Strange Rock

As the party walked deeper into the forest, the leaves on trees became blood red, probably from the influence of the Blood Queen and her magic. They had encountered very little danger after the death of the speed puppet general presumably, the Blood Queen was still contemplating on what to do next.

In the meantime, Feng and the others used the rare peaceful moment to plunder the forest dry. All resources whether or not they were worth it went into space rings and crystals. Although the value of some of these items was low, many people would buy it once they heard it was from a class eight danger zone. So summarizing it, they wanted to rip off some weak rich fellows who hoped to change the story of their life by eating some rare grass or fruit like in the legends.

"Hehehe, if not for Long Hu I truly won't have thought of this!"

"Of course, apart from finding treasure, I can also scam people, it's one of the God-given gifts of us Xiang Dragons!" Naturally, Long Hu didn't forget to exaggerate himself and his race in the course of Feng speaking.

The atmosphere grew awkward as none of them had a topic to rave about, this was mostly due to the presence of the Shameless dragon Mercenaries. If not for them, the weird atmosphere would have been long gone.

Feng looked into the air, wondering how Torch was finding it in the Gene Dimension. As he absent-mindedly walked, his leg walked into an object and a surge of pain was transmitted to his brain. One had to know that Feng had an abnormally strong body from the Celestial Demon Bloodline, and he still tempered it with lightning. Imagination was the only thing that could describe his body.

Yet there was still such an object that could pose harm to him. What surprised him was that this object was randomly sitting in the forest pathway. He looked down to see what had obstructed him; it was a large rock about the size of a kiwi's egg.

Feng looked curiously at this object and kicked it multiple times, only causing further damage to his foot. The stone rock was rather strange, so Feng placed it within his space ring for further inspection.

. . .

At the core of the forest, in the Blood Queens palace, the queen paced around the throne hall looking for a solution, the guards who regularly stood behind her throne were now puddles of blood, the only sign of their existence was the golden armour.

"These fellows are quite tricky, but I can't let my student go just like that, who knows if he can protect himself should these people try to harm him. I need to act fast!"

A light bulb seemed to flash by her head, as an idea struck her.

She called for a golden armour guard.

"Deploy the Blood Beasts!" She says coldly without looking at the golden-clad guard.

"Miss, all of them?" he asks quite frightened.

"Yes all of them, don't ask me such foolish questions."

"But what if they become nourishment for the boy it wi..." Up until the moment of death, he still didn't know how he died.

The Blood Queen still stood there in a lofty position, all previous traces of panic were now gone on her beautiful, stony face.

. . .

As they walked forward Feng continued to observe any changes to the stone egg, but he found nothing un-ordinary. With a sigh, he gently placed it back into his space crystal and walked forward as nonchalantly as before.

Just as he walked, he heard the fluttering of wings, looking up he saw several birds flying in different directions. Seeing this, he suddenly had a bad feeling.

Night soon came and everyone had their fill and begun to sleep, a few taking shifts and rotating from time to time. Feng was a training maniac and could hardly sleep, so he cultivated mana along with proteus who absorbed spiritual energy.

Both silently cultivated with their eyes closed as a thud sounded, Feng wordlessly summoned his dagger in a flash of lightning only to realize that there was nothing around him.

But there was! The stone which he placed into his space crystal was now situated near Feng. He gave a weird look towards the stone and continued to cultivate, although he was cultivating, he also silently watched the stone, and he was met with a shock.

The stone was cultivating spiritual energy! Although this was weird, he didn't want to find it too weird, because he was still in a fantasy continent where they had access to the internet and technology.

He ignored the stone and continued cultivating, until it was dawn, although the mercenaries switched shifts, it was mostly Feng protecting the camp; he didn't say anything and continued cultivating.

. . .

The party was on the road again after a night's rest. The bad feeling Feng had while he was training kept on increasing day by day, but he shrugged it off due to the fact that nothing happened. As they walked further into the forest, the looting continued until there was little to no resources in the forest.

Feng kept observing the strange rock all the way and marked its cultivation pattern; It cultivated in the early morning and at night when the essences of Yin-Yang are at their peak. Feng tried to follow its cultivation pattern and surprisingly it was similar to the Qi cultivation techniques that were in his memories and the ones that were provided by Asura.

What other mysteries did this rock hold?
