Arriving at the destination

Although everywhere on her face was masked except her eye, she looked at the similarly masked youth in front of her with surprise. He was armed to the teeth, the mask he wore was a magic treasure, and so was the cloak, the boots and the gloves. Could this youth be the descendant of some powerful existence?

"Hehe, Zhifang, do you know the name of this treasure?" Feng laughed as he handed the treasure over to Shangren Zhifang.

"Hmm, yes. It is known as Puppeteer, a very high grade magic treasure capable of throwing strings on one's target to control the target's body,"

"Ooh, I want this one!" Nosferatu spoke, excitement oozed out of his body. One could only pray for his future opponents.

"Sure." Shangren Zhifang and Feng gave their approvals and gave the treasure to him.

"Hehe, I don't need it anyway, my Underworld Cards are more than enough." Eshu laughed cheerfully as he played with a deck of cards which he referred to as Underworld Cards.

The cards radiated a strange power as they were shuffled through Eshu's fingers.

The boss and the girl looked at the oddballs with strange looks on their faces, where did this group of weirdos come from?

"Hehe, Zhifang expand the carriage. We need space for these lovely ladies."

Zhifang looked at the beautiful ladies that surrounded Feng and laughed perversely.

"Expand!"

With a command, the carriage expanded, and had several more rooms than before. Feng was grateful to this carriage, a journey to the Wolf Immortal's palace from Mercenary Valley would take at least one year, but with this carriage they shortened it to a few months.

Now this carriage had even gave him space to let off some steam. Of course he had to be grateful.

The Purple Midnight mercenaries along with the beautiful ladies had began to walk towards the carriage; all of a sudden they heard a loud yell.

"Wait!"

It was the boss, all of them stared in shock, even the white-robed lady by his side looked at him in shock.

"Eh, what do you want?"

"I wish to join the Purple Midnight Mercenaries!"

"What's your name?"

"Alfred."

"Any special skills or abilities?"

"Uhm, I can cook."

"Nope, I do that already." Feng says pointing at himself.

"I've been told that I am a good learner, you only need to train me to do something and I will learn instantly."

"Hmm, a test then. Zhifang, give him some knowledge of strategy, let's see what he's got."

As Feng said that, Shangren Zhifang pulled out a random book from his space ring and threw it towards Alfred, Alfred like a fish thirsting for water furiously read the book.

. . .

A test took place and not only did Alfred not fail, he also passed magnificently. The fellow was a magnificent strategist. Soon after, he was wearing the logo of the Purple Midnight Mercenaries on his clothes.

The logo included a midnight sky in which there lay seven moons, each smaller than the other. The design seemed quite beautiful and inspiring.

By the time Feng completed the imprint of the Purple Midnight Mercenaries on Alfred's leather jacket, it was already slightly dark out.

"Alright, fellas lets get packing, we've been moving for about five months now and we will reach the Wolf Immortal's palace in a few more weeks, we need to keep on moving, after all there are a lot of things to be done."

Feng says, packing up his imprint machines (just by the thought of imprint machine, one would wonder whether if they truly were in a fantasy world).

"Hey, you rascal do not leave, that treasure was my spoil of battle, you have no right to pick it!"

The white-robed lady spoke angrily, as she stomped towards Feng in a fit of rage.

"Hehe, finders keepers, losers weepers," Feng says playfully with his tongue stuck out.

But this was really not funny in the lady's head. 'I found the treasure, bastard.' To a certain extent, one could even say that she was on the brink of bursting into tears.

"Hehe, tell you what…" Shangren Zhifang spoke as if about to propose a deal, but then suddenly trailed off, waiting for the Ethereal Lady to say her name.

"May, my name is May."

"Tell you what May, if you join the Purple Midnight Mercenaries, not only will you have the opportunity to gain more treasures, but you will even have the opportunity to gain access to multiple other limited perks."

May says, squeezing her face into a frown, rejecting the proposal without the slightest hesitation.

"Apologies, but I am not interested."

Shangren Zhifang seemed to have expected this and made a final proposal.

"You will have multiple opportunities to insult Lin Feng."

". . ." Feng.

". . ." Everyone else.

"Deal." May

Soon after, the Purple Midnight Mercenaries accepted its second new member.

. . .

After a while, the journey to the Wolf Immortal's palace became more bearable for Feng, this as of course due to the presence of those well-endowed beauties, he ravaged them constantly, making sure he was not utterly bored.

But this night, that wasn't what he was doing, this night he was on shift for guard duty against enemies that may appear when they travelled during the night. Given that he was a vampire, Nosferatu was the only one with a stable position. He was the perfect night patrol, because vampires were aristocrats of the night and darkness, feasting on glasses of "red wine".

But this time around, along with Nosferatu, Feng and May were on night patrol duty for tonight.

Presently, Feng sat on the top of the carriage, with a stalk of dry grass in his mouth. Ignoring the jumps the carriage had as it hit small stones and pebbles that lay across the ground.

"Hey."

A soft voice rang out, and Feng out of habit put his guard up, only to see that it was May trying to climb up to the top of the carriage to sit by his side. Feng watched with an amused expression on his face.

"Hmph, such a manner- less man, can't you even help a lady out?!" May said with a bit of contempt on her face, but of course even after Feng reached out to grab her, her pride took control and she shook his hand away, insisting on finishing the task on her own.

Feng watched on, and when she finally reached the top, he asked blandly.

"What'd you want?"

"Just a few questions, nothing more." She smiled warmly, seemingly choosing to ignore his rude behavior.

The questionnaire asked her questions, and the answerer tried his best to answer the questions.

. . .

A few weeks passed and the Purple Midnight Mercenaries reached the Wolf Immortal's palace without any hindrance.

"Umm, are you sure we can just barge in?" Eshu and Nosferatu had their doubts and were slightly nervous, Eshu was scared because it would be his first time meeting an immortal-level existence, and as for Nosferatu, it was his first time barging into the residence of a supreme expert aside the Blood Queen's castle

'Pfft, chill, you guys are over-reacting, the Wolf Immortal is anything but scary, the only suitable words that can be used to describe him are Cute, Shota, Chuunibyou, Weeb, and such."

Everyone could not help but feel astonished at the way Feng described the Wolf Immortal. Even the normally lofty May.

They entered the large blue crystal palace almost immediately

"You guys just watch." Feng says confidently under their doubtful looks .

"Shota Wolf Immortal! Come out!" However, Feng's next words were highly unprecedented, and he sounded like someone who beckoned death towards himself.

"Who dares to step into the house of This King with such arrogant words?!"

At the next moment, an ancient voice rang out, making their skins crawl.
