Sneaking

A disaster had occured. The whole country was in chaos as one of the leading nuclear plant had leaked. Many were affected. Probably thousands killed. More than three thousand affected due to it. At this time, the hospitals, food corporations and many others were rushing to help them.

After some weeks the mess was cleaned up.

The nuclear plant was under the Kraits...the military had no option but to carefully plan by laying low.

Towards the evening, Ansem came back after discussing some things with Roger.

Amber was quietly sitting on the bed with her earphones and looking at the scenery outside....greenery everywhere.

She sensed Ansem come in and excitedly turned to him,"Did you hear this? Did you?

Lilia and Matt had produced another album again. One of the songs is breathtaking. You should listen ..here"

She gave it to Ansem and looked at him expectant eyes. Ansem listened for some time, smiled softly and patted her. Somewhere inside, he felt his heart twist. Amber was a passionate person...passionate about music . But because of him and his goal, she left all of the fame, luxuries willingly and followed him. The life she had been leading till this very day, she never complained about anything but always found a way to improve herself into the most outstanding person so that she could stand by his side. He felt satisfied and proud of her but also guilty that she was dragged into this because of her. As he thought more about this, he sighed.

Amber thought he didn't like the song,"There are many others, if that is too depressing i can chamge into another one.."

Hearing that, Ansem was hurt yet again.

"Amber, im sorry", he whispered oh so softly.

Amber was stunned and stared at him with wide eyes.

"Why ..why do you say that?", she felt her heart beating fast.

"You went through all the troubles for me. Im really sorry. Music was your passion but you left that willingly and followed me here."

Amber smiled at his words.

"Yes, indeed music was my life, my passion. But somehow along the way, i met you . You became both my life and passion. Also, i have lead my life in the entertainment industry..i know about it..i have experienced it now its time to experience another new things again..Right? You can't forever be in the same place all your life."

Ansem was moved by her words. He pulled her into his arms and stayed like that for a long time.

After some time, "I have something to say, Amber"

"What is it?", she immediately perked up.

"Im going to my family home tonight and see if i can sneak inside."

"Really? I hope it's not related to Uncle"

"We just have to see...that's it"

"When are you going?"

"Midnight"

"Ohh...okay i'll go prepare some things just in case", she rushed off the bed but she was caught by Ansem who pulled onto the bed and towered on top of her.

"Im going with Roger. You should not come. We have to be careful"

"What?! That's not fa-"

She was stopped when Ansem kissed her with all his might and did not let her go till late at night.

When he got up to leave, he heard her saying," You are very bad. I have never seem your home and you don't want to take me! Humph!!"

"Be a good girl. I can't guarantee what will happen that's why. Go to sleep. I shall be back at dawn"

Amber puffed her mouth and turned away after she received a kiss on her forehead.

Ansem just smiled at her left.

Roger was waiting outside,"You sure are lucky. I should get myself a girl soon too i guess"

Ansem just smirked at him and went away.

"Hey! Whats with that reaction?!", Roger followed after him.

Vaughlan family home---

No security alarm was triggered. They were very stealth and alert. After some time, they reached the living room from a window. They sure are lucky...Ansem knew that their old butler had always forgot to bolt this window since the time he had stayed here. Nothing changed in this house...

Ansem and Roger slowly made their way towards his father's study. There was a security pin there. Ansem conjured up some codes from his memory and entered it, it opened. It was his brother's, his' and the twins' birthday dates combined. It was easy.

Both of them went in and locked the door behind them. They rummaged through the drawers, files and the computer. However they only saw a file....that file was the one Ansem had seen long ago. It described the foundation of the Kraits from an insignificant organisation to the megapowerhouse it is now. It seems that the file was updated every month. The description was more or less concise and one could understand at a single glance. It seemed it was better to store in files than in the computer.

As they were going through it and snapping some important things. Ansem felt something was clearly not right. As he was thinking about it, the door slowly opened.

Ansem looked at Roger, then in tacit agreement went towards the dark side of the room.

The person stepped inside and turned on the lights.

"Long time no see, brother", Gordon smiled.

Ansem stepped out with Roger and simply stared at his elder brother thinking of everything he had done from the sidelines from him. They didn't want to fight each other, they always had an understanding between each other but they rarely talked. Both were concise in words and were very compatible to each other.

"Thank you, Elder Brother."

Gordon just smiled knowing it's about all those times he had helped him and turned away after saying,"Goodnight..."

He nodded at Roger with a smile which was not yet a smile but it didn't look pretentious.

He reached the door and called out," You have five minutes" and walked away.

Roger was in a daze.."Damn, and i thought you were aloof and cold. But again, he seemed like a good person"

Ansem.just smiled at him," He had just disabled the securities in the while house and replaced it with previous recordings..see? Quick"

After four minutes, two shadows rushed out of the Vaughlan family home in the dark of night and left discreetly. Gordon watched from his room, turned and switched off the lights and went back to sleep...Ansem, i really hope you can bring Dad to justice.
