Jake arrived in what he thought would be his home town but as he looked around he noticed that he must have somehow teleported to the wrong place, as he was in the middle of the Las Vegas strip, Jake was confused on how he ended up here since he was focused on his home town but as he was in awe pedestrians started pushing past him.
Realising it was strange that he just appeared from nowhere he started moving along hoping no one saw him appear so he starting making his way down the street, knowing he couldn't teleport again whilst on the streets.
Jake walked for some time until he came across a hotel that he went into and snuck into the toilets, knowing it was a safe place to use his teleportation again, he closed himself into one of the stalls and concentrated on his home.
Before he used his teleportation again he stopped and thought about where he should actually teleport to, knowing that he can't teleport in the square where he wanted to last tome in case someone saw him appear.
Instead, he thought of a more secure place, somewhere he knew no one will be and where he could easily access, as he focused on it he disappeared and appeared exactly where he was focusing.
Jake had just teleported to the staircase of his old apartment, overjoyed that he has finally made it home he ran down the stairs and walked out the building, as he was walking away from the building he walked by someone who he thought looked familiar, after thinking about it he realised he had just walked past his old neighbour Lee Bradshaw.
The man who basically started him on his path, turning around he approached Lee.
Jake: Excuse me, are you, Lee Bradshaw
Lee turned around and as Jake got a closer look at his face he could tell it was him, he did look a bit rougher than before, but he could still tell it was him.
Lee's eyes widened
Lee: Holy shit, your Jake, Jake Kynnersly right, Jesus I thought you were dead, a lot of people did
Jake laughed a little
Jake: Nope not dead, just been travelling, well see ya
Jake turned back around and headed down the street leaving Lee standing there speechless, Jake wanted to say more to Lee but knew that he needed to see his family.
Jake arrived at his parents' home walking down the path he glanced through the window, he could see his mother who was busy cleaning up, and as he looked towards the drive he noticed that his car was still there in the exact place he left it 3 years ago.
Jake was about to knock the door when suddenly he became nervous and ran back out and hid around the corner, he had no idea why he wanted to see them but he just could not seem to bring himself to knock the door.
He decided to walk away and get some rest before he met his family again, Jake went and spent the night at a nearby hotel with the money that had still leftover from when he left.
Jake got into the hotel room which seemed very cramped only just fitting 2 single beds, Jake then laid out his bags on the opposing bed and lay down thinking how he was going to meet his parents.
With nothing coming to mind Jake decided to read some of the books he had brought back for research, some time had passed and Jake was feeling pretty tired, so he decided to get some sleep and wing it tomorrow hoping he can think of something.
It was early in the morning and Jake was heading to his parents' house again, this time he had a little bit more confidence to actually walk up and knock on the door, he had no idea what he was going to say once he was actually there but there was no other way to do it.
Jake had reached his parents' house and was stood just outside of the garden stunned once again by nerves, with a swift slap to his own face Jake shook it off and opened the gate heading towards the door, as Jake knocked the door he could hear his family dog barking and his mother's voice as she was trying to get him to settle down.
Through the blurry glass in the door Jake could see his mother heading towards it after putting the dog away in the kitchen, as she was opening the door jakes heart started beating at a rapid pace, the door swung open.
Sherri: How can I, OH MY GOD JAKE
She rushed him to embrace him with tears starting to form in her eyes, Jake was stood there no knowing what to say as his mother was crying in his arms, the only thing coming to mind
Jake: Hey mom, can I come in
She looked up at him and started to chuckle as she brought him into the house, once he was in the house his mother told him to take a seat in the living room and then went into the kitchen to get her phone and call the rest of his family.
As Jake was sat there he looked around the room and noticed that not a lot had changed in the room still had pictures of the family upon the shelves, the sofas were new the TV was still in the same corner, as he was looking around he felt at home and was happy that he had come back.
His mom entered the room whilst on the phone to who Jake assumed was his dad as he could hear his voice, she handed him a cup of tea and then left again still talking on the phone, Jake looked down at the cup of tea thinking he did not even ask for tea and she just made it for him.
His mother entered the room once again this time, not on the phone.
Sherri: Oh my god Jake, I'm so happy your back
She started to choke up and almost started crying again, she held her tears back
Sherri: So where did you go, and what have you been doing for the past 3 years?
Jake: Well, I just travelled around Asia for a while, mainly staying in a small village for the majority of it
Not telling a complete lie but not revealing the whole truth, Jake and his mother then spoke for some time about his travels Jake not revealing exactly what happened.
