he is of the celestial demon race.
