After lunch, all of them went back to training their asses off. Ansem left after some while with his lieutenant to check on the man's condition in the medical building.
He was a lone survivor out of all the other scientists so he was a very important person. Somehow, his companions had all died when soldiers were sent out to capture them.
The man's condition was somehow getting better and was now in observation after 4 hours of surgery yesterday. He might be able to talk after some weeks.
The man woke up and everyone was alerted. After some interrogation, he gave in and told all the imformation regarding their base creating a bionuclear weapon. He said that they had a strong backing and their sponsor, the Kraits organisation. It was a terrorist based organisation which dealt largely in weapons, human trafficking. They had their bases all over the world working under their name. They had captured many renowned scientists from all over the world and forced them to come up wit bionuclear weapons.
The man captured was a head scientist who worked under one of their base.
After uncovering the truth, he asked the officers to take his life since living was worthless now. He deeply feared the Kraits. He thoight it was better to die than be found out by the Kraits that he had betrayed them.
Although his knowledge about the project was not at all very deep, they got the gist of what the organisation was trying to do. As Ansem listened to his confession, his face darkened as he was familiar with the Kraits. He had once saw his father, when he was young, flipping over some documents with its contents being the Kraits. He was not mistaken, it was the same thing. At that time, the Kraits had not been that much of a threat yet. Since he was also a member of a family which was connected with both bright and dark side of the world, he knew mostly about everything. The Kraits was something they could not ignore as they had developed very much in just some few years stretching out its hands to all the corners of the world.
After that, they gave sedatives to the man and all of them walked out heaving a huge sigh, not that of relief but that of a grief. All of them walked solemnly into their meeting room.
"The Kraits....i didn't expect them to have grown so big over the few years."
"They made us turn a blind eye to it so that they could operate in the dark and develop like this!"
"You are right, that time it was just a small business with no harm. Yet now it has grown up as the most notorious organisation!"
"Sir, i would personally like to take over this case again", Ansem spoke up after they had finished their discussion.
All of them were not surprised but they could not let Ansem handle this. It's not like that they didn't trust him but his experience was limited.
"Sir, if you dont mind. My team can partner up with another experts team since our team lacks experience for now", Ansem saw their hesitating expressions and said that.
They immediately agreed.
"This is a good chance for your team to sharpen their skills too. Practise makes perfect. But you have to be very careful as this mission is not some kind of rescue- transport anymore."
"I understand sir!" Ansem replied.
"After that, we shall discuss the foundation of this mission with the other team. I shall go gather them now. We need to disintegrate this Kraits as soon as possible!"
Everyone agreed and the meeting was soon dismissed.
After dinner, Ansem called his team to their assigned meeting room.
"Guys i have an important mission on my hand. Will you guys be willing to complete it together?", Ansem started.
Lieutenant Ian,"Captain you know very well we will always follow you. Set the formalities aside and tell us about it"
"Okay i will not let you wait anymore.."
He explained to them everything he knew about it.
"This mission requires a collaboration with some other experts. Do you have any dissent regarding this matter?", Ansem asked rather nonchalantly.
"Nope, not at all"
Everyone's reply was negative.
"Also guys, i forgot to mention this part. I have not said it to the superior officers either...", Ansem glanced around and sure enough their faces were that of a very eager and curious type.
"I have seen something about the Kraits in my fathers files during my time back there. I think it must be of some connection with my father too. Who knows we might have a face off", Ansem replied without much confident and everyone picked up on that tone.
"Then we should bring it to light soon and see how deep are their connections.!", Rick replied excitedly.
Everyone was rather pumped for this mission as this time, it was kind of life threatening.
