Ethereal Lady

The bandits argued over who would get the women after the boss had his turn. The skinny fellow claimed that since he had stayed with the boss for the longest, he had to be the one to have them next.

The pair of black eyes watching from the tree got irritated by the topic and leaped out. A slender figure flew out, and it was a girl?

The girl wore a jade mask and pure white robes. She had long black hair. A large amount of an unknown element of mana appeared around her hands. As she chanted, the mana began to slowly form a spell model; the mana converged together and formed a jade white sword. The mana sword slashed forward and diced some mercenaries into pieces immediately.

The others, upon seeing this, got alarmed and pulled out some crude weapons, they were after all not even Mages, there was no way in hell they'd be able to beat her.

The boss and the skinny fellow looked on, not rushing like those fools. Their decision was correct, those fellows who charged forward died immediately. The boss seemed confident that he would be able to get her to spare him, but the skinny one shivered and a small puddle had even formed beneath, giving off a disgusting smell.

"How repulsive."

The girl spoke coldly, with a voice that would enchant many men.

"Madam, please forgive this one, these filthy bandits used a treasure to control me, an almighty Mage to be their leader!"

The boss says kowtowing, banging his head onto the ground with each word. A resounding thud rang out each time.

The lady looked on with a weird look. Would that preposterous lie really fool her? Of course not! But in other not to look cruel, she nodded her head slightly and waved her hand which was coated in her weird mana.

Several things floated into the air immediately, but to her surprise, there was one which gave off magical energy. It seemed to be various puppet strings. She looked at the boss in surprise; it was also then that she noticed the puppet strings that hanged up from his body. Seeing as she finally noticed the strings, the boss gave a wry smile.

"Who controlled you?" The lady asked the boss coldly.

"It was that skinny bastard over there!" The boss yelled, his eyes gleaming with a murderous light, as he pointed at the skinny fellow who always stood by his side, the classic henchman-looking character.

The person he pointed at, gave off no mana radiations, he was an utterly ordinary man. The only explanation for being able to use a high-grade magic treasure like this was obviously elemental crystals, which were gotten after a huge amount of mana was condensed.

The lady slashed forward and a beam of white light shot out of her sword, decapitating the skinny fellow.

She turned away from the corpse and faced the treasure again, but just as she reached out with her mana coated hand to grab it, a black-clad figure grabbed it before her.

"Hehehe, Eshu, Nosferatu, Zhifang. Get out here; I seemed to have gotten this nice-looking magic treasure!"

The black-clad figure looked behind him and yelled loudly. If not for Feng, who else could this audacious fellow be? He had seen the lady in action and as a middle-rank Jade realm expert, there was no way he would be able to beat her. He wasn't even sure which realm she was in.

"Eh, who are you guys?"

All this time, he admired the treasure. It was only now that he looked towards his surroundings. He saw the boss, the white-robed girl, the merchant who was cowering, and when he finally laid eyes on the voluptuous ladies, it was only then that the look in his eyes changed.

He sauntered over to them and grabbed one of their waists; the girl whom he grabbed was a girl with bunny ears and a short fluffy tail.

"Hello ladies, I am Lin Feng, captain of the Purple Midnight Mercenaries, nice to meet you. Once my companions arrive with the carriage, I will definitely find space to accommodate you lovely ladies." He spoke eloquently, his tongue as slippery as an eel's body. He probably already knew what to say from the beginning.

Upon hearing his title, the girls had no reservations and openly flirted with him, pressing their boobs against his back and massaging his shoulders. Seeing this, Feng gave a hearty laugh and spoke towards the lady and the boss.

"Hey, you two, these ladies have 'introduced' themselves, what about you, no introduction?"

The white-robed lady was mostly a calm and collected person, but she was angry. When had she ever encountered a person as shameless as him?

As if reading her mind, the youth spoke again "Heh, if you think I'm shameless, wait till you meet Shangren Zhifang."

Hearing the black-clad youth say Shangren Zhifang again, the lady vaguely remembered a large merchant clan in the Human Continent, and their top descendant was Shangren Zhifang, not only in matters involving trading, but he was also a good combatant.

Did this vulgar youth really know Shangren Zhifang, she highly doubted it!

"Hey, Lin Feng, I came as fast as I could!"

A voice came out from a carriage that appeared in the canyon. The clopping of horses and rattling of wheels stopped. The carriage stopped and an ordinary-looking rotund youth came out, accompanied by two other figures, one a boy around fourteen years, on his face, two teardrop-like runes, one black, and the other white. The boy had blond hair and hazelnut coloured eyes.

The other was a young man, looking the same age as the rotund youth and the black-clad fellow. This youth had black hair and red eyes.

Seeing this, the lady's black eyes almost popped out. That ordinary-looking youth was the Shangren Zhifang that the black-clad youth kept talking about. Why was it that today she was constantly wrong?!
